so my 3month old was in hospital last week and CHLA hospital recommended I go see specialist because his heartrate was a bit high and hes a high risk baby because he had open heart surgery at the age of 5 days. Baby had an appointment ³⁄₉ but Dr. Tan thought its best to come in sooner (3÷2÷16). We arrived at office 20 minutes late, the nurse comes out to tell me I am late and cannot get the EKG and will only have a follow up for today’s visit. I explained how I left work early, had to pick up baby from baby sitter and stuck in traffic… she went back to ask doctor to consider, after 10 minutes she tells me «the doctor made up his mind and he will not do the EKG». Doctor did not have anyone waiting and was just hanging around the from desk when I arrived, I thought this was pretty mean. Things happen and my 3mth old needs to be seen and instead your turning him away. Says allot about how much he cares for patients.

I have an authorization to get a procedure at this facility. I’ve been calling for 2 days on the number 877 430‑7337. After 3 calls and waiting at least 5 minutes for each call still no one has answered the phone! Great customer service! Next!!!

This is the perfect example of what medicine has become. Their idea of patient care is to wait for you to die on hold when trying to make an appointment which in the best case is a month away; if that fails they will leave you waiting in the waiting room until the grim reaper has time to make his appointed rounds. Most of these guys were around when the original version of the Hippocratic Oath was first debated and they argued vociferously against it. What they do well is collect money, which is the first requirement since the overhead of so many offices and staff is staggering. If you have a choice, with which in Cardiology may not be the case, I would suggest that you find another physician group.
