This place has honestly the best sushi in town on this side of the valley that I know of. It gets very busy and is very trendy but just call ahead to see if it’ll work into ur schd. Go. Drink, eat, and be merry with good food. Take out is a great option as well!

Bf and I usually visit every Tuesday evening. Love love love this spot. Being from Alaska, I know good fish, and Okura never fails. Will always come back. Bf and I always order the same, oyster shooters, ebi, kappa maki, Okura tempura, James Dean, Baked Alaskan, Uni, and Tuna tempura roll. For people that complain about wait time on meals, its a popular spot… What do you expect!!! Completely worth the wait! Thankyou Mr. And Mrs. Lee!

Let me just start by saying the food is always on point and for a great price. What makes the food even better however is the fact that the service is also 5 Star. I went to dinner with some friends several months ago. I accidentally left my hat that evening. When I went back for dinner this last evening guess what I got back… That’s right my hat. So I would like to thank the staff for there awesome service and attention to detail.

BESTSUSHIINTHEVALLEY! ALLYOUCANEAT! May be a little pricey but it is definitely worth it. We are regulars here and so are all of our family and friends. The sushi is always insanely fresh and the service is great. Lately it has been a little slow becuase how crowded it is around but they try their best and they are always apologetic when they are running behind. We are coming back for valentines day this weekend, looking forward to some more great Food!!!

This place was good to go. Salmon sashimi was fantastic. Miso soup was good. Service was great as well. I visited from San Diego so I don’t think it was pricey at all. All relative. Definitely worth checking out. It was busy on a Monday night!

One star for HORRIBLE service. We were seated outside and our waitress didn’t even offer us water or give us menus. We waited 20 minutes until we flagged down another server. We finally got our menus and water nearly half an hour after getting seated. We sat and waited for our waitress to come back for our orders. She never did, so we flagged down another server passing by and asked if we could order. 45 minutes later, another server came by and said he was sorry about the confusion, but we were starving by that point and ready to order. When we gave him our order, he said that it would take at least 45 minutes for the order. That was when we decided to leave and all he offered us was free drinks. This place may have decent food but the owners definitely need to work on improving their service!

This past Sunday was a mess for this restaurant. Guests yelling at manager. Wait for any food was in the 45 – 90 minute range. I wished I could comment on the food but we left before we got anything of substance. This place simply mismanaged that particular night.

Happy Hour is great here. Very reasonable prices for sushi and rolls. Come early though, they get busy. Happy hour is between 4:30 — 6:30pm.

I’ve been here twice and both times it has been great. I have tried their beef carpaccio, Marilyn Monroe roll, jalapeño bomb(delicious) and some other rolls. The food is great, it is the service however, that is a big problem. A gentleman came to get our order once for drinks and that was it. Each time we needed something we had to flag someone down. Our food also took a ridiculous amount of time to arrive(20min+). Watching others get their food after we had been there long before them was very annoying. Until I find something better and just as close, I’ll continue to come here when I want sushi.

Delicious! Pricey compared to most AYCE sushi places I’ve been to(about $ 32 a person) but it definitely was delicious and worth it. Came with a party of 6 so it took about a half hour wait. Loved the setting and ambiance. Very nice and classy, dim lit, great for romantic dinners or large parties. Every roll we got was extremely delicious! The baked rolls were the best! Also enjoyed the Marilyn Monroe roll and all the other ones with cool names, lol. Also ordered sake bombs which made everything taste amazing lol. Our server was very helpful and friendly. It was a first time at an AYCE for our friends so he helped us help them understand how much we should order because they were putting random numbers down for every roll and we almost ordered 400 rolls! Thank goodness he stopped us or else we would’ve wasted so much food and would have been charged a lot extra too. Overall, I totally recommend this place. 4 stars instead of 5 just because I do think it’s a bit too pricey. It’s a great place but I normally do not pay over $ 25 for AYCE and those places already have amazing sushi rolls that do compare.

