Moral of this story: I was lied to, stolen from, and the owner doesn’t really respect her customers. I ordered a nice bouquet of flowers for my Girlfriends birthday for delivery to my apartment in west lafayette. When asked for my girlfriends phone number I gave it, but said to not call her as it was meant to be a surprise. Around 10AM the day of her birthday, she gets a voice mail on the number I asked them not to call, asking for her to call them back right away. When she did less than an hour later, she got no response. When I called the office in the afternoon, I was told that the apartment number was wrong and that 3 guys met the delivery person. I went in person to pick up the flowers to find out I was lied to on the phone and the person never even attempted to deliver the flowers to an apartment, but only went into the apartment complex’s office to drop off the flowers. Not only was the owner rude and blamed me for giving the wrong address and a poorly labeled apartment complex(the buildings have the apartment numbers is 6 inch high letters) but refused to refund the $ 10 delivery charge for a delivery that never happened! The address on the flowers were correct, my apartment complex is easy to navigate as I have gotten delivery food countless times. The one plus is that the flowers look beautiful. Not sure how long they will last as she got them today, but honestly that doesn’t matter. RE comment: They had two phone numbers, mine and my girlfriends, neither was called before delivery. We were in the apartment all day and never heard a knock on the door. I verified the apartment number when I placed the order. So that means either you didn’t even attempt to find my apartment in the complex and tried to drop them at the office because that was easier, or the delivery wasn’t attempted. So either the delivery was half-a**ed or never took place. Either should resulted in a refund and, at least, an apology, not an arrogant response to my honest review. And, just in case they remove their comment, I will pace it here so everyone can know what they said: «2÷26÷2014 It is our policy to call all recipients before delivery is made & the sender is made aware of that. Flowers are perishable & can be stolen if left outside on door steps, therefore we always make sure someone is going to be there to receive the delivery before hand. Delivery was attempted but the apartment we were told to deliver to recipient wasn’t at that apartment. We checked with the reception person at the apartment complex to make sure we were at the right place & the told us that no one by that name lived in that apartment complex & that was the reason we couldn’t leave the flowers at the office. Therefore the flowers were returned to the shop & the sender was notified & we were told they would be picked up. The delivery charge was not refunded because delivery was attempted. The sender was never lied to & I am sorry they feel that they were.»
