I needed a custom frame built for a stage design element built. I sent Mike a sketch of what I needed and he promptly got in touch with me asked a few clarifying questions and then gave me a great price on my project. Mike sent me photos of my frames once everything was done. I can’t stress enough how professional and friendly these guys were at every step along the way. Can’t recommend them enough.

We needed a shelf to be built. I knew what I needed but I knew I needed professional help. I called several places and I was given the run around and brushed off several times. Seems to be that the nature of the Universe is that if you are a small guy with a small project, you just don’t matter. After being left without communication for weeks by one contractor, I decided to find someone else to help me. As luck would have it, I found Mike at San Diego Metalcraft.
1) Mike asked me to describe what I needed done… and listened. He was happy to have me send a diagram to him. The idea is that there are a lot of people out there that KNOW what you need before you even finish stating what you want… Professionals ask questions, listen and discuss issues that might come up before quoting prices and timelines… I knew that Mike was the man I wanted to work with after the first conversation.
2) Mike made no immediate promises other than he would take a look and give me a call back soon with a quote and an expected timeline. PROMISE KEPT!!! He called me back the next day and told me what would be involved… explained that it needed to be made up to food service specs… and told me how much to expect from materials and labor (broken down clearly, I might add). He gave me an expected total cost… and told me what his schedule of work was for the following week. He asked me when I needed it (leading me to believe that he understands that there are projects that NEED to be be done quickly and he will attempt to help when an emergency comes up) and we came to an agreement quickly on a budget, timeline and expected outcome.
3) Follow through was impeccable… and the end result was PERFECT. On a busy night, he arrived when he said he would, delivered to the back of the restaurant and in about 45 seconds, we were able to insert the shelf into the fridge and it was like we always had it… The end product was exactly what was designed, the measurements were perfect and the look was professional, clean and smooth.
Our restaurant is definitely going to be using Mike and San Diego Metalcraft again for any metal fabrication. He’s not only the best, he’s a businessman you can trust and send referrals to knowing that he’s going to take care of all of his customers the way he took care of us.

I needed a new wet bar for my restaurant (Lucha Libre), so I called a few people and these guys gave me an estimate right away (everyone else took forever and charged way to much.) They custom built this beautiful stainless steel wetbar and they went the extra mile with detail. They made the sliding door cabinet handles look like our logo, something that we didn’t expect and is a prime example of how much care and detail they put into their customers and work. We will be definitely calling them back for future work