The food here has potential, though we have had bad fish at Okura more than once. Super gross! The service isn’t great either. DH and I have been here probably at least once a month, whether on a date, or with friends, over the last couple of years. What my husband and I recently decided is for the price, we’d rather eat at Ruth’s Chris or Morton’s. You might say I’m comparing apples to oranges, the thing is there isn’t a sushi place around with anywhere near the same prices. Hostess staff is great, not really what you go to a restaurant for, though… Our average check for 2 people(for reference): Take out: $ 80 Dine in: $ 140

This is the new sushi spot that’s for sure! It’s hard to find good sushi in the desert but happy to have stumbled upon this place. Décor: 5 stars, very hip little bar and restaurant. To the left is the bar area which is great for happy hour. Straight ahead is the sushi bar and limited tables to the right. Came here on a Monday night and it was packed! Happy hour is where it is at, place is a little pricey(hence why happy hour is so popular) and the place gets busy around those hours. Anyways cute décor very hip and clean. Sushi: great sushi, better quality sushi also then you’ll find in the area. Everything was extremely fresh. From the happy hour menu I ordered the spicy California roll, basically a California roll with spicy mayo on top but to be honest it was very very good! Also the dynamite shrimp was a fan favorite at the table, would highly recommend. Service: 3 star, it was a busy busy night but we did feel over looked by our waitress, it could have just been her bc I saw other tables that were receiving faster service. Again probably due to how crowded this place was I understand how it took awhile to get our food. I’ll definitely be back but be mindful of those busy nights.

The protein roll was awesome — four thumbs up! My husband and I devoured it within minutes!!! Totally recommend it! The hamachi jalapeño roll was good, just not a fan of siracha sauce(I know, sorry, processed flavor) and honestly I prefer sashimi over rolls. That said, I’d definitely order a protein roll next time we are in town!

The food was great and the value of all you can eat was nice, getting hamachi or salmon carpachio is essentially sushimi. The service was also great considering how busy it was. The one thing that bothered us… The sushi bar has a glass display as most sushi places do, but this display had plastic wrapped zucinni, onions, bell peppers, and potatoes. It made no sense and just… Why? That is the only negative thing I have to say though.

Service: Mixed bag. They come by every 2 minutes to clear empty plates. Often it would be as you are taking your last bite. They got an order wrong(tuna nigiri vs tuna roll) and it easily took 20 minutes to correct it. Food: Just ok when you take into account the very high prices. The fish wasn’t the best, was tough at times. The rice for the sushi was dry and very starchy. For the price, these are basics that should be right

I’ve probably been to Okura 4 times. One time we did the All You Can Eat sushi deal and it was glorious! I keep trying to do it again, but I get gun shy once in the restaurant. Most recently came to Okura the night before Thanksgiving. I’m THANKFUL we arrived super early(around 4:45) and found a table at the bar. Within 20 minutes the place was PACKED. Thanksgiving is a super popular week in the desert, so you gotta be strategic when you leave your house! Three of us sat at a high top in the bar and ordered off the HH menu. We got a TON of food and drinks(Lychee martini for moi, beer for the bae, wine for my mom) and it was like $ 100 or something ridiculously cheap, considering how much we consumed. The spicy tuna thing was amazing, and the rolls were good, not the best I’ve had. The tempura was delicious, we actually ordered another one after the first! Reminds me of when I was a kid and all I would get at sushi places was shrimp tempura and also avocado rolls #TakeMeBack! I’m a big fan of this place, so definitely check it out next time your’e in the desert!

The food was amazing but the service was awful. We waited 40 min for our sushi order and three other tables sat down after us and received their food first. Our server told us that the kitchen was backed up and kept telling us that it was almost ready. Just be warned about the service here.

Came here on a Saturday night and was able to get a table as soon as we walked in. The only problem as wait time to eat. We sat in the bar area near the door and witnessed a lot of people complain about the wait for food. That got us a little scared of how long we were to wait for our sushi. We ordered a couple starters like water, soda, miso soup and tea. That came out really fast and then it came time to order our main entrees we all ordered some sort of sushi dish. It probably took about ½ hour between the time we got our starters to get our sushi. The people waiting for togo orders seemed to get a bit antsy as well as the host kept telling them the food will be out in 10 minutes. In short all I can say is that the food was very good the service may be another case. So if you are short on time I would not recommend to come here on a Saturday night. But come if you like good Japanese food and sushi.

We tried this place since it is next door to our favorite cigar lounge. We arrived just as they opened and the place filled up fast! Service was spot on and we had our dinners in no time. We tried the Sashimi Sampler which is 18 pieces of super fresh Sashimi and the Bento Box. This was outstanding as well. Great place and a good time. Would recommend.

I’ve been here a couple of times now and both for happy hour. Each time was a great experience. The HH menu is extensive and the cocktails are good! Fish tastes fresh and I’m a big uni fan(not on HH) so it’s a great sign that they’ve had fresh uni each time I’ve visited. I’ll be back for sure to try the AYCE option!
