Five dollars flat for a kiddie scoop and waffle cone. Ice cream was melting so fast and it got messy and it was a cool cloudy day today. Person at register was nice

Ice cream! Who doesn’t want it?! Absolutely amazing, had the cookies and crème milkshake and it was exactly what I needed. There was only one girl with glasses on working hard and she did a great job. Häagen-Dazs ice cream is definitely my favorite.

We come here all the time but I forget to write reviews. I grew up eating this brand of ice cream from the grocery store so I love that they have a shop! Caramel cone, chocolate peanut butter, and coffee are always my favorites! We tried the peppermint bark today and it was like Christmas in your mouth.

I went to buy an ice cream, it was really delicious. But I saw a roach as I was leaving. Yikes !

Haagen Dazs has so many different and wonderful favors to choose from. The beast things is that they will let you try each and everyone favor so that you can decide which one that you like best.

Friendly staff! Got to have my fav Haägen-Dazs ice cream flavor, Rum Raisin. Shop is a little small, but it’s the location!

Really yummy. Helpful service. Chose to walk a bit after a big dinner then stop in here for dessert. Glad we did, it was great.

The staff is very friendly and the ice cream was delicious. This location seems to be very generous with portions, which is very appreciated. Overall a great experience.

$ 4 for a small scoop?! The line moves SOSLOWLY here. Go to Bobboi Natural Gelato(right around the corner) instead which is local, natural, and unique!

In a good location surrounded by a lot of shops and restaurants. Haagen Dazs ice cream is my favorite so you can’t go wrong here. I like the strawberry ice cream because it’s not too icky sweet and its basically healthy because it’s strawberry flavored ;) Small store without any seating. You will most likely be eating your ice cream while wondering around through all the shops.

Just went here today. Walked in and the case at the front of the store looked almost completely empty, which did NOT make a good impression. I had to peer into the ice cream counter part to even see if they had any scoopable stuffs! This is a great location, and so they should deliver. Based on other reviews they’ve been having issues with this, and I experienced the same. I got a kiddie size, which is two small scoops of ice cream. It was perfect. But the prices are QUITE steep, and I could have bought myself probably two pints at the grocery store for the same price. I understand paying a little more to get a scoop or two immediately in a store, but this was excessive. They know they’re milking the La Jolla customer market, I bet. The shop was completely short staffed. Only one guy on when we arrived. There was a constant slew of people coming in and out, and while he handled it graciously, seriously WHERE was his help? Also, there was no trash nearby, no where to select your own napkins(what if you needed more?), and no where to throw away your used sampling spoons. Overall: Ice cream is delicious, but ambience and service is to be desired.

Well… after having an AMAZING experience at the downtown Disney location, I truly did not expect it to be that different? Boy was I wrong. Let me just sum this up very brief and quickly: Went in on Valentine’s Day around 8 pm. Every single flavor(minus 3) were out of STOCK! What in the world?!? On a holiday you would think a company would plan ahead and prepare for this sort of disaster. I guess not. Oh and they also decided to only have on board two employees(1 of them being BRANDNEW). That right there just screams CHAOTIC! The line was out the door, and when finally getting up the the front was sad to see only a few flavors left, hardly any toppings, they were out of multiple sundaes, there was trash all along the counter, & hot fudge had exploded on the wall! I was annoyed, but after waiting so long I settled for a flavor and ordered a «kiddie size», the man replied they do not have that. I was kind of confused as it was on the menu? His co worker replies to just give me a scoop, and that will suffice a «kiddie size». Long story short, he hands me the TINIEST scoop of ice cream I have ever laid eyes on… and tells me that will be $ 6. I was so shocked, but after waiting 20 minutes I paid and left eating the most expensive ice cream I have ever had. While yes it was tasty… it was not worth it. Please figure out your ordering for back ups of flavors & do not have brand new employees work on a busy holiday. Also the prices are steering me away!

The salted caramel truffle ice cream was exactly what I needed to solve my Valentine’s Day sweet tooth craving :)

Growing up, our entire family regularly visited this ice cream shop. Unfortunately, it has changed for the worse. It no longer has the same appeal and the prices have gone up. If you order one scoop of ice cream it costs $ 5. This is insane, especially since they are only serving ice cream that can also be purchased at the nearby Safeway. It’s not like it is anything special like home made or local ice cream. Why bother getting one scoop for $ 5 when you can buy an entire pint of Haagen Daz for $ 3 at Vons.

I’ve been coming here with my kids for 8 years but it has completely changed ownership and it really shows. Service has improved dramatically and the store is cleaner than ever. I’m impressed with the changes, we will be back. :)

This is not my first poor experience with this place, but I gave it another chance. The second time it was bad, I def had to write a review. First off, the store was out of tons of flavors. Apparently, this is due to corporate, which I understand is out of the store’s hands. However, the manner in which they handled it was not ok. The girl who helped us, Maddy, was extremely rude and gave massive amounts of attitude about the flavors. Instead of being helpful, she acted irritated that she had to repeat which flavors they were out of. Sorry, but it was hard to keep track of what they DIDNT have because there was SOMANY. Apparently, the owner was in store, but he was busy with another customer while her initial insults ensued. However, I was pretty baffled that she coped such a huge attitude in front of the owner when he was done with the customer he was helping(albeit, he was a bit distracted i think). Before leaving, I asked the rude girl, Maddy, her name, which seemed to scare her. The owner then asked how we were, if we were local, and offered us a $ 1 off card for the next time. That was def nice of him, but didn’t make up for his rude employee. To top it off, one scoop of ice cream on a sprinkle cone was almost EIGHTDOLLARS!!! With such steep prices I would expect exceptional customer service. Instead, we got the opposite. I will gladly take my business to the other sweet shops in La Jolla next time instead of here.

You just can’t go wrong with strawberry and chocolate in a waffle cone. The service is decent here. The best service, though, comes from John(early 20s, eyeglasses). He’s a very cool dude. The location is great. Not far from the beach. Order a cone and walk down the street eating your ice cream.

Went to haagen dazs for some ice cream on a perfect beach weather day. Hot, sweaty kind of weather… makes a person want ice cream. So my friends and I stopped by this shop for some ice cream and smoothies. Pretty expensive and not really that good. Cones were no fresh made and they charge alot for some unfresh cones. I got the sprinkled chocolate dipped one and it did not taste that good at all and for some reason a bit stale. I ordered the cookie dough two scoops and chocolate sprinkled cone, my friends ordered chocolate chip gelato, mango smoothie and strawberry banana smoothie. All together cost us 26 something. Service was ok. the store is somewhat confusing… didn’t know where the line starts or where could we pay for the ice creams since the cashier is no where to be found.

Not a lot of places to sit, but the ice cream man was patient with all our sample requests. I love that they have gelato now :) I think if the place had a view, it’d be more than just an ‘a-ok’ rating, but there really is no reason to go here other than if you are in the area and have a hankering for some ice cream.
