Such a wonderful dinner. Loved the cheese plate and kids menu was great. But mostly, Rob, our server was so great! Super cool and engaging. Loved him! We had the«surprise» bottles of wine. Loved it! Dinner was excellent. Thank you for a perfect night.

The ONLY negative isn’t really a negative because if you are willing to drive to Laguna Beach to eat… then shut the heck up about the prices! LOL Everything about this place is perfect… especially for a date night destination! We had bone marrow appetizer(5 stars), pretzel bits with mustard(3 stars… WAY too much horseradish… geez), Trout main dish(5 stars), Pasta … with egg(5 stars), bacon wrapped meatloaf(5 stars). brussel sprout appetizer(5 stars). grilled cheese sandwich appetizer(5+ stars). Service was what you would expect from a high end restaurant. 2 adults and a child walked out of here about $ 200 lighter so plan accordingly. The main dishes are pretty good size so don’t go crazy on the appetizers like we did. It was casual dress, however, I suggest business casual(slacks and a polo). Although I’m sure they would seat you in your board shorts and flip flops… you might feel out of place. Enjoy!

The ambiance was wonderful. Our server was excellent. I wish I remembered his name, he was quite the jokester and he made our dining experience enjoyable. We were excited to try the Short Rib Grilled Cheese, to find out they ran out. Pretty sad about that. It makes total sense, why it says only certain amounts available. The line up for the evening was as follows: 1) Short Rib poutine 2) Pork Belly and shared a plate of their 3) Noodles+Egg, followed by the Bread Pudding with Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Love their food! I am so happy that the poutine and pork belly arrived at the same time. We joked about how amazing a PORKBELLYPOUTINE would be *hint* *hint* The Short Rib poutine was delicious. The pieces of short rib was tender. The right amount of sauce on the fries and meat. The Pork Belly dish was my absolute favorite. The ratio of fat to meat was impeccable. It was cooked just right, with the right amount of crunch. I did not care for the pineapples. The two pre-game dishes took the cake for us. The Noodles arrived and we were so so about them. I was craving for egg and broccoli, so this was the perfect dish to order. However, wasn’t crazy for it or the sausage in it. We could have done without this dish. I was stuffed, however I ALWAYSHAVEROOMFORDESSSERT! We came to an agreement, Bread Pudding it was. I could not have been any happier to have ended our dining experience at Three Seventy Common with this decadent dessert. The Butter Pecan married the Whiskey bread pudding flavors very well. The pretzels + spicy mustard is complimentary and it is a sinus cleanser. It had a kick to it, the good kind. Wish we were more local to this area we would be here more often. This is our kinda food joint

I met some out of town girlfriends here for dinner and it was solid! We were able to book reservations the morning of, which was awesome considering it was a Friday. We parked right out front in metered parking, which was nice on a weekend. The dinner was great, the drinks were awesome and the dessert made the meal complete. We just ordered the steak special and random sides and shared. Gregory was our server and he was GREAT! We will definitely be coming back.

Two words: Fried Chicken!!! This place does it right!!! Oh, and the pretzels with spicy mustard and the bone marrow are delectable! Everything I have devoured here the several times I have been has been perfect. If you want comfort food and warm friendly service, this is the right place. They also have intimate tables upstairs if you are looking for a romantic date night with your other half!

This was my first time here & we got a last minute reservation. The Food is amazing! I started with calamari and kale salad. I had a spicy margarita super yummy & for dinner we did ruby red trout, halibut, & Brussel sprouts. Foodgasm! I’d definitely come back. Our server Gregory was the cherry on top. Such a fun personality & gave great suggestions! He was full of energy. A perfect Saturday night date spot.

Came to 370 for oc restaurant week with my boyfriend who had never been there. It had been about a year for me because my father who had passed away was in love with the restaurant and I just needed sometime before I came back. Once we got there we were escorted right up stairs and served right away. The service is great but the food is unbeatable. We started with the short rib poutine. It was phenomenal, creamy, crunchy and gooey everything you could ever want in a poutine fry mix. After that we ordered the chicken, Brussels sprouts and Mac n cheese. All of these were amazing but the Mac n cheese stood out the most. It was beyond delish. Perfect cheese to noodle ratio. If your eyeing in on the menu just order it. You will not be disappointed. Overall we had a fantastic experience and I cannot wait to come again.

