RoadKing is my «home town» local spot to go. It’s been my #1 local spot for almost 8 years now. It’s perfect for a «one on one» with your buddies, or even a «one on one» with a date, a mingle within a group of friends, birthdays etc. The place itself is a bit on the smaller side but I have never really had a problem about that except on some weekends it gets too full. I also like how theres a liquor store literally like 5 steps away so that you can get candy, chips, drinks, cigarettes, scratchers, whatever you want if you don’t want to eat anything from RoadKing lol. RoadKing is more of place to kick it and chill more than somewhere to go to see or be seen. Thats why I like it. It’s local and convenient. They have a «mini-menu» that also has smaller portions of food items for about $ 5~$ 9 which I really appreciate. The food is alright, I think one of my favorite foods here is the«oojinguh(octopus/squid?) soup» It is the perfect kick of spicy seafood and it also helps you sober up a little bit. One thing though, Please über or sober up at their karaōke that they provide there(They only have 2 rooms though). There are a lot of cops that show up in that area parking lot or just roaming by constantly so don’t be stupid and get a DUI!

Great service & good vibes. Food is good and alcohol is fairly priced. Food is good Korean dishes. I got the tofu kimchi and sausage dish. Sausage dish was a little spicy but still very delicious.

Delicious food at a reasonable price in a lovely atmosphere, good service I could not fault this pub, one of my favourite little finds in USA. Food were awesome. Also their pan-fried foods were extremely nice. This korean pub is a remarkable young people. music is so good! perfects place for late night to catch up over beer and chicken! saturday is all day happy hour!

I’ve been coming here for years and always enjoyed this place but on my last visit my credit card was charged twice. Restaurant refuses to issue a refund. I still have my receipt and have opened a case with my credit card company in hopes to get my money back. I am extremely disappointed. I usually never give bad reviews but this experience was terrible.

Awesome atmosphere. Pretty good music. Bomb food. Fried whole chicken: A+ Spicy rice cake with ramen: A++ The service was great. Slow, but the whole place was packed and the ladies still kept a smile on their faces. :) Will definitely return, maybe for some drinks next time.

This is a spot we go on most Fridays with my friends. The service isnt that great but we go because of their happy hour and some of my friends live closer to this location and doesnt want to drive far after drinking. We go here when we have less people getting together! Usually when there is more than 10 people we go some place else. The food here is decent and prices of drinks are good! They have happy hour everyday. Think thats the main reason we go there because we can drink for somewhat cheaper than other korean bar. Since we been going for such a long time the workers know us and gives us service here and there. Restroom is the only downfall to this location. But i think thats a problem for most small korean bars. Parking lot is usually free once the liquor store closes down. Close to freeways and gas station.

FOOD: 4 – 5 stars! We got the marinated chicken(my Korean friend called it «Yom yom»? chicken) and cheese corn. Omg they were both soooo yummy!!! Price: It was more expensive than I thought, around $ 76 for three people — but we ordered 3 marinated chicken plates, a cheese corn, and 2 pitchers of beer. Saturdays is supposedly happy hour — buy 1 pitcher get 150% off. I didn’t check the bill, so I dunno the exact prices. Room/Atmosphere — It’s a fairly small bar, but they do have several separated booths on the side if you want to have some conversation or exclusivity. We came on a Saturday night and everyone seemed pretty chill but it’s very much a place where people go just to sit and talk with their own exclusive groups. I liked that the crowd wasn’t too obnoxious or loud like alot of bars in K-town.

We were seated in the biggest room because of our party. I LOVED how the room was accommodated nicely for our guests and it even had a karaōke set. Customer service was excellent because our server was very attentive to us and got us what we needed right when we asked for it. Food here is pretty good too. Drinks are good. Overall I’d come back.

Nice staff(maybe it was a lil bit understaffed but made up for it with the friendly service) chill place to drink if you live in Cerritos so you don’t need to go far. Fair prices. –1 star cause I got a splinter from the chopsticks

Don’t let looks fool you, it’s what’s inside that counts. Road King looks shady… almost like a dive bar right next to to a liquor store nestled in a dark corner beside a Burger King… Yet this is definitely my favorite local Korean bar in the area for pitchers of beer and 2 – 3 big TVs in time for Thursday or Monday night footballs. I always seem to end up sharing pitchers of beer and shots of lemon soju… it’s tradition now! They have little private rooms if you want a more intimate dining experience and a karaōke room if you end up taking too many shots of soju! I love ordering from their mini menu where items are typically less than $ 10 — oh and please get their cheese corn. Cheese corn and alcohol always seem to go hand in hand :)

Cool place to grab drinks and hang out with friends. They have a happy hour deal for 50% pitchers of beer after 10pm EVERYDAY. The food there is ok… We tried the Korean pancake and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries are NOT the traditional ones that one would think of. It’s actually just sweet potato flavored ramen like pieces. Dry, crunchy, and sweet. The music was Top 40 like. What’s nice about this place is the low-key appeal. There is an actual bar but also tables for more intimate conversations. I would come back again to grab a drink and hang out with friends without the flashy lights at other places.

