Delicious pizza, great traditional crust and bacon cheeseburger ronza. Consider selling by the piece.

To be honest I had higher hopes for this place. The pizza was greasy, the olives and mushrooms we’re quite obviously from a can and you could taste the juice in the pizza itself. When I asked for Bacon on my pizza they piled it all in the middle and nowhere else. The Grilled chicken salad, which the chicken should’be been the highlight of the dish, was more of an adornment for a hardly shredded head of lettuce. Needless to say I will not be coming back after this huge disappointment.

Nice casual ambience. You can order in, order out, and order delivery. Great place for pizza, sandwiches and palonzas! Palonzas are stuffed pizzas, basically. They say, «It’s a sandwich, but it’s not!» If you like pizza crust in every bite then palonzas are your answer. If you’re not feeling too hungry, you can even order by the slice. Pizzas and palonzas aren’t the only things that are great here, you’ve got to try the cheesy garlic bread. Be sure to order the 4 piece because you’ll wish you did if you order anything smaller. Lol. Service is great and people are too.

Good pizza in kirksville! For the area, it’s a great option for lunch, dinner, or a late night snack. The Hawaiian ronza was my favorite, and I find myself missing the mysterious things that are ronzas now that I live elsewhere. Cheap and tasty. Certainly not the best meal or best dining experience, but it’s great for what it is.

I have been a frequent customer of Pagliai’s since I was still in high school which was many years ago. However ordering my favorite sandwich there tonight, The George, it is obvious that the food and the service have slipped from what ot used to be. The last several times I have eaten here there have been issues and this time was no different. My sandwich came to the table stone cold. I ask the waitress if they could heat it up or put it back in the oven. The waitress was very nice, however, we then heard the cook at the counter make a very rude remark about the returned sandwich. The result was a microwaved sandwich that was far less than average. So. Nice waitress but average service and the food is nothing like it used to be. I will not be back anytime soon.

I tried the Polanza this time, and it was better than their pizza, but it was filled with saturated fats and preservatives that it did not taste fresh, or even was fresh because you can see they pre made all their polanzas in a small refrigerator. The service was unprofessional and not polite. Still not impressed.

I love this place! I only wish we lived closer to Kirksville… I love the 3-cheese Ronza(now know as a Polanza for some reason). Excellent!

I live out of state and always make it a point to stop in for a ronza! The Hawaiian ronza is my absolute favorite!!! Service can be hit or miss, but my taste buds won’t let that stop them from a visit to Pagliai’s. Yum!

I use to go To Northeast Missouri State back in 1984, It is now called Truman State. I remember the Ronza as the best treat in Kirksville. Well they had to change the name to Polanza. But it was still the great treat it was back in 1984. The place is small and can not hold a crowd, do groups would be better to order delivery or take out.

Not exactly sure why there is so much hype with this place, the food is mediocre at best. The pizza crust is super chewy and tastes like cardboard. The only time I eat the food from here is when it is free.

I tried the cheese pizza and the veggie pizza. There wasn’t much flavor to the sauce, the dough was too chewy for my taste, and I cannot emphasize how greasy it was. Like a previous reviewer said, the pizza lacks any good seasoning or interesting flavor. I haven’t tried the Ronza, but I was not impressed with what I had. I don’t think I will be back.

I have been eating Ronzas since 1988… and I still stop by for my Ronza-fix whenever I am in Kirksville. Though my palate has changed over the years(no more fast food and microwave meals for me) my desire to have a Ronza has not. I had a meatball Ronza and it was delicious. The sauce was not salty and the meatballs did not taste like filler-food. The crust was very light. The staff was real friendly too. Though I noticed this place had some negative reviews, Pagliai’s has loyal followers… all of my friends who attended Truman State University. Never tried the pizza though… don’t think I ever will.

I really wanted to like this place. I was hoping to have a fun pizza place to go while attending Truman State University. Unfortunately this place did not live up to any of my hopes. The food is pretty mediocre overall, lacking any seasoning or interesting flavor. However I could live with the bland food if this establishment was not so incredibly disgusting. I had a friend who worked there and had nothing but horror stories to tell about rats running around on the counters and floor and other levels of extreme uncleanliness. I also had another friend who liked Pagliai’s until she got food poisoning from one of their ronzas. This is probably a decent place by Kirksville standards, but I was completely unimpressed with them. I also have to echo Joyce’s comments about their unsafe drivers who have nearly hit me both while driving and biking.

After a clean decade of on and off again college attendance in Kirksville, I became very familiar with the local eating establishments. This is one of the ones I miss the most. They just don’t make Ronzas anywhere else(though Trader Joe’s sausage calzone came close … before it disappeared forever). In the interest of full disclosure, know that I’ve only eaten their pizza a handful of times. In my opinion, that’s not the reason to go to Pagliai’s — it’s the Ronza. That’s right a capital R because it deserves it. There’s a reason Truman alumni chapters sponsor Ronza nights where they have Ronzas shipped in frozen and cook them for the event. Yeah, that’s right, you can have them shipped start dialing now … I’ll wait … Actually I won’t because ordering a Ronza shipped is something of a herculean task given that most employees seem to not be aware that their restaurant does this or that they should have some knowledge of the process. If you get the chance you should stop in and try one. My wife loves the 3-Cheese, but I’ve gotta go with the Supreme Ronza, hold the pepperoni. Oh, and make sure you eat the pickle and chips that come with — they make the meal.

Pizza? Hardly. Bad service, even worse pizza. The ronza’s are ok, but it’s nothing to write home about. They leave their delivery trucks taxied which is lame. They also drive fairly recklessly and I’ve nearly been hit twice by drivers who roll through stop signs.

Ok, for Kirksville… this pizza is probably the best in town. However, if you are looking for GREAT pizza… leave Kirksville and seek elsewhere. For the most part, this pizza is fresh and the crust is crispy. I can’t say this is New York Style Pizza, however, the slices are too small and the crust is too crispy… trust me, NYC pizza is far far superior. The prices are cheap, but so is everything in Kirksville, so that’s hardly any real benefit. They do actually put extra olives(or whatever extra you want) on the pizza when you get it, so that’s nice. The veggies were fresh, but altogether, it’s just an alright pizza to me. It’s not anything bad, but nothing memorable or special.

Great new york style pizza and the only place to get that in town. They have a great carry out deal all the time: 2 large 1 topping, around 12⁄14 bucks. Grilled chicken pizza is has high quality, flavorful white meat chicken. My boyfriend is in love with their mushroom pizza. I’ve eaten their baby ronzas since I was a kid. They’re a buck on Friday nights and yummy. They have a wide range of hot and cold sandwiches and daily specials. They’re truly a Kirksville townie and college kid favorite.
