OMG So good!!! My fajita de carne assada was just divine! Margaritas are yummy also! So much food for one plate! Love it

The food is delicious, but the customer service is terrible. My water glass was empty during my whole meal while the server was watching a soccer game.

This is the best Mexican food I have ate on the Eastside. I was told by my cousin to try it and she loved. She is from New Mexico so I trusted her. I finally tried since we moved over to North Rose Hill in Kirkland a month ago. My new friend who grew up here said they loved it too after I told them. We will be going here on a regular basis for sure. I would give it a 5 but waiter was a little stand offish. Otherwise TRYTHIS!

Santa fe is the large family Mexican restaurant, but still has good authentic taqueria style food. I love all pastor and they have really good all pastor and they put that ish in tacos, burritos, quesadillas, all the things. Couple people I was with had tamales, which they serve them enchilada style, and said they were good. Service was great and lunch portions were huge. You will have leftovers

On a recommendation from an acquaintance and longtime resident of Kirkland I asked for great Mexican food. Hands down they both said Santa Fe at 124@124. We tried it last night and their recommendation was spot on. House margarita was delicious with no bite, just smooth and good. Salsa is on the warm side but it keeps me from scooping it up. We tried the«Mexican guacamole» awesome. Retried beans were delicious as well. I had the Chili Relleno(my litmus test for quality) terrific. My wife had the tortilla soup with plenty of shredded chicken. Luis was our server, friendly and always available. We will be regulars.

The whole family liked it, hubby said it’s the best Mexican food since we got to Washington. I liked that the veggie enchiladas had actual veggies, good ones, very nicely grilled. Some places only have cheese or rice/beans for vegetarian dishes. The only criticism, the host who seated us, our server, and the person who bussed the table had very strong perfume /cologne that we could smell every time they walked by or came to our table. Food was so good we were able to ignore it. :)

Such good food! Hands down the most authentic Mexican food I have been able to find in pretty much all of Washington. Fresh made chips and salsa, a menu with authentic dishes and pretty much anything you could want or desire in Mexican cuisine. Caldo 7 mares and enchiladas are recommended. Great service, music and bar as well.

My family of five was impressed with the kids’ menu until the bill came out. It turned out each $ 4.95 kid’s meal was actually $ 7.45. A significant increase when ordering three kids’ meals. They list drinks on the kids’ menu but nowhere does it say that each drink costs $ 2.50. The listed desserts have a prominent price next to them. When we questioned the waiter(thinking it was a mistake on the bill), he asked, «What, is it your first time here?» WHOCARES? You should clearly state on the kids’ menu if you are charging drinks for half the price of the meal itself!!! He said he would tell the manager about our suggestion but made it clear we are the first ones to ever complain to him about this. When he came back with our credit card slip, he said he told the manager. The manager didn’t bother talking to us about our complaint. Talk about leaving a bad taste in our mouths at the conclusion of our meal. I have included a picture of the kids’ menu for reference.

Super yummy! Finally we found a go to Mexican place in WA! We’ve tried many and this one wins! Not only is the food delicious but the service is great and the restaurant was super clean. We ordered queso dip with jalepenos, it was perfect and done just as it should. For entrees we each got a combo with enchiladas and tacos. The chicken was moist and tasty and the shredded beef won the award for best flavor! We will be repeat visitors! See you there soon.

I checked reviews before trying this place. I saw people recommended the carne asada. I can see why!!! It was so delicious, fresh, so yummy. Big portions. Waiter and staff were friendly too. New favorite!

Left our car across the street for service, they told us it would be an hour and the last thing I want to do is sit in a tire shop. It was just after 5:00 when we walked into Santa Fe. There were a couple of employees standing at the host stand and maybe 2 other tables with customers. We were seated, the salsa and chips show up almost immediately, the hostess brought our adult beverages and then we waited. And waited. The hostess comes back and tells us they’re just waiting for the waitress to show up and then we can order. Really? She realized, I think, how silly that sounded and asked if she could take our order. So yes, that’s a good idea. Some Mexican restaurants just don’t get vegetarian food, although they offer it. Veggie options are often flavorless and sad, and that was my experience at Santa Fe. Hubby, however, loved his assortment of tacos. So not a bad experience, not great. No reason to go back because the veggie options were just not flavorful. Not their fault, Mexican food can be meat-centric for sure.

