I visited this boutique two times now, once over the winter last year and again on my birthday this past summer. The owner is delightful and has such great taste. She has introduced me to brands that I’ve never heard before that are timeless and of such great quality. Despite the fact I’m from Chicago, I was cold when walking around La Jolla and came across this boutique when trying to find a sweater to keep warm. Well I found the BEST sweater and have received numerous compliments! I then purchased a matching pair of shorts and blazer over my birthday… well, my boyfriend bought me the outfit for my birthday :) Again, I always get paid such nice compliments and it is one of my favorite outfits. The collection is amazing — highly recommend browsing through the boutique and having the opportunity to meet the owner. She is wonderful!

This boutique is fantastic. The owner curates a beautiful collection of Italian-made clothing. To me, this means high quality pieces that are fashionable but also timeless. I believe Italian designers really pay attention to lines and how they flatter a woman. Her choices reflect this philosophy. I just purchased the perfect casual blazer(I had been looking for almost a year for it) and have already earmarked several other pieces I’d like. As other reviewers mention, shopping here can get pricey. But I would counter that these pieces are made to last, so your investment is well worth it. An absolute must-stop if you’re shopping in La Jolla. Also, the sales can net you some awesome pieces as well.

I am ashamed to say that I have not visited the ladies since I wrote the initial review, 3 years ago. But, I wanted to update that all of the things I purchased have held out they still look new and the fashions are still fresh(despite being 3 years old). Cheers to long-term clothing investments!

I am on my way there now with an out of town friend, she wants to get the same clothes as me! I love everything wish I could afford to buy out the store every time I go so I limit myself to about once a quarter…

Amore Boutique is definitely fit for an Italian-designers-only fashionista. Flavio Castellani, Paolo Cazellini and Imperiale are the most represented lines whose prices are respectively astronomical, but the entire collection is worth checking out. These lines are fancy yet so versatile and appropriate for so many occasions that the hefty designer cost is almost palatable.

Amore is a French-inspired boutique boasting a slight air of snobbery. All the sales girls seem to have foreign accents and are beautiful and perfect in every way. If you can get past all that and make your way to the back wall where the 50 percent sale items are hanging, you’ll be alright. However, half off in this case means instead of $ 300, it’s $ 150. If their stuff wasn’t so damn cute, I’d give them one star for their absurd prices, but I’ve been told by my best friend, the fashion expert living in London, that $ 300 is actually cheap for quality, boutique-style clothing.
