Zahra Boutique Salon

Okay seriously, you guys are going to fall in love with Zahra and her work! My hair is not easy to work with but I walked out of her salon with a beautiful balayage and trim. I would 100% recommend her. You can trust that you’re in good hands when you sit in her chair. And to top it off, she has a very welcoming and sweet personality. Thank you Zahra!

I love this place and Zahra! I have very thick, long hair and in the past it has been a struggle trying to find a hair dresser that not only isn’t intimidated by my hair, but that also understands my needs and wants. Zahra from the beginning has always been attentive to what I’ve requested, and if I’m unsure she will work little by little, until I make up my mind.
I’ve been bad at making appointments in advance, but luckily she’s always been able to schedule me within a few days, even staying after hours on numerous occasions to cut my hair last minute.
My fiancé was looking for a new hair dresser, so I sent him to Zahra’s and he loved the end result, he said it was the best haircut he’s gotten, and has made it a point to come back.
Her salon/​store is very clean, with lots of cute clothes and accessories to browse through.

I have been bringing my daughters here for several years after they outgrew a kids salon. Zahra is a wonderful stylist and human being! She is thoughtful, kind and a master with the scissors. Her salon/​shop is always filled with lovely clothing and accessories which is fun to browse before or after your appointment. She is flexible and even has Sunday appointments, which is hard to find for busy families! Highly recommend!

I’m so glad I found this place.
The shop is beautifully decorated. The owner is so sweet! She offered me water and tea. Although I was not up for the tea today– the cups they are served in is darling.
Enough about other stuff– let’s talk hair! Zahra did an amazing job with my hair. Last year I decided to go short hair from my usually long layers. The place I had it cut in Seattle was amazing. Then I moved back to California. Had a bad bad haircut. So I grew it out and went to see Zahra. This is now my go to spot.
I got so many compliments on the cut. Thank you Zahra!

Zahra has transformed my hair. She took me from a curly/​wavy disastrous mess to long flowing locks, trailing on my shoulders, colored mahogany with a hint of gold. I actually don’t know how she does it. No other hairdresser I’ve had ever did. So, my only guess is she’s a hair ninja, or sorceress, or something magical and powerful.
That’s the hair part.
The other part is both she and shila have changed my life in such positive ways. I’ve come to love both of them as good friends, almost family. I’ve supported them in their life through both good times and hard, and they me.
Which is not to say she always chatters on. Sometimes I’m working when I come in, sometimes I’m not in a great mood to talk, no matter what, she respects my peace.
Like I said. Ninja. Sorceress. Mother. Something like that.

I will not let anybody but Shila touch my hair! She has been doing my hair for over 10 years and each time I leave with the perfect hairstyle and just the way that I wanted it. I’ll show her a picture of what I like and she will create that exact look with an even better twist. Her salon is so adorable and I love picking up an item of clothing from the boutique on my way out. She takes her time to do a wonderful job and you will always walk out happy!

I love coming here and have Shila do my hair! Not only does she do a wonderful job (I always feel like a million bucks when I leave this place!!) but she is such a sweetheart! I love Shila and would not go anywhere else to get my hair done!

This is a wonderful place. Zahra is genuinely sweet and comfortable to be around. I came for a blow dry and she did a great job on my thick hair.
The boutique itself is charming too! Great little place next to Rustic Tavern. I highly recommend it.

Zahra is the best! I always leave here SO pleased. I’ve had haircuts, styles, and recently highlights and am over joyed with the results. The boutique is amazing and the owners really care for their customers and their products. Zahra is so personable and really enjoys building relationships with her clients. You won’t be disappointed!

Sheila is absolutely wonderful! I had my hair cut and highlights done with her recently. She implicitly understood what I wanted and did an impeccable job. Talking with her during the appointment felt like talking to a good friend.
Sheila has an excellent sense for fashion and style. Zahra Boutique has fun fashions handpicked by Sheila you can shop from after you get your new cute haircut.

Zahra, Shila and Winnie are wonderful. From the moment I walk in the shop I feel warmly welcomed to my pampering experience. Zahra advises me on my hair and always does a fantastic job. Winnie provides a fabulous pedicure and foot massage. The small shop feels very personally attentive. No chemical smells like you experience in larger salons or nail shops, and parking is available in the adjacent lot. Its been 5 years since I happened on this shop, and I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.

