Just had a great lunch here. Excellent charbroiled burger cooked perfectly, Tempura green beans instead of fries, and a strawberry limeade. Only a couple dollars more expensive than some cheap chain, but a much better quality meal.

it’s almost guaranteed to get a reheated stale beef patty when you go during non rush hr. and it takes way too long to even make that.

The best part about The Habit is the amount of choices. The lines take a while because of all those choices. You give customers options and they can take a while to decide. It isn’t really the fault of the employees. Food tasted pretty good. On the expensive side but most things in La Canada are.

Been here a couple times with friends. Can get pretty busy, the line can form and block the pathway to the restrooms. The staff were quick, competent and friendly. I like the buzzer system, saves them from yelling out your order. It buzzes pretty vigorously and when I left it on the table it startled me when it vibrated. Pretty well maintained. I like the outdoor seating area too.

Good efficient service, tasty char grilled burgers. I would change the to go ordering system which makes you pay in advance if you want to call in your order– it’s a hassle to go through if your just looking to avoid the line and order ahead.

What I love about the Habit is that they don’t just offer burgers, while the burgers at In N Out are better, the fries at the Habit I am obsessed with as well as the Ahi. The cobb salad is fantastic and my husband loves the tri tip, they are consistent in service and the food always fresh and good quality. Prices are fair, the food not overly heavy or greasy, solid lunch or dinner option in the area.

The menu at The Habit is extenstive to that of an In N’ Out’s menu that includes chicken sandwiches, tri tip, veggie, tuna, and pastrami as well as variations of burgers. Salads, fries and onion rings are also available. The Char burger which includes a charbroiled beef patty is a good alternative to the burgers to In N’ Out. The good thing is they have an assortment of condiments including A1 and tobasco which I like with my burger. Fries, however, were just okay. Served hot but wilty. I rarely get soft drinks or sugary drinks but since I ordered a combo with a drink, I tried the strawberry lemonade with cucumber slice. It’s refreshing, not too sweet, and the cucumber slices add a dimension to this drink. 5 stars for this beverage. With lots of schools in the area in this part of La Canada, The Habit, gets pretty packed with kids and families. There’s definitely a long line when school gets out and on weekends. Service here is quick and friendly. This location is good option for burgers in the area.

I love the habit. It’s delicious and the perfect place to go when you have a hunkering for burgers and fries. The only thing I don’t like(and happens quite often) is that the fries are always luke warm and never hot. I always end up asking for a fresh serving. They happily oblige but it gets tired after a while and quality and consistency are key. Aside from that, the service is excellent. No sooner than my husband and I finished our meal an employee came up to the table and asked to take our tray. These small considerate details go a long way. That and the quality in taste/freshness of ingredients will have us coming back again.

First, I love the Habit!!! But I’m so sad to give 1star for this location… It failed me twice in the same month! The last time the bun was so stale & dry… like it was toasted and sat out for hrs! 2nd time, the beef patty was truly burnt on one side which tasted really bad!!! Unfortunately, both times it was a take out and so I didn’t get to complain & replace my order:( Please check quality control for every order bcuz I would hate for this location to shut down:(

Don’t understand why I cannot order for carry out and pay cash. They force you to use a credit card. If you want to pay cash you have to go order in store and wait. Sometimes the wait is almost 30 mins. I don’t understand why they don’t like cash. Maybe they don’t like making money.

Sorry I usually don’t do this but I had the worst experience at the habit the other day. I went in a ordered a couple of things and I ordered myself a char burger with cheese and mushrooms.(I was trying something new) and when I got my food I didn’t get any mushrooms or cheese and my burger was cold. I was very sad and too embarrassed to tell the employees something myself so I sent my friend that I was with. She came back a while later and I couldn’t even finish the burger. My meat wasn’t cooked all the way it was still pink :(. I was very sad disgusted. I love the habit, but I will be checking all my food before I leave the habit.

