We finally decided to try this place out after driving past it for years and years. It was OK. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cheery and clean. Our drinks and food came out correctly and in a timely fashion. Our water glasses were nicely refilled. Chips were fresh and crispy. The salsa was tasty and zesty and smooth, rather than chunky(I prefer chunky). Our Margaritas were a split-decision. Her ‘Cadillac’ was not as smooth as expected and heavy on the mix. On the other hand, my ‘12th Man’ was bright and tasty and probably hand-made, though overly iced and expensive. I ordered the #1 combo with chicken enchilada and shredded beef taco to set a benchmark. The taco was fresh and crunchy with tasty beef and fresh veggies. The meat could have been a bit more tender. The enchilada was a bit bland and dry, but serviceable. The beans and Cole slaw(that’s different) were tasty, though the beans were on the runny side. The rice was forgettable. She ordered two enchiladas. The chicken was like mine. The ground beef was unremarkable. We already have a couple of favorite places to go for Mexican food and we’ll probably stick with them. Tres Hermanos would not be a bad choice, if you live in the vicinity and didn’t know any better.

I am obsesssssed with Tres Hermanos. The food is always good. Their fried ice cream is unlike anything you will ever try in your life. Most Mexican restaurants just coat the ball of ice cream in giant corn flakes and fry it… not this place. They have a fine, magical mixture of sweet crunch coating that engulfs the French vanilla ice cream. Then they drizzle it with honey and chocolate syrup. The ball of ice cream is huge and you will probably feel sick after eating all the chips, salsa and meal; so my advice to you: do not split it. You will want your own and your life will be forever changed. Plus they are speedy fast and very kid friendly!!! Great service. Everyone’s so nice.

Great enchiladas! Why would you have Coleslaw as a side? I’m baffled! Almost killed the experience. Please no more Coleslaw with enchiladas.

No wait to be seated. Hot chips and salsa. Albondigas: 3 meatballs, carrots, potato and zucchini chunks. Add freshly chopped onions and cilantro. They are served with tortillas. OK. Service is just great. Will be back!

I’m sorry, but this is some of the very worst food I’ve ever had. I was so hopeful when we got really hot chips. Everything went so far downhill from there. This was not only bad, but it was almost edible. My daughter & I raced to the car & then prayed we’d get inside quick enough to be sick somewhere either in the bathroom or in the sink. I’m not even sure how to describe how awful this food was. I’m not even sure what you have to do to food to make it this awful. It’s probably best we don’t know. Oh good, bathroom is open & I literally have to run.

I’ve been coming here for about 6 years, and it continues to be my favorite family style Mexican restaurant on the East Side. Service is always friendly and almost always very quick even during busy hours. Chips and salsa are the best anywhere. If you love flavorful, spicy but not chunky salsa, this place will deliver. Carne Asada is perfect, thin and slightly charred which I consider just right, has a lot of flavor. Fajitas are well cooked and the onions are nicely caramelized. My favorite is the camarones a la diabla, spicy and very tasty. Great chicken mole too.

I love this place. The service is always quick and friendly. In typical Mexican restaurant fashion the ambiance leaves a little to be desired. Even though they did a update on the interior it’s loud from all the families and typically packed on weekend nights. But that doesn’t slow down the staff. You’ll never have an empty water glass and always replenishing the chip and salsa if you need more. Also, if you wait til later(which they are open til 10PM or 11PM) it’s a lot quieter and pretty cleared out. I’ve found if you order off the combination plates it’s run of the mill Mexican food. But after trying out a few things I found the Camarones a la Diabla and now that’s all I will eat here. If you like shrimp and mushroom you can’t go wrong with this dish. Simple but rich and they will make it spicy with just the right amount of heat. Their pico de gallo is also really good. Is it going to be the best or most authentic Mexican food you’ll ever eat? No but it’s consistently good(if you get the Camarones a la Diabla it’s pretty damn tasty), quick, inexpensive and great service.

Location: eight out of 10 Food: 10 out of 10 Drinks: 10 out of 10 Service: 10 out of 10 This restaurant is exceptional when dining in or getting takeout! I have gone here for a while now, and I haven’t had anything to complain about when ordering food. The service is always great; all the staff members are friendly and always wanting to help you, your water glass stays filled, I love that. There’s an energizing atmosphere at the restaurant and you’ll feel welcome.

They food and the service is amazing! We have never been disappointed here. I have never had anything here on the menu I didn’t like. The chips and salsa are among the best I’ve ever had, and I lived in New Mexico for several years. The service is always fantastic, and I don’t think we’ve ever run out of water or chips and salsa while we were here. Everything on the menu is good, and the prices are great as well. Eat here! It’s amazing!

