I got the chicken Schwarma plate at 4:30pm on a Tuesday. It came with Hummus, small salad, and pitas. I ordered a side of rice. The rice was the best thing The chicken schwarma was dark meat, not fresh, in fact it looked a couple of days old… gross! The pitas were hard… for $ 12+, very, very disappointing… i will not be returning

Great food. Rice and kabobs are always perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection. The staff always has a smile on their faces as they make you feel welcomed.

This place is our favorite for quick, quality Mediterranean. The chicken schwarma and falafel is amazing. I truly have not had better falafel and the employees there are always very friendly and make sure your order is perfect.

I was excited to try this place for some basic Mediterranean/Persian fare. The place is cute, clean, and simply decorated. The staff is polite and food arrived within 10 minutes. So far, promising. Food was not as expected. My chicken shawarma plate was not an enjoyable meal for my mouth or throat. Loved the salad and hummus, but chicken could have been on the rotating cooker for too long and I got the outermost dried-out bits and the pita bread was slightly stale and not warmed. The koobideh combo was good– meat was more moist and rice was tasty. Overall, a positive experience. It may have been an off-day for their food game, but I I would not likely return. It seems like a newer spot with potential to be a must-hit, mom-and-pop café. There’s nothing minor tweaks and attention to detail couldn’t improve! *Heads up for the eco-conscious, they use a lot of disposable items such as plastic plates, styrofoam water cup/containers, and breads served in baggies or cellophane. Unsure why reusables aren’t a thing for their eat-in clients. It could definitely make the space more personal, warm, and welcoming!

The time it took to make this wrap had me hopeful that it was worth the wait. Sadly, it wasn’t. It was ok but the price and wait is why I give it just 2 stars. I’ve had much better with faster, friendlier service for less money. :(

It was ok. My gyro was mostly lettuce. My wife had the gyro plate and again nothing mind blowing. Yet I had to pay mind blowing prices. 3 dollars for a 20oz soda? I was just travelling through so I won’t be back anyways, but I have to believe there are better options for the area.

It’s not bad for a take-out type of place, they have a few tables although not many patrons sit down to eat. The one thing that bothered me was that they charged $ 2 extra to substitute a minuscule portion of baba ganoush instead of hummus with an entrée, while the(bigger) appetizer portions of baba ganoush is only $ 1 more than the hummus. If you are going to nickle and dime me, then I will be stingy too.

When I need my persian food fix, I come to Grill Café. Their koobideh special is worth the 11 bucks, and it fills you up. On fridays they have a lubia polo special which in amazing. Their service is pretty quick, but I usually just call ahead so I can Grub and go. Just know that the portions and quality are worth the price.

Great food for reasonable prices. I tried the variety plate and it was delicious. Also, the staff was amazing and very nice. The only thing is they only have bottled drinks, and I would’ve liked more of a bottomless drink station or ice-tea option, but they didn’t offer that. Other than that, place was clean, and food was fresh.

I was craving some Persian food, especially Koobideh. There’s not that many choices in South OC but this place has a decent rating. I find the Koobideh to be a bit bland. I also ordered a Chicken Shawarma to try it. I find it better than the Koobideh. A little more moist and flavor. It came with hummus, pita, and a salad. Not bad. If you’re near and craving some Middle Eastern/Mediterranean then this place doesn’t hurt. It’s just a small average place.

Just stopped in for the first time. Chicken shawarma… DEEElicious!!! They have so many other items that look amazing, different stews with rice, eggplant dishes, and kabob plates. I’ll be back for sure! Really nice people too. I definitely recommend this place!

I recently came here w/my bf, who just moved into to the area. He was craving for shwarma and we gave this place a try. Mediterranean food is my usual go-to! I got the koobideh combo while my bf got the shwarma and we were both satisfied with our food! We got samples of the chicken shwarma, which was moist and flavorful. I definitely recommend and will be back soon!

I recently moved to this area and I was looking for a place that has good Shwarma, this place definitely delivered! The chicken was super tender and extremely flavorful. The lady that was at the register was also very nice and let us have some samples. Overall, I am pretty impressed!

Very delicious. Beef shwarma and chicken shwarma had great flavor, but were a tad dry. Beef koobideh was not as good as the other two. Owners were really nice and I enjoyed the quiet space. Hummus was to die for with a slice of pickled veggie! Cucumber tomato salad was so-so. Overall, a good meal.

I am sorry to say that this is not a four star or three star or two star food establishment. I feel bad giving them one star purely because they seemed like nice people(and I am sure they are) but the food is sub-par to say the least. My wife and I visited this restaurant and ordered a total of four dishes. Three of the dishes were not very good even when compared to other restaurants that serve middle eastern food and one plate(meat plate) was so bad that my wife couldn’t eat the first bite. We are not picky about food and appreciate all types of cuisine from fancy restaurants to food trucks at times and this was not edible. The vegetables and meats looked and tasted like last months inventory. Not fresh and not prepared properly. Again, I must question the review systems because I don’t believe that this restaurant under any objective rating should be any better thank a one-star or if generous a two-star establishment.

Chicken Shawarema was well seasoned and was very moist and delicious. It also came with the hummus, pita bread and garlic sauce. The Falafel was very filling and also came with hummus and a small salad. Both meals were filling and the food was of a high quality. I wish the Falafel had more seasoning but overall they were good.

After coming here a few times, I am totally convinced this is a consistent 5-star spot with delicious, fresh food, owned by good people who love what they do. My husband and I really like the combo plates(generous portions) — the chicken and beef are nicely prepared; very flavorful without tasting over-seasoned or salty, and the salads have been crisp and fresh each time we’ve been here. We will definitely be back for more and highly recommend you pay them a visit!

Pros: Chicken shawarma plate Cons: Not too much seating inside So I used to work across the street from this place and I didn’t even know it existed. It’s a tiny fast food order at the counter type place. There’s some seating inside, but its limited. They serve various types of plates ranging from gyros to kabobs. I ended up getting the Chicken shawarma plate(around $ 10). Pretty tasty. It comes with salad, hummus, and pita bread. Service is relatively quick, so it’s good for a quick bite.
