Midstate Jumpers

We rented a bounce house for our daughter’s birthday party that was supposed to start at ten. I spoke with Midstate jumpers this morning and we agreed they would show up at 9:30 so they were set up before guests arrived. They did not show up until 5 minutes after ten. We even had guests asking if they had messed up on the correct time for the party to start. The bounce house itself was nice enough and clean enough. The delivery drivers were nice and efficient. My major issue with this company is the delivery fee of $ 40.00 that I was charged. At no time during any of the three phone conversation I had with the owner Bill, was a delivery fee mentioned. The website has a FAQ page in which it is stated that a delivery fee MAY be charged for areas further out, but it does not specify. On another page of their website it specifically says they deliver to Bend (where the party was) and again, does not mention a delivery fee. When I contacted the owner regarding this issue, his only response was «Well, then I guess I have to apologize to you. But that’s the way things are done» that was it, no desire whatsoever to do the right thing and refund the $ 40.00. Had I known they were going to charge me that, I would have found a rental place that was closer to Bend. I have a six year old son who’s birthday is in March. We will definitely not be getting a bounce house from these people! And whatever you do, don’t rent their generators. They have a $ 50.00 price tag, but we rented a very quiet machine from Central Oregon Rentals for $ 15.00.