Can’t believe I’ve never written a review for Tres Hermanos. We’ve been coming here regularly(2 – 3 time a month at least) for about 20 yrs. The service is always exceptional. It doesn’t matter if they are busy & often they have every table filled, you always get great service. Miguel… our favorite waiter … always knows what I’m drinking & what I’m eating. Don’t get me wrong, my favorite has changed over the years, but he seems to be able to keep up with my current fave! The food is delicious. Yummy burritos, arroz con pollo, enchiladas, tamales & my current fave-carne asada. They are not heavy handed with either spices or sauces. Food always arrives quickly & hot. While you’re waiting, you can nibble away on a basket or 2 of warm chip & salsa & pico. Another special treat is when mama comes in to help out. She is funny & charming. It’s called Tres Hermanos FAMILY Mexican Restaurant… and after a few visits you too will feel like family. Maybe I’ll see you there, I’ll be the gal drinking chill Cazadores with orange slices & cinnamon.

Wow, the service here is awesome!!! My water, chips and salsa were never empty. Always a refill right away. I had the stake fajitas and wow. DELICIOUS! My food came out sizzling hot and was really good and a large portion. My fiancé and I decided to take a chance on this place and I am really glad that we did. You should too.

My girlfriend and I were looking for Mexican after being at Costco down the road and found ourselves at the three brothers. We visited around 8:30 on a Monday night, were promptly greeted, and seated. The host put us in a booth right by the front window; smart host! The staff was on TOP of the water, chips, and salsa! They even dropped off a pitcher of water for us! The drink order was taken promptly and delivered just as quickly. It was obvious they were slow, traditionally not a busy time for restaurants, because the server was VERY observant but not looming about. Once I folded up my menu, he was there to take the order about 30 seconds later! When our meal arrived about six minutes later, no joke, the meats were switched but THISDIDNOTCREATE A NEGATIVEEXPERIENCE. I cannot make that clear enough. I was fully prepared to wait 10 – 15 minutes for a well prepared meal and the kitchen beat the clock on that one! The order was promptly made and the server was very apologetic. We let him know that it was NOT a big deal; which he was receptive to. The meal itself was nothing to jump and shout about but not something that was inedible. The picadillo was quite flavorful but pretty wet in its own juices. The chicken was fresh but pretty bland, even in an enchilada. Overall the staff was VERY friendly but the food was lackluster. Not saying I wouldn’t go back if I was in the neighborhood, but I won’t go out of my way to get there.

I’m still searching for delicious Mexican food in the Kirkland area. I place this restaurant on par with Mezcal in Juanita Village. I might go again with a group, but I’d also do my best to convince that group of a different venue. The ambiance was your typical Mexican restaurant ambiance; Mexican décor, booths against the walls, tables in the middle, Mexican music playing, lots of families dining and kids dropping food on the floors. The chips and salsa were decent, but of the dark red and blended variety(I tend to like my salsa chunkier and fresh, like a pico de gallo). The flour tortillas were the best thing I had all night, by far; soft, fresh, delicious, and warm. Quite tasty! The rest of the meal was kind of like when you go to a friend’s house who doesn’t really know how to cook… they make you a meal they’re proud to serve you, but it’s really not that great, so you make a mental note not to accept home made meals from that person again. Yah, kind of like that. I had the trios fajitas, consisting of chicken, beef and shrimp. The shrimp actually tasted decent, but they were not properly cleaned. I am not a fan of looking at and removing a full poop chute attached to something I’m about to ingest. Nope. The chicken and beef were heinously over-cooked to an almost criminal extent, leaving the bits of meat crumbly and virtually unidentifiable. The veggies were drowning in a grease bath on the plate. The rice was so dry, it wouldn’t stay on my fork without mixing it in the refried beans. Ho-humm. I didn’t drink, but my friend’s mango margarita looked seductively delicious. I probably should’ve had one. Promptness of service was fantastic, but accuracy of order-taking and delivery was an epic fail. Our server got half of the orders wrong at our table and kept bringing out the wrong drinks. Nice guy, but a memory like a sieve. Probably not the best attribute for a waiter who doesn’t carry a notepad and pen. Just sayin’

Oh wow, we have a winner of a restaurant here. There are few things in the world I love more than great-tasting food close to my house, and Tres Hermanos manages to provide just that. This place is definitely recommended and worth visiting more than once. I ordered the carne asada($ 10.50) for lunch and got the standard chips and salsa to my table first. The plate contained rice, beans, guacamole, and steak. There was a green onion over the whole thing and a knife on the side of the plate to cut the steak, as well as a separate platter of tortillas for the carne asada. Yum, this whole thing was spectacular and I need to try it again.
