It is the weirdest layout for an outlet I have ever been to, with multiple buildings that are not connected and a river and main road that separates all the buildings. You need a car to go from one section to another and each section houses no more than 10 shops. It was a hassle going in and out, but outlet options are not plentiful in that area so you just have to work with it. Silverlining is the Bob’s clams in the middle, Mcdonalds and restaurant options that you can get food and snacks at while shopping.

While there are some good stores, the fact that you have to drive from store to store is very annoying. This also does help from going in stores that you wouldn’t normally go to and purchasing more things that you probably don’t need, but that’s the fun in shopping! If you know which stores you want to hit, then this is great, but if you’re looking to «shop,» you might just want to skip this.

The stores this outlet center has available are great. I really like the variety on the list. However you have to drive from strip mall to strip mall, it’s all very disconnected. So it’s fine, but not the ideal outlet experience. On the other hand if you want to go to just one specific store it’s probably perfect.

This is by far the worst ‘outlet mall’ I’ve ever been to! The stores run up and down a major street on both sides and are in no way organized! There was NO planning of either design and layout! You’ll not be able to just park and walk because everything is so spread out. This place is a NO!

This is the best kept secret for outlet shoppers going to Kittery. It’s so easy, too. What you do is you pop in here and become a member then you save more money. How simple is that? You can get a one time coupon book if you are a AAA member, an AARP member or have a college ID. I signed up years ago for the full membership and paid $ 10 then. They gave me a free bag for joining. It’s a lifetime membership so no renewal no additional fees after the initial payment. Then EVERYTIME you go to Kittery, you stop at the Tanger office and pick up your coupon book. You can go every stinkin day and get a new book, there’s no limit! They even email you specials for your birthday. I got a $ 10 gift card last year to spend in any Tanger outlet store(see caveat below). They also give you cheesy little gifts if you visit around Christmas. The best deals are 20% off one item at Tanger outlet stores. One caveat, not ALL the stores in Kittery are Tanger stores. But then again, not all the stores are even OUTLETS. You gotta check it out. The non-Tanger stores do put coupons in the book, though, so it’s win-win. Also, since we dine at Weathervane every time and the savings is currently 10%, it’s worth grabbing the coupon book just for lunch. I am sure I’ve saved my $ 10 many times over.
