Racists. Do not come here. Hair found in food and we were missing parts of our order. They tried not to refund our money and made it difficult while being sarcastic. Our poor 3 children were hungry and couldnt eat. The racist spanish manager wear glasses with his hair comb back indirectly made fun of us and belittled us. Hope their shut down. The bite of food we did taste was aweful. Filing several complaints and even suing.

Delicious food served in generous portions. The service is very attentive. You definitely won’t leave hungry! If you eat gluten free, try the GF pancakes & waffles. It’s so great to be able to have fluffy pancakes again. And the staff doesn’t mind food allergy requests: for example, leaving the butter off pancakes or the cheese off a chicken dish. Highly recommended.

So glad to have ended here today after our long hike. Unfortunately, our order was a bit wrong because we happened to get the new waitress as our server but outside of that– The establishment is well maintained, all the employees are attentive, and the food is great. Ordered the Garden Burger with their delicious thick fries, and a scoop of ice cream. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Only wish there was one in my area.

We went for lunch on Mother’s Day and got seated right away while our other family members waited up to 45 minutes for a table at a chain restaurant. Their loss. I got a nice breakfast with generous portions. My husband tried the chili cheese fries and a club sandwich and was also very pleased. Our server Rachel was busy tending several tables but kept our drinks refilled and checked up on us often while helping other servers as well. Good food, nice environment. We will definitely be back!

Really yummy breakfast! Got the Ortega omelette and the vegetables were really fresh– delicious! Potatoes were really good too. Carol was our server and she was great– even with our special allergy requests! Plus my son loved it!

Second time here, first time, food was excellent, service was kinda weak… This time service is much better, food is okay not excellent, but this time we are being attacked by these Flys or some type of flying insect as we eat, they are all over us as we eat… Brought it to my servers attention, she asked if we wanted to move, as we are eating, which with two young kids that’s not going to happen, but goes on and makes excuses saying the patio must of been open and Flys came in, which is crap, like don’t make excuses, how bout taking ur rag and remove some of this insect crap attacking us… MrD, I would highly recommend getting a maintenance contract on some preventative insect control, before someone more aggravated than me, goes and gets the health department sniffing up your butt… This is LaVerne, we are all bougie that reside here and expect cleanliness and service first and foremost before tricking off our hard earned money… If I want bugs when I eat, I will eat somewhere in the ghetto, not here.

Good service, terrible food… Way too much salt! Portions were large but the taste was nothing but salt. My wife had the fish and chips and she said it was way too salty. I had the Mr D’s skillet with chicken and all I tasted was salt…

The food was great! We ordered the chili cheese fries, Ortega burger & Cowboy burger(huge). Everything was so good. The chili tasted home made. The burger patties were good quality beef & char grilled. We ended up taking most of the fries home. I can’t wait to come back for breakfast, which I think they serve all day.

I am from the northeast(New Jersey) and I have to say, this place really looks and feels like a northeastern diner(except the people serving you are smiling… yeah, I’m ducking saying that…). There’s a 50s-style mural of the diner and Rte. 66 with a California sunset and it STILL feels like a northeastern diner. If you’re missing the experience, you really need to go. The selections are very traditionally diner-ish as well, and not only is there plenty to choose from, unless you have the gastrointestinal fortitude of a Viking you’ll never be able to finish the amounts they serve. I have a big appetite and so can my children depending upon the food, including«bad» foods like French fries, and we definitely took food home. We got substitutions easily. I ordered an eggwhite omelet rather than whole eggs. There was no upcharge although I believe they must have used more than four whites(four whole eggs are normally used) as this thing was huge. My son was able to get a gluten-free pancake with his eggs. This is GREAT, as we are always on the hunt for gluten-free items for him. We were just going to skip the pancake for him and we told the waitress it was because our son was GF. That’s when she told us about the GF option. That was a dollar more, but that wasn’t really unexpected and a dollar was really not going to break the bank. My husband got an omelet as well. He and my son said the pancakes were amazing and by the way, these things were HUGE. My other son got the chicken and fries. The fries were cut large, like steak fries, and he said the chicken was great. It was a kid’s meal but again… lots of food. There was no way he was going to finish the whole thing, but he certainly enjoyed trying. I had been told that the coffee is good here. It is. It’s not Starbucks but it’s very good, hearty and fresh. The service was very good. Our server was very attentive, came over several times to top us off on drinks and ask us whether everything was okay, etc. We had no wait at all, really. As far as waiting for the food to come, that was pretty fast as well. Prices are fine, pretty much as expected. Give this place a try — you won’t be disappointed.

Been going here for a couple years now and usually for breakfast. Today we came for lunch. I ordered the Roast Beef Melt and the BF ordered the Black Jack Burger. Both portions were bigger than expected.(but that’s what we expect when we order anything from here). We both only ate half for lunch. Mr D’s never disappoints. Service is always with a smile and the place is always buzzing. Nostalgic diner feel, with the service and ambiance to match. Always a happy customer! Be sure to check out their strawberry crepes and country fried steak for any meal of the day.

Awesomeness! Large proportion servings, great service in a diner setting. If you’re a Hat regular, for pastrami sandwiches, then the Pastrami Melt is for you; besides a generous portion of pastrami on grilled rye with mustard & pickles, there is a side of seasoned French Fries and a cup of soup. So, for about eighty cents more than a Hat sandwich you get a complete meal. If you are traveling from out of town, your dog can join you on their covered patio area. Make Mr. D’s your next stop along Route 66!

Mr. D’s never lets us down. Came in right at lunch and didn’t have to wait at all and the place had a lot of seated customers. They have plenty of staff covering the entire restaurant. Our server was Stephanie and she was AWESOME!!! Lloyd ordered the Chicken & Spinach salad with honey mustard dressing. It was huge and very TASTY. I had the Chicken Marsala and OMG!!! I’m convinced it’s the best thing I have ever eaten! So much flavor and the balance of all the ingredients was perfect. The chicken was cooked perfect! We will be back soon.

The place was crowed !! We didn’t have to wait long at all. I had the French Toast with scramble eggs and bacon. My order was tasty and eggs were cook just right and the bacon crisp. My partner had the Ham and Cheese Omelet with country potatoes. The Omelet was excellent. The Country Potatoes was fresh. We will return. Staff was very professional.

I was seriously impressed with the deliciousness of the food, here at Mr. D’s. I ordered the Californian, substituted with egg whites, and a side of fruit with toast. Oh SO good! My husband ordered a skillet and I was so happy that I could pick the potatoes off it because they were incredibly tasty as well. I was doing a lot of picking off people’s plates that day, and my son was not excluded. I tried some of his pancake and all I had to say was YUM! Seriously, there’s not much more I can say about the food, other than maybe, TRYIT! Service was EXCELLENT! Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful and we were seated promptly. No complaints here. Prices were reasonable too. Our bill was $ 49(tip included) for the 4 of us(though the baby didn’t eat). Not bad. Overall, I’ll probably be returning, if in the area.