I really wanted to love this place but half our food was good and the other half not good hence the 3 stars. They start you off with the pretzel sticks with this super potent mustard sauce. They totally warn you which is cool but I think it should be on the side so you can control how much to dip. We asked for another one without the sauce. They didn’t tell us it was not free for additional pretzels. Luckily they were nice about it and took it off the bill. We ordered a few small plates including their soup of the day which never showed up(but wasn’t charged.) The short rib grilled cheese was quite tasty and cooked perfectly. The deviled egg was a bit too salty and I don’t think it was from the chorizo. The wings? Please skip. I ordered the poutine and was really disappointed. Fries got soft from the sauce. It just tasted like eating salty mush. The poutine at the Kroft is much better. The hubs got the burger which was another disappointment but the fries were much better not in gravy. Service was friendly.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. It was our first time to this restaurant. We went on a Saturday around 7ish. It was nice that though we didn’t make reservations, they were able to seat us immediately. Laguna Beach typically gets busy during the weekend, but there is valet parking right across the street so that was super convenient! It’s $ 10 to valet, but trust me it’s totally worth it. So we were seated upstairs which was nice because we overlooked the rest of the restaurant. The place has a nice ambiance, server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and wines. We had ordered the bone marrow appetizer which was delicious! For entrée, I ordered the Steak Salad. The steak was perfectly cooked, juicy and seasoned properly. My only criticism is the dressing of the salad. I felt like it was a tad bit over dressed and sour for my liking, but didn’t bother me too much where I couldn’t eat it. My boyfriend had ordered the bacon cheddar burger with a fried egg on top. That was very tasty as well. On the side, we had ordered brussels sprouts with bacon bits, apples, and walnuts. I thought this dish was good, but have had better. Overall, it was a great experience and would like to go back to try their specials that are offered on certain days. Tuesday they do a thing called the brown bag which is comprised of many different ingredients and you’ll never know what you’re going to get so it’s surprise! Sundays are family style chicken and waffles! Definitely have to go back for that!

Nice place for date night in Laguna. We have been here a few times over the years. The food is good, not outstandingly great. Some of the dishes are just average, like the filet mignon. The beef quality to me tasted like choice or possibly select. The seafood dishes are better, like the trout or salmon. The poppers are below average and overpriced. They are 3 each. Stay away. Oysters are fresh. They used to have a different bread but now its pretzel bites. Cocktails are excellent. Dark and romantic. Small bar with TV that is fairly lively. This place is slightly below Broadway or Nick’s in my book.