Hidden in the Sports Chalet mall area is the Habit, which gets pretty crowded on the weekends. I like the design of this Habit, and feel it sized correctly for the area. Everything is super clean, and the employees are super nice. I am starting to learn the lingo of The Habit, ordering a Char Burger with everything. I’m not a fan of their little box pager, which seems to be a little too much for a fast food restaurant. I’ve been to a Mc’Donalds that does this, and it just seems over the edge for a fast food restaurant. I wonder how many of these things are get lost or stolen, as the technology costs more than the actual food item. Aside from the pagers, they make a pretty good burger. Can’t compare to In & Out however, which is a southern California institution.

I love this habit location so much. My food is always warm & comes out in time. The employees are so friendly & extremely nice as well. The store is kept really clean and sanitary which appeals to people a lot. I’ve noticed the way the managers talk to their employees as well is really amazing. There’s a new girl Alexandra & she was kind of messing up as she was taking my order; and getting confused on what to do… I could tell she was trying really hard to figure it our on her own But one of her managers stepped in & taught her what to do in a super nice way. I think it’s really important how managers treat their employees because that effects how the employees behave with customers. My food is always fresh here & I love it. Best habit :)

Habit burger is a stable but good hamburger joint. They have your standard burger, fries and chicken sandwiches and some salads. If you are a simple eater, I would say that this is your place to be. If you like simple this is a great place.

If you’re looking for a great burger at a great price, then the Habit Burger Grill is your spot. This Habit Burger Grill is located in the La Cañada Flintridge Town Center which has plenty of parking. This location also has plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard it shares with Sakura, Panera Bread and Blaze Pizza, so you and your friends can get different meals and eat together on the patio! I normally enjoy the single charburger with cheese, but if I’m hungry I’ll go with the double charburger!

First time checking it out, and it’s okay. What I got: Charburger with fries and ranch dip. I say that their burgers are okay, because it’s simple, which I do like. Nothing about it is overwhelming with a WOW-factor, it isn’t a specialized burger with a signature-something to it. There isn’t anything memorable about them. It’s just a simple burger slightly on the blander side with terrible ranch dressing :(It was diluted and flavorless. Had to wait on each dipped fry to let it finish its dripping. Ack. And lastly, the fries weren’t the best. The texture was ultra strange. never experienced anything like that before –_– They weren’t old and stale, but a bit spongy and dry. Phooey :(

3.5 stars Had lunch here for the first time — yay for exploring new burger joints! The inside of the restaurant was really clean and spacious. Service was good. Food ordered: (1) Charburger: Ingredients consisted of mayonnaise, pickle, fresh tomato, lettuce and caramelized onions on a toasted bun. Yum! I’m glad they had a generous amount of lettuce, needed my veggies and it made the burger taste healthy. Ingredients all tasted really fresh. (2) Mushroom Swiss Charburger: Ingredients consisted of sautéed mushrooms, melted swiss, mayonnaise, pickle, fresh tomato and lettuce on a toasted bun. Boyfriend ordered this, and he said it was good except he wished there were caramelized onions in it too. (3) Tempura Green Beans: I thought this was good but not great. For tempura I prefer shrimp, yam, eggplants. But it was cooked well and the tempura quality was perfectly crunchy. (4) Fries: SOGOOD! Definitely comparable to McDonald’s fries; these were just a tad thicker and more substantial tasting. I highly recommend! (5) Malt Mocha: I actually had to find out what exactly was the difference between malt & milkshake(see below). The mocha malt was a bit too sweet but the consistency was delicious — and it’s made with 100% real ice cream! ***Wiki Definition: A milkshake is made with milk and ice cream, along with flavorings such as chocolate syrup for chocolate, etc. A malt is basically the same thing, but with a sweet, liquid malt syrup added. The malt gives the shake a distinctive flavor, which is actually quite good, and can be added to any flavor milk shake. //OVERALL// Would definitely come back again and try their other burgers and malts. I think it’s a great alternative to In n out burgers. Very affordable, our meal came out to $ 19 only!