Oh my goodness, the portions here are big and filling! If you’re in a hungry mood and are craving for some Mexican food, stop by this place, especially lunch time for the special. Most of the food are around $ 10+(with the exception of drinks, appetizers and such) but for lunch specials, it’s roughly $ 8.50 -$ 12 depending on what you order. For the lunch special, you’ll automatically get a side of beans and rice :) What I ordered was a steak fajita and it was so tasty. The steak fajita came out on a sizzling platter, accompanied by fresh and warm tortillas, plus a plate of guacamole, sour cream, beans, some pico, and rice. Overall, the dish was tasty. I really like the beans for its flavor. As for other items ordered, tried the vegetarian enchiladas(which was average but huge) and for desserts: fried ice cream and flan. The flan was a nice firm texture and buttery. As for the ice cream, it was big enough to share with another person. You really can’t go wrong with this place for the quantity of food. Service was so so but really, the food is all that matters.

I initially rated 3 stars, but after returning often and trying more menu items, I have decided this is really good food, with generous portions and nicely priced. We always receive friendly, efficient service too. The beer is cold, margaritas are strong and icy. Try the Mexican Guacamole! We order this without chips and just eat it like a salad. It’s loaded with big chunks of avocado and blended with a spicy, delicious pico de gallo, onions, garlic & jalapeños. I also love the tacos rancheros because the tortillas are rolled up, stuffed with meat and deep fried! Remember when mom would make tacos and FRY the tortillas? So good! It comes with a generous amount of sour cream and creamy guacamole, too. Beware of the red hot sauce — it’ll clean your pipes from stern to bow. But it’s deliciously smoky and spicy, so it’s a sacrifice worth making!

This wasn’t bad, but not good either. Mediocre, chain like. Will not go back. I ordered the Tacos Al pastor and my companion ordered a dish with seafood and steak. Neither of us were impressed. My tacos had nothing inside other than the pork, which was often hard to chew. He said his shrimp felt very bad quality and the tortillas felt store bought. The tamarind margarita was pretty good. Salsa was good, chips felt grocery store bought. I recommend this place for people who don’t mind«Americanized» Mexican. However, for those who’ve had real Mexican, this is not the place for you. You will be disappointed.

Good place to eat. Very chill vibe. Not crowded. If you come around lunch and get the lunch special, its around $ 10 for a plate of 2 enchiladas which was more than enough for me to eat. Unfortunately they charge extra for guacamole and sour cream but I found that I didn’t need it.

I’ve been here 3 times now and had consistently good food, service and alcoholic drinks. I do tend to go on weeknights, or weekends for lunch. So I’ve never had to wait for a table, food or anything. The employees are all friendly, fast, helpful and plentiful. We’ve had burritos, enchiladas(both chicken) and both super yummy. And both of us are picky and ask for some modification, with absolutely no problem. The chips are always warm and salsa always fresh. My only suggestion is if you get the frozen margaritas(as opposed to on the rocks), get the smaller size unless you don’t mind brain freeze or having your drink separate. I think next time we’ll both try something new, but I have no fear it’ll be good. :-)

First time here. Had dinner with my uncle yesterday. I ordered a super burrito and it was awesome! Tasted great and the servings are huge. I’m actually right at this moment eating that same burrito cuz I couldn’t finish it yesterday and let me tell you it still tastes great even if it’s a day old and been sitting in the fridge haha! It’s a little bit pricier($ 10 for the burrito) and there are definitely cheaper places around but the serving size and the nicer ambiance makes up for it.

Good traditional Mexican food right down the road! Santa Fe has a pretty extensive menu, with the standard taco/burrito type stuff as well as some other tasty options, like mole chicken. Plus you get tons of chips and salsa when you sit down! We ordered the chimichanga and chipotle chicken, and both were pretty good. The sauce the chicken was in was really creamy and delicious, and I think the dish could have come with a few more tortillas, but that’s mostly for mopping up the sauce on your plate afterwards. The chimichanga was a decent(read: not insane) portion size, but still enough to be filling, and it was packed with meat. I would have liked for it to be a bit crispier but it was still quite good. Service was a little slow when we were there(on a weeknight) and it took us a while for someone to come and take our order. However, once we were served our server really went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, checked on us regularly and made sure our glasses were always full. It’s relatively pricey for Mexican, but the food is tasty and the portion sizes are decent so you’ll probably have leftovers. We’ll probably be back to go through the menu! Parking is available in the little lot outside.