«Winner, winner, chicken dinner,» said Guy Fieri which is about the only thing he’s contributed to culinary SoCal along with a HAZMAT spat with Bourdain. Finding good fried chicken is no yolk. It is serious business. Touted chicken is rarely what it is cracked up to be. So, if you;re gonna shell out for some, it has to be good. I had been cooped up for week waiting for the last Sunday of the month when Three Seventy Common cackles with delight over dishing up some of the best chicken this side of Indiana. There, consider yourself duly punished. The Ambiance: Picture a beautiful two story Spanish Hen House hacienda with comfortable seating at the bar, tables nicely spaced and an upper level quiet balcony dining area as well. As you look up you can almost see Zorro swinging down on the Butler’s velvet rope. The Vibe: Locals and foodies who want to find out if The Register was correct in tagging this place as número uno for t hevery best fried chicken in the County. Pretty cluckin’ good, it was. I could have eaten the whole roost full. $ 39 per head plus drinks and tip gets you a custom big bucket of bird Kale & Apple Salad, Jalapeño Cornbread, Garlic Mashed Spuds with Country Gravy, Smokey Braised Greens, Green Beans Cole Slaw, and a fat wedge of Spice Cake, Homage to the Colonel, only way, way better. The Colonel has been busted in rank. The Staff: Friendly and hoppin’ around like a pack of rabbits on an electrified floor. This pop-up menu is a tough table to bag and every one, including the owner, is busy here. The open kitchen lets you watch the line cooks perform their focused and possessed ballet. They’re all moving like Lucy on speed wrapping chocolates. The Bar Program: Best to be civilized before yo dive on the chicken and the bones start flyin’. Take a drink or two Have a Doc Holiday featuring Kirk & Sweeney 18 year aged Rum, Huckleberry Jam, Lemon Simple Syrup, Plum Bitters, and Sonic(soda/tonic). A melted popsicle and delicious. This Doc Holiday offers a quiet slurp instead of a sloshed Wyatt Earp. The 370 Common is Derby Rye, Agave, Grapefruit Juice with an Orange peel twist. and is a refreshing modern apéritif. Start with Kale & Apple Salad with Per, Raisin, Bacon, Onion, Almonds, great gobs of goat cheese under a drizzle of Sherry Vinaigrette. Sounds like the chef went nuts at the Farmer’s Market, but it all works. The salad is composed and balanced between acidity and sweetosity. This could be an entrée salad and I would be happy. It comes with house made Jalapeño Cornbread/)Which could have been served warm… but not worth a knock. Just a thought.) Let the carnage begin. Go ahead, flip me the bird. It’s why you waited three weeks to get here. The chicken is all natural and organically raised. They are not brined but dry rubbed as per the chef’s granny’s instructions and yet the chicken is as moist and juicy as a J-Lo workout video. Crisp and crunchy enough to shatter your wineglass. when you bite into a breast. Dunk a wing in the spiced warm honey if you are a chicken flipper dipper. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Country Gravy will take you directly back to the school cafeteria at Thanksgiving. They were smooth and cream as can be. The Green Beans(haricot verts to be exact) were blanched and then flash sauteed with shallots and garlic, This was as good as any rendition of thee delicate French beans. The Smokey Braised Greens(collards) come right form the the hot pan mounded into a small hill with bits of roasted pork belly and a scattering of chili flakes. And if that wasn’t enough to quell your Mum’s voice admonishing you«Eat all your vegetables, or no TV». you get a pile of Cole Slaw which outta be fried chicken’s life partner anyway. Top it all off with your Spice Cake, toasted walnuts and Anglaise. Not too sweet, not to much, not to be missed. If you’re a calorie counter, bring tow calculators. My advice, don’t be a chicken. Make the effort to grab a table and a wing the last Sunday of the month because Three Seventy Common is uncommonly good.

We always have a great time here, whether it’s just the wife and I or with a group of friends. From their cocktail menu, I’ve had their White Flag and Chupacabra. The White Flag is a ghost chile tequila, passion fruit purée and lemon-lime I suspect(«citrus» the menu says). I enjoy a decent amount of heat but this one is too much for me. The ghost chile stays with you a fair amount of time after finishing the drink, changing your taste buds for your meal. They give you considerable warning, however(verbal & written). The Chupacabra is a very refreshing Tequila, lime, cilantro, cucumber punch. If we are eating elsewhere in the area we’ll usually stop in for an apéritif as they make excellent Negroni’s and Sazerac’s. 370C has arguably the best cheese & charcuterie board around. They spare no expense on the serving size and the accompaniments — dried fruit, honeycomb, pâté, rustic bread. Very good value. Other smaller dish favorites are the broccolini with the fried egg, crunchy parmesan & prosciutto and the spicy lime tuna poke with macadamia nuts. We like their poutine although I ask them to go a little easy on the horseradish crème as I think it drowns out the flavor of the short rib. They have really good maple bourbon brussels sprouts if you like them on the sweeter side. Their 10 Napkin Burger isn’t as messy as it sounds but no one will blame you if you end up using a fork(or a 2nd napkin). Beef is very well seasoned and condiments(arugula, egg, cheddar cheese, bacon, mushroom chili) play a good supporting cast. The complimentary pretzel bread with spicy mustard they serve at the bar is can’t miss. A few times we’ve gone in just for a drink and that bread keeps us their for dinner. Large windows facing Mermaid Ave., tables close to one another, a bar where food is served, and an upstairs smaller dining area give this restaurant a very comfortable feeling while not seeming stuffy.

