Decided to try this therapy center because it is three blocks from my office. Convenience is often key when a medical appointment is 2 – 3 times per week and my schedule is ridiculously chaotic. I will start off with the most notable point. Front desk staff. I’m not sure it is ever best to engage with a NEW patient by not saying hello or welcoming them in any form but instead asking for an insurance card and handing paperwork through a window. I brushed that off. Thought, meh, I’m first on the docket for the day, they haven’t had enough coffee, and breakfast was a stale bagel but then a guy walked in about 5 minutes after me and he got a Hello, how are you? and some light chit chat. So did the couple that came in after him. Also, calling out to the therapist that their next appointment is here, over a loud speaker, had me thinking, for a moment, that I was in a fast food restaurant or a baseball game. Nope, I was in a doctor’s office. My therapist was Whitney. She rocked! Friendly and kind and knowledgeable and patient not to mention respectful. I walked into my physical therapy appointment, for my foot, with a skirt on. Yes, I did. I did not wear my «yoga pants» on this date but should have. Whitney made sure I kept my dignity intact! She really is a great therapist. One I would recommend requesting. However, when you go, bring the front desk some Krispy Kreme’s and a bouquet of flowers… they need some cheering up!
