Uptown Spa

I’ve been coming here for about three months for acrylic fills, manis and pedis. Overall I’m really happy with their work as well as the availability of appointments. Sang does my acrylics and manicures and Karen does my pedicures

I got my nails done with San today and she was excellent! San and Cathy are excellent with gel manicures! This place is clean and cozy. Staff is always so sweet. My nails always come out looking amazing and they last long. Other nails salons that I have gone to within a few days my nails are chipped again. Love this place! Staff is so friendly and they always do a great job at my nails. My gel manicure always ends up lasting longer than 2 weeks and doesn’t chip! This is my go to place! I would defiantly recommend this salon to customers.

I just moved to La Crescenta, and I needed to get my nail done because my work requires high grooming. I walked in without appointment on Sunday afternoon. I waited about 10min. I decided to get regular manicure which was I believe $ 12. This old lady did my nail which only took less than 5 min. She was nice but she did horrible job. I just wanted to tell her I can do it better LOL Sorry but she really suck. If you are looking for manicure that lasts long I do not recommend because mine was already going back next day. The place is clean but I never got the word THANK YOU either, she just left the room after she was done. It’s okay though, I don’t think I will ever come back anyways…

Well it was a rough start. i asked for a price menu. took them a minute to found one. i wanted to make sure everything matched up with the website.. Nope there was a difference.. At that point my feet were already in the water and it was to last to turn back. I told them that it was false advertising and to just charge me whatever. the ladies all talked about it. called the owner and realized the price was incorrect.. At this point i didnt know what i was going to pay. but the ladies who did my mani and pedi were so nice

They have renovated and everything looks great! The spa chairs are new as well and very comfortable. The prices have slightly increased, but its understandable due to the fairly clean and updated environment. (Mani+pedi=$ 29)
I recommend coming in during the early morning for services. The technicians today were very attentive and provided great customer service. The atmosphere was quite relaxing and was the perfect start to the week.

They aren’t perfect but they are better than most places I have gone to. I was disappointed last time though because my big toe got a slight infection after I got a pedicure from them. I like that they put attention to detail though and don’t use old polish. They are never crowded either. Definitely recommend.

I’m extremely picky about my nails and how they’re done, but I think I found my nail soulmate. Julie at uptown spa is amazing, she payed so much attention to the smallest details and made sure I was happy throughout the whole time. It was my first time coming here but I have now become a loyal customer. And they have stamp cards to get you $$ off your services! Definitely recommend this spot!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I get my brows and eyelashes done here! I was a little skeptical on getting my lashes done cause I’ve hair bad stories but my mother in law convinced me to come here and I’m glad I did! The lashes look absolutely stunning and so natural!!! You can’t tell at all they are extension!

This place is very clean and everyone was very nice. Sang and Donna were very nice and did an amazing job on my daughters nails.

I have a go to nail salon but wanted to try in my neighborhood. Ladies seemed descent.alright.a girl who did my nails was not overly friendly but just fine and she did my nails excellent! She didn’t really talk or anything just did my nails. I had a gel manicure, which I’ve been having for years. They have so many colors to choose from. It took me a while to pick one and when I finally did, she couldn’t find the color… that was a disappointment. big one. I had to go for my second choice.fine.
My priority in choosing a nail salon is 1. cleanliness 2. skills and this place has both so I’ll be returning.
P. S. my only concern is… food smells. I don’t want to sound rude but the food they eat in the back has crazy smell. not familiar to me and it was really bothering.

Oh how I miss Ivy. I found this place about 2 years ago on Unilocal.I was looking for a nail place to do my wedding nails that wouldn’t make me drive into LA and break the bank.
This place is clean and friendly and most of the nail techs are pretty good. But Ivy was my nail tech goddess. She hooked me UP with gel nails (not a manicure, like acrylic nails but with a gel overlay). She made my nails look so natural and was so meticulous about the details. Each appointment leading up to my wedding nails was better than the last. I brought in nail art pictures I found on Pinterest and Ivy executed each request flawlessly.
And then I moved to Oklahoma after my wedding. The nail scene out here is a little… Behind in the times. So Ivy, if you read this, thank you for stepping up my nail game those few short months in 2014! And if you ever feel like moving to the middle of the country to set up a nail shop, I promise I’ll be your best customer!

