DO NOT do business with Jeff Throckmorton! You will regret it! At first, he seemed like a trustworthy guy, but when his true colors came through, I couldn’t believe he actually claimed he was a LANDSCAPER. Jeff gave us the cheapest quote to place sod and sprinklers but in the end none of it was worth it. It has been over a year since we did business with him and we now have missing/​dead grass and sprinklers that don’t function. We paid close to $ 5000 for a job POORLY done.
Two weeks after our marathon sod and sprinklers were placed, we noticed our grass starting to yellow. We contacted Jeff about the issue multiple times and by this time Jeff was not picking up our phone calls. Jeff would consistently make up excuses about why he couldn’t come to our house. After not getting an answer, we had other professional landscapers assess our lawn. They clearly said Jeff did a defective job when placing the sprinklers.
The sprinklers were not spraying sufficient water on our grass and as a result our grass was dying. The areas the sprinklers were placed were also incorrect. He placed 360 degree sprinklers next to our wall, causing unnecessary water waste. Jeff attempted to adjust the sprinklers once but since he came so many weeks later, our grass was already dead. At that point, Jeff offered to remove the dead grass and replace it with new sod. Our concern was that the grass was still going to die because the sprinklers were INADEQUATE. He absolutely REFUSED to fix the sprinklers and instead decided to blame us because he said we were not watering our grass often enough. Jeff will do anything to NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.
Jeff is very UNPROFESSIONAL. On a few occasions he decided to get defensive with my husband inside our house in front of our toddlers! Someone who has morale will have the discipline to hold his tongue. He is UNRELIABLE. In the beginning, he would promptly answer our questions and pick up the phone even when he was busy. After he saw our grass was dying, he decided to avoid us by not answering our calls. We felt he couldn’t be trusted a s a professional. Jeff is IRRESPONSIBLE AND A THIEF. He did not do the work that we paid for. We paid for marathon sod and sprinklers. To this day, the only reason part of our lawn is still alive is because we have to use the hose to water it. It takes about an hour to water our front and back yard. He robbed us of our MONEY and TIME. Last but not least, he is a W***E SUPREMACIST. When we asked him how he got his business he said, «because I am White.» He didn’t say because of his qualities and training. He just said because he is «white.»
I don’t usually write reviews but I felt I owed it to the public. We DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH! If I could save one person from doing business with him then that is one less person he is going to SCREW. As new homeowners, we have learned to be very careful who we do business with.
The last thing we wanted to do was to deal with court. Unfortunately, since Jeff was not taking any responsibility, we decided court was our only option. WE WON THE CASE IN OCTOBER OF 2013 AND TO THIS DAY HAS NOT PAID A DIME! Do not do business with Jeff. He is not licensed and will do WHATEVER HE CAN TO ROB YOU OF YOUR TIME AND HARD-​EARNED MONEY !!! WHAT GOES AROUND COMES ****!!!

Just a few words to describe throckmortons landscaping. I just had a sprinkler system installed by them at my house. Works great, they installed same week i called. Never got the run around and was able to deal with the owner directly which is a big plus in my book. He kept the costs down just like he said. I have already recommended throckmortons landscaping to friends. If your looking for a landscaper they are the ones you want, no mickey mouse or BS, just honest hard work at very affordable prices. Only way to get it cheaper is do it yourself: P

Back story:
After calling a Quite a few different landscapers and getting either insane quotes or no answer at all i was getting ready to give up but i decided to try one last number which was throckmortons landscaping, what a change they answered the phone quickly and gave me a reasonable quote. Even though he was busy he came out next day to get a plan together, and even started work. I was impressed. They returned the next day only to find i changed the plans over night, but to my surprise it was no problem and i got no negative feed back for changing mid project, Jeff seemed very eager to meet all my needs and make every accommodation for me, something to be commended in this day and age. Everything went smooth and ended up working perfect first time around, he even set up the timers for me and gave me free advice on my upcoming lawn seeding. Throckmortons landscaping isn’t all about the dollar bills, they put people first. And no i dint work for them or anything. Just reporting the facts as it happened.

I had Throckmorton’s Gardening do my backyard landscaping. He and his team did a terrific job. They are professional, courteous, and do very nice work. No trash left in my yard, he didn’t say one thing and do another. The job was done in a timely fashion. It was nice to get someone honest and did what they said they would do. I would recommend his work anytime.
