Main Street Grill

Every time I try to eat here, you walk in and NO ONE greets you. The staff just looks at you and keeps walking around. (Unless they know you) Then, If you get to sit at a table it takes for ever for some one to take your order. They always seem to forget what you order or put in the wrong ticket and bring out the wrong food. One time I ordered chicken strips and it came out tasting like fried fish! :-(They ALWAYS forget to bring out sauces that you order. One time I came in and sat down and no one even came to take our drink order for 15 min and the place was almost empty… so we just left. I would give this place no stars if I could.

There should be an option for no stars… Tried to get lunch here today at 11:25am. The sign on the door says they open at 11am, employees inside, door locked. At least put a sign up.

Fatty’s Main Street Grill is set up on the edge of old-​town LaPlace. By the look of things, it can’t have been opened for more than a few months or so (not positive, though). Things that are made loud and clear — large menu variety, large portions, and scrumptiously fattening.
A pretty extensive menu features all of the southern American favorites — fried foods galore, burgers, and seafood. The fry chef is outstanding… consistently chalking up perfectly cooked dishes with just enough grease, great batter, and no overcooking. A full bar and connected adult lounge only helps the cause.
Overall, well worth the trip. There are lots of televisions on which to watch the games, even in the main dining area. Available parking is limited on the premises, but a fair-​sized parking lot across the street is available.
