College Point Apts

I lived in this location for a whole year (2010 – 2011), and it was quite an experience. I have to admit that looking for an apartment on your own can be quite the task, and this staff made it care free for me.

, then I found out a lil later that my brother had lived in this location as well previously and has but good reviews about this apartment complex. So with that said, I decided to tour the facilities and make an informed decision.
The apartment complex (just like any other), can use some improvement in the landscaping (but you have to take into account that this property has a lot of trees and it’s hard to keep up with!), the staff was awesome (even at first!) and friendly, their maintenance staff were friendly (at least with me) and took care of the requests in a timely manner, and the apartment itself (considering that it was just me and my doggy) was great with a very affordable price (yes, even with a pet deposit and a regular deposit, it wasn’t steep and I appreciated that since I’m on my own with NO ROOMATES)!
When I first moved in to the apartment after signing the lease I did the walk through and got everything on film, and all the things that needed to be fixed were fixed within a week of me signing the lease (before I actually moved into the apartment). The person that used to live there previously, apparently (I’m using this word with extreme caution) cleaned «well» the apartment and left it ready for the next person (me). Me, being as picky as I am, utilized the week prior to moving in to clean thoroughly and found that the last person did a very poor job cleaning the place and the staff didn’t quite notice because the «clean» was only superficial (and this is why I’m giving this place a 4 stars instead of 5). Other than that, the space of the apartment was great (I rented a 2 – 1) and well distributed for the square footage and the price! The carpets were clean, I was allowed to make use of my own washer & dryer instead of the ones they provided within the unit (of course you have to provide evidence of your Renter’s Insurance — obviously!), the kitchen had a lot of cabinet space and a big pantry (yes, it was a little dated, but I really don’t care because it accomplished the same tasks!), the bathroom was comfortable enough for one person (even though I HATED that squeaky sound every single time I took a shower! Plus, I would’ve loved to have a linens closet!!!), and the bedrooms were a good size (to include the closet space!) and I could fit a queen size bedroom set comfortably without any problems (have in mind that my bedroom set was an average size — which is not too big nor too small). The laundry was spacious with a lot of space to put things on «top» of the washer & dryer, and the fireplace was a joy to have on those cold winter nights!!! Include to the facts that there’s a pool in the complex for those hot days and a hot tub inside the community facility, all with a great space for activities and a fitness room! I think that the only thing this place needs is a play area for children since a lot of families live in this complex… there’s a lot of military personnel in this complex which is great!
I really can’t complain about the staff, service, or the price of this apartment complex. In comparison to many other places, this complex has a lot of amenities to offer that are not offered around the same area for the same price. The prices in this complex are great for the space you’re getting and you don’t have to take a loan for the deposit! I highly recomment this apartment complex, I will surely rent here if I ever had the need to look for a place to rent again!!!