Bone marrow — Largest portion of bone marrow I’ve ever ordered at a restaurant — and yet my least favorite. The spices were just pooled on top in a thick intermittent layer that was black and tasted like a mouthful of peppery burnedness and the actual bone marrow itself was not as creamy as usual. The garlic bread that comes with was tasty, however. I think the larger bones created a less delicate flavor maybe? What do I know I’m a fake vegetarian — but regardless this was very meh. 3⁄5 Green lentil — Soup du jour for that day. Savory — seemed fairly healthy too. Not over the moon exceptional but what do you expect from lentil soup — it was definitely decent. 4⁄5. Cauliflower — Simple preparation — lightly fried so not mushy with a subtle pepper and herb flavoring. 5⁄5 Calamari — typical calamari. Good– nothing unusual. 4⁄5 Complimentary bread — is pretzels! Little bites with mustard. Unique approach to a bread appetizer. Cucumber vodka cocktail. Nice cucumber flavor without being overwhelming and no harshness to the vodka. Yum. 5⁄5 Casual dining — did not need a reservation on a Sunday night… but I had one just in case! Servers were very friendly, atmosphere is quiet. Street parking was pretty easy to come by on a Sunday as well.

I am a happy man. The wife and I were looking for someplace new on Tuesday, and I had wanted to try Three Seven Common, I knew it was good, but I didn’t do any detailed research. we just parked across the street and checked out the menu. The food looked good, but Tuesday is brown bag wine night, where you can get a mystery bottle of wine for $ 15. Knowing that the place has a good reputation, I figured the wine would at least be decent. The wine was really good. We had a nice bottle of pinot that paired really well with my duck and her salmon. It was so good we had a second. So two bottles of wine for the price of a pair of cocktails. It was not a $ 70 bottle, but it was good enough. As for the food, that was also really good. We started with the hamachi, which was OK, but something I wouldn’t order again. We had 5 nice thick slices of yellowtail with pepper that made for spicy bites. Also served up were pretzel bread bites with mustard, and I could have done just those as an app. I like horseradish, so the spicy English style mustard was right up my alley. I ordered the duck breast, and it was perfectly medium rare, with a crispy skin, over a sweet potato and dark meat duck hash with apples and other flavors. Definitely a winner in my book. My wife had the salmon, again medium rare, and it was served very juicy and packed full of flavor. I am definitely glad we meandered in, and it may be a regular Tuesday night spot. Unless the tasting menu Wednesday deal tops it. I’ll try that some other time.

I was beginning to wonder where the five-star foodie restaurants were in Orange County… I found one in Three Seventy Common tonight! I’d been having cravings for two particular things as of late and TSC offered both on their menu. I was sold. Now, I understand the animal rights issue and ethics behind the ban on foie gras. But hell was I happy when it was overturned in California… I sought it out immediately. Sorry, PETA. That *ish is culinary heaven. Three Seventy Common’s foie of the day was everything I could have asked for: perched on a piece of brioche on a bed of frisee, surrounded by pears with a cider gastrique.($ 30) It was pricey, but a great portion and I didn’t regret a second of it’s buttery goodness melting in my mouth. The second item I’d been craving was black mussels. Although these were delicious and fresh, they’re not the best I’ve ever had. Solid effort, I just wished the broth they came in(beer, garlic, onion) had been a bit more dynamic. The crostini served with it were an unremarkable addition to the plate. Although we initially ordered two goat cheese stuffed shishito poppers, they were so freaking amazing we immediately ordered two more. No regrets. Absolutely delicious. We were sad that they’d run out of the«limited portion» of available short rib grilled cheese, but I’m sure we’ll be back and we’ll make sure it’s a little earlier next time! Ha! The boyfriend had the 10 Napkin burger and said it was awesome. I tasted it and agreed. You can’t go wrong with a fried egg on a burger ever. That’s just my personal opinion. The last item I can comment on was the charred brussel sprout side dish, with lemon, brown butter and hazelnuts. I consider myself to be fairly talented in the kitchen, especially understanding flavors and how to pair them. This being said, I’m always pleasantly surprised when a profile surprises me. Brussel sprouts and toasted hazelnuts are perfect bedfellows. Who knew?! DELISH. Shout out to a fun, knowledgeable and engaging server, Rob. We’ll be back, most definitely.