Everyone at this nail salon is very welcoming. They do a great job on my nails. I needed to get my nails done for an event the next day and did not have a babysitter, I brought my 2 year old son with me. They graciously kept him busy and let him sit in the massage chair next to me. I obviously know not to do this on a regular basis but for this emergency situation, I really appreciated their understanding.

Made an appointment the day I called, asked for Kathy! She did an amazing job, she really took her time even though she was super busy. Also, she carried a conversation which I appreciated. I can’t stop looking at my gel mani! Came out to 32 $ including removal of previous gel & foil design on two of my fingers. I’m in love, I think Kathy is going to be my new go-​to!

Felt terrible cheating on my favorite nail salon when I ventured out last month. When I returned, Cynthia clearly knew I got suckered in trying out a new salon; I felt guilty. But all was forgiven in the end.
I came in to get my nails done by Cynthia who once again, has done a fantastic job! And I came out with a pedicure, and eyelash extensions. It’s like walking into Target or a Costco and walking out with a shopping cart full of goodies.
Donna, on pedicure was smooth and quite the sweet gal. She’s very detailed and gets into the pedicure and massage.
Sina, on eyelash extensions was gentle and precise. There were moments my eyes stung from the glue, which was typical, but I sucked it up and only lasted a few minutes. I’m so thrilled with my decision and they helped me make the right choice as well.

Kathy is my absolute favorite person there. She’s my go-​to person to get a gel mani and an eyebrow wax from. She always makes sure you’re satisfied with the result and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect.
The place is very clean and small, which is a good thing so it doesn’t get too crazy when you’re there getting your nails done. They clean the pedicure spas right after each client. I would suggest this salon to any of my friends or family.

Per my prior review the last 2 times I went here they were good. I got a Mani pedi today and both women were horrible !!! I’ve been getting my nails done for 15 years now so I know what to expect. My nails weren’t square like I asked and neither was my pedi. When I pointed it out she said it’s because of my nail. NO it’s not !! Like I said bee getting my nails done for 15 years and it’s never been «because of my nail» that I couldn’t have my nails filed as square.
Disappointed because I thought this was going to be my new mani pedi place. Going to go back to my regular place in Glendale

I made an appointment for a gel mani an hour before. I find that almost all nail salons I have to wait a little bit even if I have an appointment made, but they started on my nails as soon as I walked in. The gel mani was only $ 25! Didn’t get my lady’s name but she was very accommodating. She even asked if I wanted one more coat because I chose a very light pink color. There’s a $ 1 charge for card transactions.
I will definitely be coming back :)

I love this place! It was my first time here and I s spontaneously decided that I wanted a manicure. I walked in not knowing what I wanted to do with my nails, but they did not rush me and they let me take my time looking at pictures and asking questions. Then, when I finally decided, they brought out a huge selection of gel colors. I was seated immediately after that.
The lady who did ym nails (I don’t know her name) did such an amazing job. She took a long time, but it was because the outcome was so perfect.
I’m usually very picky about nail shapes, so I showed her a picture of how I wanted it. immediately she started working on my nails and did it EXACTLY how I wanted.
I especially love how affordable this salon was. I got a gel manicure ($ 25) with a design ($ 7) and I paid $ 36 with tip!
I will definitely be coming back to try out their actylics!

This is hands down one of the best nail salon’s I’ve ever been, if not the absolute best one. The ladies were all so sweet and consistent with helping me and not rushing even though they were so busy.
I came in around 6:30, which is the busiest time since people get off work and come trying to get their nails done. Parking lot was easy to locate. Anyways, I walked in and one of the sweet ladies told me upfront that it’s going to be a wait since they were so busy but I had time so I agreed. Their gel variety is substantial and great; they have all colors and brands like OPI and Essie. It’s a great selection and you’re bound to find the perfect color.
This is my go-​to from now on because of their outstanding customer service and compassion towards their customers. They sat and perfected my nails. Especially when I came late and made them stay 2 hours after closing time. Yet, they thanked me for waiting and brought me tea. They were absolutely perfect. If I’m in the area, I will go nowhere else!
