Legacy House

I was an employee and I must say that this is a wonderful house for assisted living care. The owner Lynn Chalifoux has always been very open and honest with me and the other staff. She cares about the residents and makes sure she goes the extra mile to make them happy. I wasn’t employed here when the other reviewer father was, that gave 1 star. But the staff I worked with cares a great deal for the residents and because of that the atmosphere is a happy one. The food is cooked fresh daily and made to the clients liking, with diets taken into consideration. I am moving, so that is why I wont be working here anymore but I will really miss the residents and staff who have become like my extended family.

I ask anyone thinking of placing a loved one here to reconsider.
My father was here for several months while suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. We felt the owner Lynn, over promises and under delivers from food to customer service and smiles through clenched teeth. A couple of the staff are decent, but often unprofessional. They openly talk about how hard their job is, how hard scheduling is, how hot it is inside, rarely say things with a smile, and are just not gentle. It’s not great to hear from the person taking care of your loved one how difficult it is. It’s as if they are incapable of a certain level of customer service and everyone seems unhappy at some level, which usually is the result of bad management! aka Lynn and Ralph. We couldn’t get my father out of there fast enough.
The only positives we got out of this wreck is that it gave us the ability to contrast it with the next house and realize how lucky we were to have moved him and find the place we did.

I feel very fortunate that my sister and I found Legacy House when we were looking for assisted living care for our mother. Professional, clean, well run, it’s the strong feeling of «home» that sold us. Family-​like caring by CNA’s in a loving non-​institutional atmosphere. They’ve made our mom happy and greatly improved the quality of her life. Good food, attractive house and garden. Highly recommended.

A family friendly, caring, warm and comfortable place to call «home». My mom is coming up on her 1 year anniversary at Legacy House, and I don’t think we could have found a more perfect place for her. Mom is still sharp as a tack at age 93+ but needed assisted living. Legacy House was the perfect answer, as opposed to those large «retirement homes». The staff ratio is excellent at Legacy House, 1 staff member for every four residents and staff is friendly and compassionate. We especially like their large back yard with shady seating under a huge tree — its as close to living at home as one can get.
