Shnoo Yogurt

Ever since I experienced Full Tilt in Ballard, I have been dying to get some vegan ice cream here since they opened but I have yet to actually see the business open. Even within their posted hours, they are closed. For many weeks now I will head down feeling hopeful and nothing. I don’t get it? I have to say, I am giving up on ever seeing this place open. My only recommendation is if you put your hours on the window, follow them so your loyal customers can come enjoy your product.

It saddens me to drop a star off from Shnoo’s previous rating in this update, but after several disappointing visits, I figured it should be done.
Don’t worry, they still carry Full Tilt ice cream (and not yogurt)! Orange chip is still a favorite, but brownie mint and chili mango are also worth trying. They still have 4+ vegan flavors every time I go in there, and everything is still tasty. They still take credit cards, most days (when the machine is working), and there’s still quirky kindergarten art on the wall.
However, the inconsistency of the service is troubling; a «small» can be anything from two (reasonably generous) scoops to less than one scoop, depending on who the server is. Over summer, it was wonderful and consistent, and I really loved getting to mix flavors. However, it looks like things have changed. We went in there the other day, and I asked for a small with two flavors, and was told that you can only get one scoop in a small, when I’ve never had that problem before. Another time I went in there and asked for a small scoop, and what I got literally was a flattened blob on my cone which wasn’t even a scoop at all. I was charged the same amount every time, even though the amount of ice cream I got varied drastically.
Additionally, there aren’t any hours posted online for Shnoo at all. All the website says is that you can call the store to see if they’re open, but every time I call, nobody answers, even if it turns out that they’re open. Eventually I took a photo of the hours listed on the door, but that was (of course) after we’d walked there to find that it was closed. Plus, even their advertised times are not totally reliable; we went there once on a Friday at about 8pm and they were closed.
I do love having Full Tilt available on the Eastside so I’ll just have to suck it up, but it’s really disappointing to see that my experience there is now pretty much a crap shoot.

It’s great to have an ice creamery in the area, but the last few times ive been here there has been something off with the icream. Once, it never froze hard enough, we were told our choices never fully freeze because of certain ingredient combinations, which at the time made sense. This time, however, it was firm but the ice cream had a freezer burn kind of flavor with small bits of ice crystals that added an unexpected crunch. I like full tilt flavors but I think tjis location needs to look at thier holding equipment.

Really eclectic flavor selection — there are a couple safety picks available, for what it’s worth. Execution on the odder flavors is a little uneven but there’s nothing that stood out as awful or not having been worth trying.
Great service, but the hours are a little unpredictable — I wouldn’t rely on it being open after dinner as a dessert option.

This shouldn’t even be called Shnoo Yogurt anymore because they don’t even have froyo! This is Full Tilt Ice Cream, ONLY, but I’m not complaining. They use local ingredients, have thai tea ice cream (which I love), the workers are friendly, and it’s reasonably priced. I think it’s $ 3.50ish for a small/​single scoop, and you can get it on a cup or a cone for the same price. The only negative I can think of is the shop is pretty tiny, with only a few table and chairs, so it’s more of a grab and go place. I suggest walking across the street to Juanita Beach to enjoy your ice cream there!
I’ll be back again for some more thai tea (and maybe ube!) ice cream before summer’s over :)

Salted caramel full tilt ice cream keeps me coming back. But sadly, it’s not always stocked, and the store hours are a little unpredictable. Beware, they close early when it’s cold out, despite the hours listed on the door. The scoops are generous though, so I’m not complaining.

They are vegan friendly and have a great selection too! So far I’ve tried the Mexican chocolate and mint chip flavors. Delicious!!!

What a great stop for ice cream. They have a huge selection of Full Tilt ice creams, and no longer sell yogurt. I recently tried Oatmeal and a Coffee/​Oreo. Yummy. The sorbets are the best I ever had. They may have had some bumps with new employees during the slow season, but every time I’ve been in the shop it’s always clean, the employees fun and helpful in picking out a flavor.

Horrible. We went to try the Full Tilt. Opened a bit late, only one person working. She was serving ice cream and working the register, without washing her hands. Isn’t this a health violation? Very expensive for what you get. My son ordered chocolate, but was given Mexican chocolate. Too much cinnamon. Never again. I’d drive into Seattle for Molly Moons instead.

Interesting flavors. Horrible service! Couldn’t answer questions about the ice cream, couldn’t run cash register.

This was our 2^nd attempt to try this place. First time we went in they had just opened and all they had was chocolate and vanilla. Not a good way to start. Months later we decided to try the one more time. It was pouring we ran three blocks got to the door and opened it (it was no locked) and Madison rolled her eyes pointed her finger and hollered we are CLOSED. Oh you are closed? YES. We will never try to have yogurt here again. Other choices in the village no need to waste my time. I suggest you act like you are a real store and not a hobby.

We are by no means aficionados or obsessives in this family about much of anything, let alone frozen yogurt.
There was a bit of buzz when this place opened in Juanita Village, after a brief time away when their previous location closed. I kind of see why they closed.
Horrible service. The employee manning the store was too busy flirting it up with the lone male customer in there to be half bothered with even acknowledging anyone else.
They allow taste tests, and thank god they do. Every single yogurt flavor was absolutely vile. Each one had an overpowering sourness that cannot possibly be normal. There’s tangy, and then there’s vinegar. Yogurt shouldn’t taste like vinegar. The mint tasted like straight toothpaste, the chocolate had a grainy, powdered texture, and it didn’t really improve with others we tried.
There were fruit flies massing all over the toppings area, and the «fresh» mango was clearly pre-​frozen and smelled as though it has soured some time ago.
Not at all impressed with anything, and the poor service and bad flavors make their already above average prices seem exorbitant beyond belief.
There only saving grace is the products they actually don’t make/​control. The Full tilt ice cream they carry.
It would be my recommendation to Full Tilt to pull their products from Shnoo and instead partner with a coffee shop or other of the many businesses here in Juanita Village or perhaps a different yogurt place in downtown Kirkland. This place is bad enough to spoil your name for new customers to your ice cream, FT!

Terrible!!! Back to Menchie’s FOR GOOD!!! Shnoo is more expensive by the ounce. Half the machines were not even pumping anything out. Chocolate tasted like plain yogurt. …VERY SOUR No flavors that really jumped out to me as different and fun. All the yogurt had TERRIBLE icee texture… was VERY DISAPPOINTED. Used a Pirq… but still won’t ever come back. Toppings were ok… all the «fresh» fruit was frozen. I think it’s a new place so such a bummer for the owners to have this as a review… Oh well… they have at least been open since May (see Cliff D.‘s review) which apparently he said was good… hmmmm… hopefully it was and the day I went (Sunday afternoon) was just a fluke that my experience was so terrible.

I loved Shnoo when they first opened in downtown kirkland and was bummed that they went out of business. Now that they are back in Juanita Village I was super excited. I love that they have the self serve style now and they have about 10 flavors available.
They had a decent selection of toppings as well. Since I just came from yoga I wanted a healthy little treat.
Definitely will be coming back here. Pricing seems about average $ 4 – 5 a bowl for myself.

Went here for the first time yesterday, and it was great! Not only do they have frozen yogurt with all the toppings, but they also have Full Tilt ice cream. I’m so glad there’s finally a true ice cream shop in Juanita. My wife and I will be coming back, for sure!
