After careful review on different businesses for eyelash extensions, I decided upon Golden Island Spa. I called to schedule my appointment. The lady on the phone then insisted on my groupon voucher ahead of time,
I told her I would be more than happy to give her the groupon after the service was provided. She then said due to cancellations, she was unable to book my appointment. I am extremely disappointed with this horrible customer service. Cancelled my groupon immediately after this conversation with her.

So I had a bad experience last week at a place in Tustin and it took me a couple days to recover enough just to try somewhere else, but I’m so glad I did.
First, they just recently opened their shop. The place is clean with pretty easy parking. The receptionist was friendly and the place was clean. Most important though, the deep tissue massage was excellent. The massage therapist took her time, used careful pressure and slow strokes, and didn’t rely too much on elbows and forearms. It was definitely deep tissue and I knew I’d be a bit sore but that it would be good later and even made a comment about this, so the massage therapist gave me a few extra minutes to help me with some stretching, which I think helped me to recover much more quickly. I certainly feel a world better today!

Lin was referred by my sister, eager to see her, I made a same day appointment. Lin gave me same price as Groupon. I was very happy with the results, long & lush natural looking lashes. My daughter saw my lash extentions, and the story repeated– I made a same day appointment for her.

I was very happy with my outcome! I was a little nervous after reading different reviews. Had no issues or discomfort while Lin was placing my eyelashes, as others mentioned. Any reaction to the glue honestly depends on your skin, everyone is going to be different.
Only problem I had was that the glue was very strong, scent wise (a very strong chemical scent but it doesn’t help that I have a sensitive nose). The glue was was placed near my nose so it was kinda hard to get away from having to smell it.
BUUUTT my eyelashes look amazing and are natural looking. Does not appear as if I have a set of eyelashes on and that was my biggest fear, I didn’t want to look like the girl that needed to apply fake lashes every day. They are wispy and fab! Very light not heavy on the eyes like fake lashes can be.
Overall extremely happy!
Ps. Make sure you pee before you start. I ended up drinking a trenta sized green tea right before and I was dying to use the restroom. Lesson learned!

Found this place through Groupon and took advantage of the deal. Now, about 1−½ weeks later my eyelashes have already shed about ½ of what it was originally. I don’t know if its the technique, the type of eyelashes she used, or the glue but my eyelashes usually last at least 2 weeks before I need a fill.
I will say that Lin is very friendly and she did warn me that these may not last very long… but when I asked if I should proceed with the service she recommended that I do it. If my eyelashes aren’t compatible with her product, maybe she should’ve asked that I not do it…

I used a Groupon to do Eyelash Extensions and I LOVE them! I got the full set and I forgot the name of the lady who did them but she was so nice and did a great job. Great quality lashes and I am going back for a fill. The lashes felt light and lasted longer than I thought! THANK YOU!!! I would definitely recommend!

FYI: Place moved to 2661 W. Whittier Blvd. #C, La Habra a few weeks ago. Its in the center across from the Vans shoe store. I love my eyelash extensions! I got a full set 3.5 weeks ago and just barely needed a touch up. I have very short and thin lashes and they look awesome! Very good quality and Lin is very sweet. The place is very relaxing with light music and she is very fast. Only an hour to do the full set. Now my Mom, Sister, (2) Cousins and a Friend all come here! Very affordable and clean too!

DO NOT go here for eyelash extensions. Just had mine done 2 days ago. My eyes are red and swollen and I am in a lot of pain. The technician applied way too much glue. The glue was running into my eyes causing me to tear up while she put them on. Also the lashes used are so thick they feel like tiny wires poking into my eyelid. I went to another eyelash place to get them removed but could not get them off. Too much glue was applied. Save your eyes and go somewhere else. Not worth the discounted price!

I purchased a groupon for eyelash extensions & when I called to make an appointment, the lady who answered was very rude! If you run a business, you don’t answer the phone «Hello». When I proceeded to tell her that I wanted to set up an appointment, she asked if she could call me back later & when I was trying to give her my number, she rudely interrupted me and asked me to text her my information. I found that so unprofessional & she wasn’t able to accommodate me as her new client. Won’t be using this service & don’t recommend anyone else either.

I had Lin put in a full set of eyelashes. I can honestly say it was the best experience I’ve had so far! First of all the lashes came out more natural looking than expected but still so long and full. It was such a relaxing and fast experience I can’t wait for my refill

HORRIBLE.
I made an appointment. I gave her my name and number and we discussed cost. I got there and she is not there. Her assistant speaks no English so she called the woman for help and I talked to her on the phone. She said she would drive over so to just wait. My appointment was for 10 am and I got back in my car at 10:30 when she still had not driven up to the front of the building. Who does that? I understand when appointments run over. But really? A no show? She had my phone number. She could of called. RUDE. My time is just as valuable as hers.
I suggest your best way of doing business here is to be a walk in.

I used to get my eyelash extensions from a place in Long Beach but wanted to look for a closer location. Sadly, I was more than disappointed with my eyelash extension from Golden Island Spa. If you love dramatic eyelashes, Golden Island Spa may be the place for you. I specifically asked for a more of a natural look but instead I got stuck with uncomfortably heavy, thick eyelashes that my natural eyelashes could not support. My eyelashes looked obviously fake and out of place that I couldn’t wait for the extensions to fall off.

I would highly recommend this place to everyone. A «Basic Facial» for $ 55 was hardly basic at all. She takes her time and makes sure you are always comfortable. This place is a must go to to feel pampered.

Amazing lashes! Highly recommend for lash extensions.
Tried this place with a Groupon. I loved my lashes so much I brought my mom and now will only go here. Travelled internationally for 2 weeks, after first application, and lashes were perfect the whole time!
I didn’t even need a fill till week 3. (Note: lashes would have lasted a whole month before needing a fill but I got sick and I rubbed my eyes a lot because of my cold)
Lash extensions are so convenient and make getting ready a breeze. Saves tons of time because lash application allows you to skip eyeliner and mascara. Everyone compliments my lashes and how great they look! Mostly they think they’re real and can’t believe they’re extensions. Yay!
Bonuses: Pricing is better than almost anywhere. The establishment is very clean.
Accommodating to scheduling requests and wonderful service.

I got my eyelash extensions on 2⁄18 and absolutely LOVE them! She was so sweet and nice and she has super FAST!!! I’ve gotten them before and get really anxious with having to sit still for 2 plus hours she was done in a hour ! Awesome ! Have recommended to all my friend and will be coming in for a fill soon :) thanks again!

I’m hooked! Thank you, Lin!!! Just tried lash extensions for the first time and they came out amazing! I called Lin and she was able to squeeze me in the next day.
Lin was extremely gentle and the experience was quite relaxing. I think I may have fallen asleep. The process took approximately 1 hour 15 mins.
I will definitely be back!
