The food is great and customer services as well but they charged us 20% gratitude on the card when we already gave them cash for tip. The Mexican lady will change the price if she is your server. be careful of her. I will be bring cash next time to pay

The place is hit and miss. If you are lucky, you will go on a night when one of the better cooks is prepping cuisine. If not, you might get something inedible. I have eaten there a few times. The fried whole fish and most noodle dishes are a safe bet. However, I have had awful Phở soup there. Some of the worst I have ever eaten. I would skip the sushi was well. Stay with the fried standards and you will be OK. I believe they have canceled the old prime rib and seafood buffet they used to host once a week. It wasn’t the best food but a lot of bang for your buck. An old Korean man I gambled with one night said that the chefs often got the best fish and mud bugs for the river near by. Not sure if thats true but it would help with the freshness. I won $ 3000 there last month in Pai Gow.

The restaurant and lounge in The Palace ROUTINELY has overcharged us on our debit transactions by 20%. We call and they always say, «Oh, it was a mistake we were having trouble with our machine» but when it happens more than once, it’s not a «mistake». I am getting really tired of this. If they are making room for a gratuity, they need to keep in mind that they are putting a hold on your money for several days, and that should be illegal. We always tip in cash. AWFUL.

Hey, when your Chinese you need to fuel your gambling DNA that’s is in most all Asian people. I needed to get my gambling juices going and Chips/Palace Casino does it for me. Only a 20 min drive north of Portland on I-5 exit 16 and turn right and just follow road to there and your ready for gamboling. They have some of the most basic games there. Spanish 21, Pai Gow, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Four Card Poker and Casino Wars. If you know how to play than this place is it, but if your looking for slot machines and Keno than this place is not a place to go to, this is more of a card room. Casino Wars is a game I refuse to play. It’s the lamest game in the history of gaming. It’s really war but when you and the dealer are tied than you have to pay extra money to go into«war» with the dealer. I say it’s not worth the money. Ultimate Texas Hold em is a fun game. You don’t have to bet against each other but rather your playing against the dealer only. Royal Flushes pay 500 – 1 and another 50 – 1. $ 15.00 play total played will get your at least $ 2500 if you add the math. But this game is not a game to play if your cheap. You can lose $ 100 quickly as much as you can win it as well. Pai Gow– Slow death game. You break even. The game is so confusing you need to play it yourself and ask a lot of questions to figure that stupid game out. So when your done blowing a few $ 100 after a few hours ask the pit boss if you can get comp for food. If he knows you been around for a while you can get comp, but if the pit boss is a jerk than they might make you wait another hour so you can blow another $ 100. The food in the Chips isn’t bad. But this is from a comp point of view. In your comp you get an appetizer, side and dinner to go with the bread that comes with your meal. The amount of food that you get is fit for a king. Your likely going to need to take it home if you can’t finish it. The food for a casino is really good in my opinion. Next door is a Palace Casino. I hardly play there because unlike Chips, it’s noisy. This is due to all the baccarat tables going on. The food there is focused mainly on Chinese. There you can get duck, soy sauce chicken, ginger crab and a bunch of other junk. Like it’s counter part the food is pretty damn good for a Casino. Weekends are packed with people. The casinos in this area allow 18 year old to come up and play. So I guess it’s «kid» friendly.

A part of a chain Palace and Chips casinos there is a pair located in La Center Wa and two more in Tacoma. This casino is really nice and the staff is ok. These casinos in their hey day used to be very busy and a great place to go but it is not nearly as busy as it once was. The food here actually is to me at least the main draw. The Chinese menu is very authentic and tasty! Try the Mongolian Beef it won’t disappoint you.

About 5 miles off I-5, you’ll find the Palace casino intermixed with three other establishments. This place is the only one that has a staff that seems even remotely interested in being friendly to you while you gamble. Food, drinks, gaming action, none of it even registers while you play. Nothing stands out at all, but I spare them from the one star rating because the dealer I played blackjack with was really friendly. It’s unfortunate that there isn’t a better gaming option anywhere even remotely close to La Center.
