These 2 owners are great to work with as long as you have done you homework and can show an honest representation of value before you purchase. I have been doing business with them for years and can always depend on them to do exactly what they say they will do. They have a lot of great /unusual merchandise from antiques to coins to vintage comics/art work, musical instruments etc and a great bar with excellent food and Live music. Do some homework before you bring something in to sell and they will absolutely cut you a fair deal.

Since my last review, I’ve stopped trying to make it out here explicitly for the pawn shop, but sometimes when I’m in the area part of me wonders if they’ve improved at all, so I foolishly tried to come back and check it out a few times. Well I honestly can’t even tell if they’re still in business. I mean, I guess it must be, there’s stuff inside, but they never seem to be open. Outside the shop they have a sign joking about how their hours are whenever they want them to be. Well that’s good! Real funny. You know, I have my own funny sign, and it says«Yuppie Pawn Shop is a joke.» Ha ha ha. That’s the sound of me laughing as I take my money somewhere else!

This pawn shop is a bar. It seems the pawn shop is an after thought. They’ve really increased the price of movies, at other pawn shops I can get them for $ 1.99, at goodwill I can get them for $ 2.99, I see no reason to spend more than $ 5 on a used movie. Every time we do decide to drop by they aren’t open. I think they come in just when ever they feel like it and close up shop when ever they feel like it. We were in the area yesterday and just decided to not even drive over there.

Went in and almost purchased a bass guitar from Yuppie Pawn Shop. Visited on recommendation from a friend, and the staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will gladly visit again and hope to purchase an instrument in the future.

I went in there and bought an echo chainsaw and the price was very reasonable. It was in great condition and got it for $ 165! Brian was so helpful and friendly. He was very patient explaining how the chainsaw works. I will definitely come back again! Happy customer.

Stopped in Yuppie Pawn one day when I was visiting the attached tavern. The people working there were very nice and helpful. There are lots of different items in there, and I feel they do a good job at providing as much information as possible on each thing. You have to understand it is hard to be an «expert» on everything when you carry basically everything on the planet! As far as pricing goes, I bought a necklace and was very happy with the price that we agreed on. I’d certainly go back. Not bad for my first pawn shop experience!

Pawn Shops are great places for shopping for electronics and other items. Yuppie Pawn is no exception. I came in here looking for a Guitar Amp for a Christmas gift. The day I walked in they just happened to be selling almost everything at 50% off. Score! I found what I was looking for, and almost bought it. At the moment of digging money out of my wallet, I got an email from my daughter telling me they they already bought one for her 11 year old who had won a guitar at a tattoo festival. Yeah, you heard me right! She was there with her mom & mom’s BF. A band was playing and had an electric guitar they were giving away for the person with the best reason. I guess a 11 year old saying«Because I want it» was the best reason.

I haven’t done more than peruse the pawn shop, and don’t have a lot to say about it other than the prices seemed a tad higher than I expected. But the attached bar is awesome, it’s the new favorite watering hole for my fiancé and I. The bartenders are always really friendly and often quick to offer samples of brews.

I have never borrowed money before, but I was in a bind and my friends referred me here. I went to this pawn shop and the workers were very very helpful, knowledgeable and they took all the time to explain how the loan worked to me. I was nervous, but they assured me my items were in good hands. About two months later, I went to pick my stuff up and it was exactly how I had left it. I paid the loan back and got my items back. They were very helpful and courteous. Not sure what happened with the previous reviewer, but I had absolutely no problems and would definitely go back. As far as buying goes, I found that they were willing to work with me on all the prices, therefore making me happy, as well as them. Highly recommended and trustworthy.

This may be an OK store to shop(if you don’t mind paying new prices for used goods) but don’t pawn anything there as you might not get it back. A friend took me there since I didn’t believe her that Yuppie Pawn wouldn’t give her stuff back. The worker was very unprofessional. The man wouldn’t let my friend pay off the loan. I asked the guy why, he said he didn’t want to. I said you two have a contract, the worker started stamping his feet and calling me names. It was really bizarre. The guy must be off his meds or he had already sold the item. My friend will try to get her stuff when someone else is working. Hopefully someone there knows how to stick to a contract.
