Star Furniture

We came in today with cash in hand ready to buy some office furniture. We knew exactly what we wanted. The only sales associate who spoke to us said, «I’m getting ready to go on lunch. Let me see if I can find someone else to help you. «No one came. We went up to the counter with the information for the pieces we wanted to purchase. Three employees at the counter continue their conversation without acknowledging us. A fourth person comes out of the back room, looks at us and keeps walking. My husband put the tags on the counter and said, «we can go somewhere else.» No response… so we left. Apparently it’s too inconvenient to sell furniture today.

I would like to give the sales rep Josiah 5 Stars on his customer service! He was awesome. However, I am giving this place an «okay» rating due to a policy they have in place. Came in for a sofa and left with a sofa and end tables. I would have left with a sofa, end tables, mattress set, bed frame, and a dining room table; however, I was told that I would have to pay for the shipping to my home. The manager stated that because the items weren’t available they would have to send the furniture in 3 different shipments but I would have to cover the cost. Essentially, because of the fact that THEY did not have the furniture in stock, not only was I going to be inconvenienced with not having furniture, but I would have to pay for the separate shipping charges. I asked her if she could waive the fee but she firmly said no. I explained that she was going to lose a huge sale because of this policy and she said she was fine with that. A $ 2000 sale lost over a $ 59 shipping charge. I’m glad she’s okay with that.

I purchased a chair at star recently. Not the best experience. After I decided which chair I’d like, the process to seal the deal and schedule delivery took about 45 min. Not cool. The place was not busy. It was just myself and two others in the entire store!

This is the best furniture store around! They sell quality Ashley furniture for a fraction of the price the actual Ashley store sells the same furniture. They don’t work on commission which is really nice. They don’t negotiate prices because they have their prices so low already. We saved hundreds of dollars on our new couch and ottoman buying it here instead of at the Ashley store, and the Ashley store was having a buy one, get one half off sale.