Absolutely amazing. Very patient with my children and made me feel beautiful! She did exactly what fit best and her true artistic talent def showed! Ty Zahra ur the best!

Shila and Zahra are just wonderful! Shila has been pampering my hair for over 13 years now… since my high school prom! I get a trim about every 6 months to a year, probably not as often as I should but it always looks amazing after seeing Shila! She listens to what I say and asks additional questions to makes sure we are on the same page.
I should mention that I has thick curly hair! I have been to other hair stylist and many are not great dealing with layers and making it look good curly or flat ironed. Shila also cuts my moms hair, my cousins hairs and many of my friends. My cousin also gets her eye brows threaded by Shila and they look great! Even if you are just looking for a blow out, this is a great place to go! I think they are very reasonably prices, although I don’t usually get hair treatments such as coloring. The shop also offers unique and fashionable clothes that are hang picked.
Both Sheli and Zarha are constant which is what has kept me coming back year after year. Their shop is unique, warm and inviting just as are they. Wonderful women that truly care about their customers.

Just got my haircut from Shila and she did an AMAZING job layering my hair. It now looks more stylish and healthier than ever! I am very picky about the way my hair is layered but Shila managed to cut it just right giving my hair more body and movement. If you want an awesome cut, you should give this place a try… you won’t he disappointed!

I’ve had Shila cut my hair twice now and loved both cuts.
The visit to the salon is always a very relaxing experience. The salon is easy to find with a free parking lot next to the building. Street parking is metered so if you’re parking on the street, read the meter’s hours carefully. The boutique is set up with clothes in the front, a nail station set up and the hair salon in the back. The clothes selection is great — haven’t bought anything yet because I’m usually running off after the hair appt but I love what they carry. The interior is super cute with very chic decorations.
I think it’s just Shila and her Mom doing the hair. On my recent visit, I didn’t have any ideas for what to do with my hair and asked for her advice. She told me what looks good on me and gave me some suggestions. The first cut was a great cut and it grew long nicely. I think it had been almost 8 months between appts and it didn’t look too neglected. She gives me great cuts with layers and texture. She always offers me hot tea too — such a nice touch! It’s in a cute teacup, no paper cups here!
She also threaded my eyebrows and gave them a good shape.

What a great experience as usual! Zahra is amazing and I always look forward to coming in and she always does a fabulous job! The salon has an intimate feel, so welcoming with the special interior. I give myself sometimes for shopping since they have a very unique clothing selection as well.
Great place to be and I highly recommend it.

One of my good friend recommended me to Shila when Zahra Boutique Salon was still at Hilltop mall 5 years ago and I have been a loyal customer ever since, even though they are a lot further from my parents’ house now that they moved to Lafayette. I’ve since moved to Fayetteville, then to Cincinnati, but never bother to find another hairstylist. The first thing I do every time I come back to the bay (which is often) is to see Shila for a haircut.
I love Shila! Not only is she great at what she does (I get compliments often); she is also very pleasant to talk to. She listens and understands exactly what I need every single time. She always air on the safe side, which I love! For example, I wanted bangs… to be safe… she went long and trimmed shorter to the specific length that I was pleased with. I highly recommend Shila. You’ll be happy with her.
Overall, I’m a raving fan and will still only see Shila for my haircut. :)

I love this place! I Zahra and Shila always take care of me and yesterday I took my mother in-​law for the first time and she was in love with the unique style and pieces they carry and the fabulous hair cut she got. I earnned some points with her. haha since that’s my favorite and only place where I get my hair done. Zahra being doing my hair for 10 years and I have followed her from the previous location to now close to my city.
Shila and Zahra are two lovely ladies like mother like daughter… Awesome customer service, they welcome people like they are part of their family

I’m sorry but there is no way that Zahra is a good hair salon. Her techniques and skills are below par and it is definitely a big waste of money. She has moved to Lafayette but I hope the Lamorinda women will be alerted that she is a 2^nd rate salon before they waste their money.
I also question her ethics and morals due to a personal experience I had with her.
