Our first stay at The Orchard was the week of July 8, 2013, with our kids and grandkids from Las Vegas. The place was fantastic — comfortable, well furnished, fully stocked, and clean as a whistle — and the grounds are well maintained. We found the owners to be knowledgeable, efficient, helpful, and pleasant. This place is close to everything. It is a beautiful 20 minute drive to the entrance to the Zion National Park; only about a 15 minute drive to Quail Creek State Park or Sand Hollow State Park, and a 10 minute drive to Grandpa’s Pond. Our grandsons loved fishing from the dock at Grandpa’s Pond, tubing down the Virgin River and seeing all of the fantastic rock formations in Zion and Bryce Canyons. Our favorite place to eat turned out to be Arkansas Al’s Steak House in the Majestic View Lodge between The Orchard and the entrance to Zion. We did our original food stocking at the Wal-Mart Super Store in Hurricane(about a 10 minute drive from The Orchard) and did our restocking at The Farmers Market in La Verkin. We celebrated my 72nd birthday at The Orchard. Fantastic. We loved our stay at The Orchard, and will certainly return!