If you are looking for a place to sing your heart out. I would NOT come here. I’ve been here twice and both times was for a friend’s birthday. The place isn’t bad but for the drive that I put it. definitely not worth it. There are so many karaōke places down GG that this place is just not worth it to me. Their music selection is super old school. there isn’t any new songs or Top hits on the radio like Ding Dong Dang has and they don’t have that many rooms either. This place is more of a bar with some karoake rooms than the other way around. I would not come back here unless it was for a special occasion again. I will just stick to my usual spots down Garden Grove. Sorry Road King. but I’ve experienced better.

If you are looking for a place to drink and eat some decent Korean food, you came to the right place at Road King. Road King is a Kareoke/Bar joint that is located between La Palma and Cypress. They offer a number of Korean drinks here including korean beers and soju. We came here with a party of 15 to celebrate one of our friend’s bday. We were placed into their banquet room that has a good number of spaces and a big screen tv for kareoke. This was my second time coming to Road King and like my first, I wasnt quite impress with the place itself. It looks like a beat down bar with limited seatings for their customers. I’m not so sure on how I would rate their food considering it was a kareoke/bar joint, but their food was only consider decent in my standards. Maybe I’m being too rough on the ratings of Road King, but I feel that they can definitely do better with their décor and even higher more staff rather than just having one person serving every room and tables. Nice place to grab a few drinks and sing karaōke with your friends, but other than that I wouldn’t really come back here for anything else.

Forget the other reviews. This place is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a dive bar in the middle of nowhere, right off the 91 Freeway. They have great Korean service, great Korean food and cheap drinks. As simple as that.

Love their happy hour! Mon-fri 10pm to 12am… Sat…ALLDAY! Buy 1 pitcher and 2nd one half price Buy 1 soju and 2nd one for $ 2! +moreeee Their service is pretty fast unless they’re super busy but that’s understandable… Their food is well priced and goes well with the alcohol they serve :) They even have a karaōke room if you want to start singing! No need to relocate hahah! AWESOME!

Found my new go-to spot for budaejjigae! One of the best I’ve ever had(including LA). It’s not just hot dog sausages and spam like the many other places serve. Never had bacon in it before, I’m stealing that idea for sure. Hahha The only bad part is they’ve ruined buddaejjigae every else for me. Lol What a good start to a Friday night!

Look, I don’t expect much from korean bars like this, especially from the ones in the OC. I’ve been here several times before, and it was always what I expected. A dim lit drinking hole with semi-cheap liquor and average korean food. But I came here last weekend, and literally got pissed off at the trash they tried to serve us and the insulting service we received. All I wanted was some decent food to accompany the soju that we were drinking. We ordered the omellete rice and donkatsu, thinking that they would be safe choices. The omellete rice was not very good and the donkatsu that they brought out was rancid. It was fried in oil that must have been several months old, and I nearly threw up after the first bite. And to think that they reuse this same oil for all their other fried foods, really makes me question their health standards. Stop being a cheapskate and change the damn oil. It doesn’t cost that much. But after telling the waitress about the obvious issue, she offered no apology and didn’t even ask if we wanted something else. She just walked away. Then, as we were stil hungry, we ordered another dish that was not fried. That dish never came out at all. But even worse, they still charged us for the dish that we never received. Again, no apology. I’m a pretty patient person, and I really don’t like writing bad reveiws. I have owned a small restaurant myself, so I understand how hard it is to run a food service business without any issues. But the service here was just lazy and the food quality was horrible. And honestly, I don’t think they care, because young gangster wannabee korean kids will continue to come here and eat their sub-par food. So whatever. But if you need to come to a korean drinking place like this, take yourself over to Phinggye or Past Memories instead. At least the food is edible there.

This place is a very good place to chill with your friends. It’s not expensive either. Happy Hour is from 10PM-12AM. I go here so much the ladies that work here know me. They’re SUPER nice. It’s not a big place, but it’s like the right size. It can get pretty loud, but not too loud to the point where you can’t hear each other. Try it outttt!
