I love hole-in-the-wall restaurants and this ine did not disappoint. The food did lack something, some flavor I can’t put my taste bud on it but overall a great experience. The best part is the portion size, they know how to satisfy their customers with tons of food. With adding extra meat for $ 1.00 for teriyaki chicken and $ 2.00 for orange chicken, it is absolutely worth the dollar or two. They make all of your food on the spot and it definitely taste fresh. It wasn’t too oily or greasy but just a little too sugary on the orange chicken sause. A pleasant meal and experience, its the hole-in-the-wall establishment that should be visited more frequently by all.

The food quality was really good for the prices we paid. Large quantity, freshly made and fresh ingredients. This is locally owned small place and home made food. Small setup(4 – 5) tables. It was recommended by friend and liked the place for food. I Found it was mostly a take out place. No servers, one person to take order and he brings the food to table. I did not give 5 start because we were eating there and they served us in to-go boxes and table next to us had chinaware. Why the discrimination? They also need to provide proper silverware and not the plastic spoons. At Least buy better quality plastic ware(I found spoons/fork were bending while eating(even sams club one were of better quality)).

Warm service and good food. Highly recommend you tried the black bean pork and hot spicy soup. fresh ingredience are geranteed. The only problem is you have to wait for a little bit long and some dishes are always out of stock.

There is a heavy smell of acrylic nails when you walk in this place; a salon is located next door. I ordered my food to go. The bag felt very heavy for what I ordered so I thought I was getting a lot of food for my money, however when I opened the box, it was 75% rice saturated in something they are trying to pass off as Teriyaki sauce. I hated the flavor of the sauce, it is very sweet and artificial tasting. I could not detect any soy in the sauce. The shrimp and chicken were very dry. I only ate two bites before I tossed it in the garbage. $ 14 down the drain.

By Knoxville standards, this place is easily 5 Stars. And if past is prologue, it will go under soon. I’ve always said that in this town, «Dives Thrive and True Gems Fade Away». The two cooks(Mom and Pop?) know what they’re doing and appear to love what they’re doing. I’ve tried many of their Chinese offerings and am rarely disappointed. Most dinners to go are easily enough for 2 people. The soups are really good and the vegetables are generally fresh and crisp. Some chicken dishes use dark meat and some white meat. I prefer the former. The people are friendly and the one health dept. review I saw was in the high 90’s. The dumplings(Gyoza) are wonderful. All I can say is «C’mon South Knoxville, the place is a local treasure, the kitchen is clean, the prices are a deal, and the food is great and healthy!»

I really like this place for takeout. The have a special for $ 4.99 teriyaki chicken all day. I usually get that and add double meat for a dollar more. Delicious! It’s basically exactly like the Japanese place in the mall, but it’s a little cheaper. Just good takeout Japanese food. It’s run by a nice family. Help them to be successful, and score one for the American dream!
