GROSS!!! Eat at your own risk. I usually give places a few chances because sometimes things don’t always go right and it could be a good place to eat. Not this time. This place smells like an unflushed toilet at mardi gras. Food sucked, salsa sucked and the answer I got when asked for a refill to wash the nasty taste out of my mouth was NO. The same answer I’d give you if they asked me to eat there again for free.

Ok, I’ll be brief. I’m NEVER coming back to this taco shop again. I asked for some lettuce, cheese and beans on an otherwise plain carne asada burrito, and the three workers all converged at the drive thru window to debate and decide how on earth this impossible task could be undertaken and paid for. I simply drove off, and apologized for knocking the planets out of alignment. Unbelievable.

I dig this place. This has been my go to Carne Asada Fries shop for years. I’ve still never had better. It is not like other Carne Asada Fries orders. You aren’t overwhelmed with the plentitude. But I love that the Fries are Fat and not the skinny fries. I love that they cook their french fries until they are actually cooked(go Figure). and I love the meat. I ALWAYS ask for Pico de gallo/Salsa Fresca on my Carne Asada fries. It is a must! Enjoy!

Best taco shop ever. Hands down. I miss living around the corner from it. RIP El Compadre.

Good, Quick Mexican food. My husband and I like this place a lot, I think my husband likes a lot more than I do, but he LOVES mexican food. So, we ordered food the other night through the drive through, waited a little but worth it. We live around the corner from here, so when I got home and found out they forgot an item I wasn’t to annoyed I had to return. The man at the counter was really nice, showed him my receipt with the missed item and I was out of there in no time, with comp hot carrots too. As Arnold would say, we will be back.

I love Citlalli! I live not too far from this joint and have had great Mexican food on every visit. If I had a complaint, it would be the wait time in the drive thru. Man, they do take forever! But, I know that they’re making my food fresh every time and not grabbing some crap that’s been sitting around. A few people have complained about their«watery» hot sauce, but I really think that it’s one of the better sauces around. I’ve only been living in San Diego and eating Mexican food my ENTIRE life, so what do I know?

This place gets by on location, with a high school next store. I just had one of the worst California burritos I’ve ever had. Grey, unseasoned meat, bland potatoes. Just completely half-assed. I’ve been there three times now, and each visit is worse than the last. Not going back. On my do-not-fly list. They are on cruise control, just going through the motions. Not like high school kids know any better.

Less than mediocre food, couldnot even finish it. Is definitely the place for high school students who are right next door. Overall, a regular taco shop with bad food and low prices, the only difference between them and other taco shops is the western fast food style, with«McD» ordering system.

I have been going to this taco shop since i was a little girl, and the food is like a blissful delight. My burritto never falls apart, never undercooked, and never to seasoned. I love the people that work there, the man that works the cashier is very helpful. The best item is a break bacon burritto. At night though there is a girl at the cashier that never gives you alot of hot sauce even though you ask for alot. Kind of annoying. Other than :) Its so convienient being in front of my school. The results food is never a let down.

Cheap prices, great tortillas and really good salsa. Minus one star for how long it took to get the food at the drive thru and minus another star for the lack of seasoning in the food. I got a pollo asado burrito Mike got the carne asada fries. Originally we ordered the adobado fries, but they ran out of adobado.

The $ 3 breakfast burritos on Sat/Sun are pretty good, as well as their bean burritos that you can get for $ 2 on Tue/Thur. I just tried their carne asada burrito and it was mostly potatoes. I wouldn’t say it was atrocious, but you can certainly get better food(ie. Adalbertos on the corner of La Mesa Blvd/El Cajon Blvd — across from St. Martins)

The carne asada burrito was just OK. I’ve definitely experienced better. I was really dissapointed in the carne asada, it was small scraps and tasted like it was cooked in some week old oil. Not to mention the size of the burrtio was tiny in comparison to the $ 5 price. And the hotsauce? So watery and tasteless! The only thing good about this place was the hortchata, but how can you screw that up right? With so many different taco shops in San Diego, I won’t be back to this one.

Don’t get me wrong, this place isn’t terrible, but any random taqueria will beat it out, hands down. Most disappointing(and a key factor to a good Mexican joint), is that their hot sauce/salsa is watery and tasteless. You can do much better at any place you pass on the way here.
