Update 02 – 2013: do to job changes etc. I’ve been self employed. It cost $ 95 /visit so I cut back from 4 visits a year to 3. I’ve learned some good tips here and my gums(and measured pocket depth around the teeth continue to improve). I have DeltaCare Dental Insurance through my HMO health insurance and I was referred to this place by a dentist that you do not want to go to(see my Unilocal review for Katnik) Richard D Katnik Inc 7319 Clairemont Mesa Blvd San Diego, CA92111‑1101 …because I had gingivitis aka periodontal gum disease. I learned how to take better care of my gums and the following info by going to this place: This condition is very common. Basically, where your gum comes to a point between the teeth turns read. Your gums may be sore or bleed easily while flossing. Even if you have no cavities you can still loose your teeth if you don’t take care of your gums. They gave me tips like always brush your teeth right after eating. If you are out somewhere keep a traveling toothbrush in your pocket. Even if you don’t have toothpaste or the time brush your teeth anyway. They sometimes spend almost 1 hr cleaning. My gums have improved a lot. What I don’t like is that this place is soooo far away from Rancho Penasquitos where I live. Also, certain hygienists can be a little quirky. My plan only covers 2 visits a year and for gum disease they want you to go 4x /year. So I have to pay for two visits each year at a cost of about $ 100 per visit. Also, there are two unrelated dentists in the same building which is a little confusing.
