My husband and I stopped by today and loved the cottage atmosphere. They tastefully decorated the place for Christmas and the antiques were a nice added touch. There are civil war fabrics everywhere. The staff and customers all seemed to know each other, and there were several people sitting down in the back ready to start a class.

This is a lovely little fabric store, perfect for quilters and other people who sew, but it always shows up under the results when I type yarn or knitting supplies in the Unilocal search box. If you’re looking for fabric and sewing supplies this is definitely a place you should check out! But if you are looking for yarn, knitting, or crochet supplies, it has none. I have stopped in here a couple of times just for the fun of looking around, even though I don’t sew, so I know it is a wonderful little shop. But if you are interested in yarn and knitting supplies, drive a few blocks over to another wonderful little independently owned business called Yarn and Thread Expressions on La Mesa Boulevard.

I didn’t buy anything here but it wasn’t without great effort. The retail store in the house is such a great concept and they have taken it to the next level. Everything is for sale, but it is laid out in a very cozy way. Which is especially fun during the fall. The home décor and fabric selection is great, along with the quilting class that was going on while shopping. I will be back!

Great place, great staff, fantastic quilting and home furnishings and gifts. Definitely recommended for anyone that loves to quilt, sew, etc. They also have great events and classes. And, antique furniture.

OMG so lovely! Wonderful wools and flannels. Amazing room full of period fabrics and so much to see. Finally a store for grown ups!!! This is not Joanne’s so if you want bright cartoon animals fabric this is not your store. This is for serious period quilters and hard to find colors, flannels and wools.

Very welcoming staff! I don’t take classes there, and only stop in once a month, but am always welcomed and treated well. Their focus is civil war type reproduction fabrics, wools, and a style known as «Primitive», so if that’s your thing, they have the BEST selections available, including beautiful patterns, threads, notions, etc.

Love this shop. Frist time I visited it a few years ago. Walked in and said I want to live here. That quaint country feeling. Love their selection of fabric and patterns. The staff is great, five star customer service, very friendly and helpful.

This is a great little local store. I love the atmosphere here. They have a large selection and some unique pieces. My only complaint is that I wish they had a bigger variety of fabric styles. More stuff for kids quilts and bright primary colors would be great. Other than that, it is a great little spot.

I cant believe I have never been here before! Cute little cottage home that was made into a retail shop. I LOVE places like these. There is fabric in every nook and cranny of this shop, even the bathroom! There is so much to look at! There is wool fabric, wool fiber for spining yarn, candles, patterns, notions. They use amazing antique strorage drawers to showcase thread, and even in the kitchen they use the cabinets for displaying notions. It is such a cozy shop because it feels like you are at your best friends house looking through their craft supply! Everyone who works there is super friendly, and I found lots of fabric squares(fat quarters) for quilt making here. Many unique fabrics I have never seen before. Definately worth coming back to!
