This place has decent rolls. I wouldn’t necessarily come here for the straight up sushi but the rolls are pretty good. There was a roll in particular that had seared crab meat on top which was particularly good. You have to keep in mind that this is a bit of Americanized sushi so the rolls are gigantic and filled with mayo. But if you enjoy a more inventive roll and are not just coming for fresh fish alone and good rice, this place may hit the spot.

Disgusting. The tuna I ate literally made me get up from my table, go the restroom and vomit. Worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life.

My husband took me here for my birthday because I love sushi. I was expecting delicious sushi and what I was served looked like a 4th grade art project. The rice was absolutely terrible. It was soggy and not seasoned right which means that it didn’t adhere to the seaweed. To make things worse the fish was NOT fresh, and one of our sushi rolls was not even cut. The sushi chef cut our roll but didn’t even try to apologize and we were basically ignored by our waitress because my husband had to approach the chef himself. It was also expensive to add insult to injury. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

okay, this is a review of a sushi place, not of bento boxes. yes. the all you can eat sushi deal. amazing. beware though — if you don’t finish a roll you pay full price for it. the rolls are tasty, fresh fish, big portions. way better than the koibito on the westside for sure.

this place is great. i am an avid sushi fan and an avid maki fan. so when i moved here i thought I would find a good local sushi place. so i went with the obvious ones. and all were incredibly unsatisfying especially for the price! this place on the other hand along with the great customer service had great maki. my favorites are the volcano roll(which is a cooked roll with crab and many fresh scallops) and any rolls with eel. well done! the all-you-can-eat is a fantastic deal! it includes many good rolls and includes a tasty seaweed salad, miso soup, and beverage. this is the place to have an economic and tasty date! it is never crowded as well and isn’t all snobby.

Driving by the Clarion, it appears that the underwhelming Koibito«Seaworld» is no more. The Umi Sushi Bar and Grill has taken its place. Walking in, however, the underwhelming Koibito«Seaworld» hasn’t left in spirit… I think the only thing they changed is the sign out front. This isn’t much of an exaggeration. Food tasted exactly the same. Like before, the bento box came with a salad loaded with thousand island dressing, somewhat undercooked tempura prawns that leave a little chewy batter kind of taste in your mouth(not as bas as it sounds), and standard chicken teriyaki. Just like before, it costs $ 1 to make your food spicy. Just like before, sushi was better than the Westside Koibito and not as good as the Lacey one. The one change I did notice — they added a $ 21 all you can eat deal on select rolls between the hours of 4PM and 8PM Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
