Very happy with Sun. He does a great job, keeps his place well organized and meticulously clean. Very friendly, too. I have been to many places in San Diego over the years but this one it the best. Highly recommended! Call first to make an appointment.

Fantastic experience! Sun is the reason I signed up for Unilocal,just so that I could write a review. Short side of the story is that he is a very nice, professional barber, who gives great service and even better haircuts.
Long story: I scheduled the appointment for 5:45 p.m. (15 min before he closes) at 2:30 p.m. the same day. I got out of work a little later than usual and forgot I needed to fill up with gas. Thus, even though I was already running behind, I had to stop and put enough gas in to ensure I’d make it there. I ended up getting there at 5:55 p.m. and Sun was waiting patiently reading the newspaper. I ran in and apologized for being so late and said I understood if he wasn’t able to give me the haircut as I was the one who was late and it was 5 minutes before his closing time. He assured me this was not a problem and proceeded to give me exactly the haircut I wanted in under 15 minutes. I then went to pay him and asked if he accepted debit cards, however he unfortunately does not. I will say that this is the only thing that I could ever say bad about my experience, and an extremely small inconvenience to pay for exceptional service. I then asked where the nearest ATM was, which he said was at 7 – 11 just down the road. Thus, to reassure him that I would return to pay him, I left my wallet with him, and went to the 7 – 11 with my debit card to withdraw some cash. I was gone and back in about 7 to 10 minutes. I returned and he was patiently waiting again, reading his newspaper. I paid him and thanked him repeatedly for his excellent service and quality of haircut. This was my first haircut in San Diego since moving here and it is safe to say that I have found my regular barber with my very first experience. Hats off to Sun for the exceptional barber shop he runs.

He can do a stylish cut and a quick beard trim fast (20 minutes). He can do the same job as an expensive salon in half the time and half the money. Super clean Shop-​super friendly Sun-​and the perfect place to send the boys for a quick sharp cut.

Sun is a very friendly, hard-​working, experienced barber. I have curly hair and sometimes let it get out of hand! I am very picky about who cuts my hair, because many hairdressers and barbers don’t know how to cut my hair. Sun gives me a professional look and pays attention to all the grooming details. He cleans everything up neatly. I get a cut that I feel proud of.
He has many regular customers because we know he will give us excellent service at an extremely affordable price. I have never been disappointed.
He also remembers the cut I need, but will take time to make it right if I see something out of place (which is practically never).
High priced hair ‘dressers’ have nothing on Sun. He can handle anything.
I give him the highest recommendation.

Sun is an excellent Barber and super affordable. He cuts mens and women’s hair and is just top notch. Sun is super friendly and he cuts hair better than style salons that charge you $ 75 for the same thing. This guy is amazing!

Sun is great barber. He knows how to handle the scissors and has a great relationship with his customers. The spot is convenient and he charges less than 20 to cut my hair.

Sun is the man. Having come from East coast, I often generalize Californian superficial but Sun’s personality shuddered that stereotype. He is very hard working and genuine man.
His genuine personality and his art of carrying conversation made me feel that I’d known this guy for long time.
