This is another Applebee’s restaurant that disappointments me. Our drinks came fast considering it was nearly a full house. Also, our server was quiet, he wasn’t enthusiastic. Another thing, two meals were given while we had to wait at least 15 or so minutes for the rest of our party. From there, I asked numerous waitresses for water and none of them gave them to us. When the rest of us got our food we haven’t heard from our waiter/waitresses. Just because it was busy, isn’t an excuse for bad service, because I also work in the restaurant business.

We haven’t been to Applebee’s in years and couldn’t remember why so we stopped in last night. On a busy night(Leesburg Bikefest) it was the only restaurant in the whole area without a line! Oh well I had enchiladas the wife had steak and shrimp. The portions were very small and didn’t include any sides. My rice with the enchiladas tasted like grade school Spanish Rice(I couldn’t finish it). My very slender wife came home and heated up left overs from last night! The tab was $ 46 with tip and we don’t drink! We each had coffee. The coffee was good the meal way over priced. Now we know why we haven’t been in so long and why there were no lines.

All I wanted was a mushroom and swiss burger cooked medium. The fries were old, stale, chewy overall, unfit to eat. There were NO mushrooms at all that I could see! I found what may have been the equivalent of one mushroom slice all broken up UNDER the cheese! WTF!!!

I like to go to Apple Bee’s for happy hour and the two for $ 25 deal. My husband and I usually get the steak with mash and broccoli for $ 25 and enjoy some drinks and maybe some appetizers depending on how hungry we are(they are half price during happy hour). I like the Bahama mama drink which during happy hour is only 3 bucks. You can’t beat that. We’ve always received good service at the bar area so no complaints. We’ve been Apple Bee patrons for many years and the only bad experience we ever had was at the one in Tavares so we never gone to that one again. I like the one in Lady Lake and since is the one closest to us, we will continue to go there.

Normally I’d never leave our local Applebee’s a 3-star rating, but since«the change» that happened near the beginning of 2015, there really hasn’t been much of a reason to go back. The drinks used to be good, mildly strong and tasty. Now they just taste like overly-sweet Kool-Aid with a splash of alcohol. Seeing as I’m vegetarian, I used to order this nicely proportioned plate of nachos with salsa, queso blanco, pico de gallo, sour cream, beans, lettuce, cheese, and jalapenos. Now they have some piss-poor excuse for nachos that only has about half of the ingredients. We used to haul anywhere between 7 and 16 people to Applebee’s from Sam’s Club right down the road after work just to drink, eat, and gossip. Recently, though, we’ve taken to hanging out in a bowling alley instead. At least their drinks are still worth it. Yousef, the store manager, or at least one of them, has always been the most welcoming person in that building, even when he’s chiding me for«accompanying my less-wary victims to dinner.» He’s an awesome individual. However, even he can’t put in an over-ride order for my old nachos like he used to. (Side note: If you ever need to truly talk to anyone about anything that has happened inside this Applebee’s with which you take issue, or even if just to compliment them, Yousef is your man. He should be given some sort of saint-like title. I’ve seen him deal with the nastiest of «Villagers» and maintain a supernatural calmness, as well as quell the situation and offer remedy. [If Yousef is reading this, this is your curly-haired friend from Sam’s Club]) «The Change» began when they did an overhaul of the store itself and the menu as well. I doubt many people like to frequent a place where the menu is never stable. When your customers become accustomed to something, it’s generally not a good idea to pull the rug out from under them. Yeah, they may have gotten visually flashier, but the food has lost its zing and the drinks have been watered down. Also, as others have said, the staff is perfectly okay nagging and complaining at each other in front of customers, especially at the host stand. Servers will come up and start ranting about how they just asked not to be seated anymore and the servers, understandably, have to tell them that theirs was the only seat available. Yes, they might need to hash things out, but in front of a waiting customer is not the place to do it. I still might swing by on an odd-night-out, but Applebee’s has lost its place as one of my go-to restaurant stops.

Our server Allee was not very friendly at all. She seemed impatient and in an enormous hurry. She dropped our food at the table and pivoted to leave before we could ask her to bring something else. She grabbed our plates to remove them without asking«are you done?». not once but several times. Seemed like«don’t let the door hit you in the ass». NOT a good dining experience. My mom who was with me said“this is why my friends don’t like to come here”. The manager, Yousef, was apologetic and we may stop in to give them another chance in the future…

I’ll probably get blasted but if you want a quiet dinner don’t go to this Applebee’s on a Friday night. A DJ/karaōke with blaring music was not enjoyable to me. My food took forever(the maple bacon chicken piadini) and was cold, the ice tea skunky tasting.

Applebee’s has a new look. Megan helped us. Not bad because this place hit or miss. Most times miss. This time hit. Maybe new look means better service. But this little girl tried hard. So bravo to Applebee’s new look.

The new décor is really nice. The lighting was nice. The food was very tasty. They give pretty big portions. The half size oriental chicken salad was huge! Wait staff was upbeat and nice. Our girl was pretty quick about the drinks and had a reAlly good personality.

Came in for late night food, waited 30+ minutes for a drink. Food came out before drinks and was never even offered a water. Server was nice about it, but was arguing with other servers in front of us. We would defiantly go somewhere else but there’s nothing open at 11 in this town.

My wife and I recently had dinner at this Applebee’s. We ordered the 2 for $ 20.00 which included 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. We had the Grilled Chicken Wonton Tacos and then the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp and it was out of this world. Try it you’ll like it.

So I have been to this Applebee’s location twice while on business and there is nothing that makes it stand out. Both times the waitresses have been nice but take forever to come around with the check. Also, the hostesses in the front aren’t very friendly. They sit around talking and during my most recent visit someone ran over to the podium and asked the hostess for crackers because her mother was having some sort of reaction to the food and she walked to the kitchen with no sense of urgency and didn’t even go by the table to check and see if they were okay or if they needed anything else. Poor customer service/people skills on her behalf and that totally irks me. I don’t think I’ll be coming back and if I do I’ll get car side.

Not the best Applebee’s we have been to. My «club grill» was soggy mush on the bottom and the fries had been under a heat lamp for too long… Not sure why I didn’t send it back.

I love the casadia burger, that’s all I seem to get but I know the rest of the menu is good because my lovely wife(she makes me type that) eats everything on it at least once and never complains, and trust me she would if it was bad.

Pretty good tonight. Had the new Sizzling N’awlins Skillet. Pretty good with sausage, chicken, shrimp over rice with slivered almonds and a spicey pepper and onion sauce. Excellent. Although a chain, they seem to always find some very good tasty dishes for me. Service at this Applebee’s has always been pretty good.
