Not only will Summer Albin at Primp Salon make you LOOK fabulous but you’ll FEEL fabulous too. Summer is not only a talented wizard with hair but she makes the whole experience fun. One of the best things about her is she ALWAYS has a great idea of what I should do with my hair when I’m stumped but never pushes her own agenda. She really listens. Plus Primp Salon has such a cute décor and great location. LOVE going to Summer for my hair — highly recommend!

I have very curly, but fine, hair that can be difficult to cut correctly. Summer Albin has been cutting my hair for 8 years, and she has a wonderful eye for the line and shape that makes my hair come alive. Summer recently took about 8 inches off my hair and completely transformed it from dry and lifeless to curly, modern, and fabulous! She also specializes in taking a natural, holistic approach to haircare, using organic products, and throwing in a coma-​inducing head massage that can’t be beat. I can’t recommend Summer Albin enough as an all around talented haircare professional… and she is a pleasure to talk to!

So… my wife loves to stretch out of the box with her hair styles and color. Stephanie has been her stylist for over 13 years! I never know what to expect and I’ve never had a complaint. (if that really matters to my wife, her hair is one of her expression)…always classy!

I have been seeing Teri since October of 2014. She impressed me immediately at the first consultation. I have hair loss problems and Teri had extensive knowledge and experience with this type of condition.
She offered great advice and suggestions as to how to deal with my condition .
Teri uses gentle products and has a gentle touch as well when she works with my hair and the results are wonderful.
Teri also introduced me to shampoos and conditioners that give my hair much needed body without drying out my scalp.
I would highly recommend Teri for anyone who is looking for an experienced, professional and caring hair stylist!

Julie did a fabulous job! I called and they were able to make an appointment the same day because she had a cancellation, so that was great! The salon has a really laid back, comfortable vibe and has cool decorations from different thrift shops, as Julie told me. They also played really relaxing music rather than Top 40 and I could see that each stylist had their own personalized business cards at their stations — it’s really nice to see a place that makes an effort to be unique.
As for the haircut, it was beautiful! Julie was really friendly and did exactly what I asked while also putting her own personal spin on it. You could tell that she was having fun with it, which is great to see. I’ve been to salons where they either do what you say just to make you happy even if it’s damaging to your hair or doesn’t work for you, or other places that just completely tell you what you want is wrong and make you change your mind about the whole thing — Julie is the perfect balance in between. She likes yours ideas, and gives you helpful tips about what else you could do or how to change up the style you’re going for.
Admittedly, I was a little intimidated to come here because I’m pretty young and a little frumpy, and this place looked so stylish and mature, but the fashionable women there were so friendly and welcoming, it was very easy to get comfortable. Amazing place, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Teri Shmitz is a gifted stylist! I go to her for cuts, color/​highlights, AND extensions. Every time I get my hair done with her I feel like a new woman, and EVERYBODY complements me on it. People ask me if I just got my hair done even two weeks after she does it! I love her and the salon. It is a wonderful environment:)

This place is SO great. I was a walk-​in (called that morning and they fit me in for an evening appt) and the salon/​experience totally surpassed my expectations. Stephanie is a gem and went above and beyond. I went in thinking I just wanted a trim, but she took the time to really evaluate my hair for about 10 min, and then together we decided on something else that was even better. She gave me great advice and a style that really fit my face shape and complemented my hairline. She is also so sweet and personable. The salon is beautiful and there is a cute & fun vibe. I will definitely be back!

Courtney Salmon has been coloring my hair for over 7 years now and she is the BEST EVER! Can not say enough about her coloring skills, they are mad!

I have been going to traci for years and am always happy with her cut, coloring, and style suggestion.

Traci Rossin is the best colorist and hair stylist ever. My hair color looks as it did when I was 18-​so natural even though I’m 60. My hair grows very quickly; so Traci cuts it so it looks great from hair cut to hair cut. Give her a try you won’t be disappointed.

Primp is hands down the best salon! My hair stylist, Teri, has been doing my hair for the last 5 years, color, cut and keratin treatments. And when she washes my hair, I have to say, her head massages are like a little slice of heaven. I always walk out of the salon looking and feeling like a million bucks. Just got my hair done on Tuesday this week and my husband came home and repeated 5 times how much he liked it… I think his exact words as walking in the door were «ooooo… sexy!» She colored my hair two shades darker than my normal color (by request) and gave me the cutest layered long hair cut. I even had my senior vice president at work (who is a major fasionista) tell me three times on Wednesday how much she liked it. To make a long story short, let’s just say I highly recommend Primp!

I recently moved to Lafayette and am so happy I found Traci at Primp! The salon itself is super cute, clean, and welcoming. I have had my hair done 3 times so far by Traci and I have walked out of there in love with my hair every time. She listens to what I want and also offers suggestions, and I have been really pleased with the results. She is fun to talk to and I love that she does not push products and services on me – in fact I had to forgo the haircut and just do color this visit because of my budget, and she was totally understanding with zero attitude. Traci is great and so is this salon!

Sarah has been my hairstylist for over 6 years and I couldn’t be happier. I moved two hours away and Sarah is still the only person I trust with my hair cuts, color, and straightening treatments. She is a true master at Keratin Straightening treatments! I recommend everyone to her.

I have been going to Stephanie for over 7 years and could not be happier. I loved her at her old location before she opened her own salon– and now I love Primp even more. Stephanie is wonderful, I hear great things about the other girls and I love the location in Lafayette. Primp is charming– a complete gem.

I have been going to Julie at Primp Salon for about 6 months now. I was referred by a coworker, and I was really hesitant as a male to get my hair cut at an actual «beauty salon» rather than my usual $ 11 haircut next to my house. I was surprised how comfortable I felt at the salon with all women. The salon has a great energy and all the stylist are really nice. I love the way Julie cuts my hair because I have always been very self conscious about the way my hair looks and she makes me feel like I actually have a cool hairstyle. I would absolutely recommend Julie for a men’s haircut at a reasonable price.

Teri is the best stylist I have ever been to. I will never go anywhere else ever again. She fixed my horribly damaged hair, educated me on the products I needed and why. I have never had so many compliments on my hair, ever. The salon is beautiful, I felt very comfortable. Teri was professional while also personable. Prices are reasonable as well. I would give 10 stars if I could!

Julie is hands down the best hairstylist I have ever been to. I have had many hairstylists in my day but have never been satisfied, that is until I met Julie 2 years ago. I have blonde hair, and it takes a Lot of talent to do blonde hair well. I have to say I have never had such healthy, not tacky hair! She is also amazing at styling and curls my hair like no other! I recommend Julie to anyone and everyone who is interested in having the BEST color, cut and style in the Bay Area! GO SEE JULIE!!!
