Went here for breakfast with the family. Good food good service. Not super busy on the weekend. My kids enjoyed it and the cinnamon rolls were awesome.

This place holds such a special place in my heart. My husband and I have been frequenting Polly’s for the past 12 years. Their food is both comforting and delicious. For breakfast, I recommend their pancakes, omelettes, blueberry muffins, cinnamon rolls, French toast and yummy sausages. For lunch or dinner, their rotisserie chicken meal and back burner soup. For dessert, their egg custard pie and banana cream pie. If you would like the best server in the world, ask for Fernando. He makes us smile each time we see him. Best host in the world would be Jorge. Overall, excellent staff. We just moved 80 miles away but we will still drive here each month to treat ourselves to this delight of an establishment. It’s home:)

My review is based on my experience, as I wouldn’t even accept my order. I was sitting in a booth and talking quietly on my cell phone(I have good hearing). A man across from me yelled at me to GETOUTOFHERE with that phone. I said excuse me, but I’m talking lower than anyone else here(it’s a geriatric community that all talk very loud) and he again yelled at me to GETOUTOFHERERIGHTNOW. I went to the Manager and told him about the rude patron. He chose to do nothing and asked if I wanted my breakfast in the lobby and I kindly responded I won’t eat anything here if you allow your guests to be abused by other guests. There was no signage about cell phone use, and the other patron was just a cranky old guy that just wanted to drink coffee all day and read his book. Typical Laguna Woods cranky old man. I have bought pies here and they were pretty bad. If you’re known for your pies, learn to bake a good pie.

The way I feel about my breakfast here this weekend, is… meh. It was not my choice to come here, but I went anyway. I should have ordered a piece of cherry pie and been done. I went with the ABC Omelette. Avocado, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Mushrooms, and Green Onion. I subbed Swiss Cheese instead of Cheddar and it was literally a slice of Swiss placed on top of my omelette. I ordered the Cherry Crisp muffin and potato pancakes as my sides. I was given a bran muffin, so they had to change that. The potato pancakes, were something I cant even describe. I dont know what they were made with, but they were creamy, and I did not like them, at all. And I LOVE potato pancakes. My omelette was just ok. The best part of my meal was the cherry muffin. I had a really bad stomach ache after eating here that lasted most of the day, so I wont be returning. The service was very slow, and the room we were in was not very crowded.

Came here using the gift card that I finally received from here. Hardly anyone in there and still slow service on refills and getting seated. The food was just ok today beside the biscut and gravy that was great of course it always is. The food and the service isn’t consistent here so we will not be coming back here again.

We love polly’s for their amazing food and service. The kid’s meals are generous and only $ 2.99! We have had great servers including Jennifer who always go above and beyond to make us happy. She gives the kids little toys to play with all on her own. The veggie sandwich is the best around and their back burner soup is comfort food.

Came here today as a last resort because nothing else was open on New Year’s Day. We have been looking for a breakfast place — can’t stand Coco’s or Denny’s anymore, and this was PERFECT. Our table ordered a variety of stuff — pancakes, omelettes, scrambled eggs, bacon and hashbrowns, and all were perfect. And the french toast cinnamon roll was to die for — and it’s HUGE — brought leftovers home and it’s still enough for 2 to share. It’s the perfect old school diner type place. I even love the old fashioned/old school feel to it — from the horrid plastic green chairs to the gaudy flowered wall paper. It’s just such a nice change from the modern, hip, new restaurants. Very homey. Coming back for sure.

It is what it is — an unpretentious, diner type of place with a big menu. Really big sized portions for kid’s meals that are under $ 5, which is great if you have children! I like this place — good sized portions and inexpensive prices. Can’t say I’ve tried the pies, but their sandwiches and burgers are decent!

First time ordering from here and I was really pleased with the pies. We ordered a pumpkin and an apple crisp. Delicious! The pies were ready on time and the customer service was excellent! Highly recommend this place!

Pies are to Die For! Right now they have some special Oktober Fest pies: Famous Apple, Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake, Carmel Apple and a few more treasures. The Pumpkin Cheesecake was soft and smooth with a satisfying graham pie crust. The boysenberry pie warmed with a dolup of vanilla ice cream was quite tart as well as smooth and sweet.

Came here the morning after our 4th of July shenanigans for some breakfast. My family was sick of the usual breakfast fare places: Denny’s, IHOP, Carrows etc. So the party of 6 met here Sunday July 5th around 11:30. Waiting area was very old timey. Wallpaper was full of bold colors, flowers, and vines. Something a grandma would have in her house. Seating consisted of small benches and rocking chairs around the outside. In the middle is a small kiosk with peaches, tea, coffee for sale. I sampled their tea they had out. I am guessing it was a hibiscus strawberry? Steaming hot, poured a dark pink-red color. Didn’t like the taste too much but I was in full-on hunger and recovery mode. Here comes the dining area in the back. A/C was on and everyone was freezing. Ordering was simple: coffee or hot chocolates all around. The hot chocolate was sooo disappointing. It was like pre-packaged Nestle hot cocoa. Wasn’t mixed correctly(could still see the powder) and it wasn’t even filled up to the top. Coffee was also very bland and couldn’t finish. Food: Got the hash browns, gravy, egg, cheese, and green onion with a cinnamon roll bakery item. The food was really heavy and the gravy was half the dish. It was also very bland. My friend got pancakes and found a hair in them. Asked for another plate to be made but the wait meant she had to take them to go. All in all, it was a good place to try because it was new. I won’t be back here ever again. I’m going to show my family OHOP next time for some pancakes without hair strands in them.

We stop in on the weekends for breakfast every so often. There are a couple of servers that I’d prefer not to be seated with, but overall the rest of them are courteous & consistent. Marta is my favorite :) The bakery atmosphere is nostalgic for me — I enjoy the fragrance of the freshly baked breads, pies, etc. The breakfast food & the coffee is yummy. They comply with minor alterations to your order as well.

There is something so lovable about Polly’s. It’s old and like a diner but the food is grubby! Just good eggs, great hash browns. The servers are so nice and on top of it. Oh you gotta try their jam — amazing! Oddly I’ve never tried a pie! But their blueberry pancakes are amazing :)

We came here for Mother’s Day and we have to say, the service was EXCELLENT! This was our first time here, but the service was some of the best I’ve had in a VERY long time, if ever. First, the«Head Coach»(GM) greeted us and personally held the door for us when we came in. We were told the wait would be 30 minutes since it was Mother’s Day(no big deal), so we wait outside since the lobby is packed. 20 minutes later we were seated and greeted by our server David who was quite friendly and personable. He took our order and about 5 – 10 minutes later, asked if our toddler would like the Mickey Mouse pancake he made. While it didn’t look anything like Mickey, the gesture was beyond what I was expecting considering it was quite busy and we were planning to share with him anyways. The food came out and it was also very good. While I wouldn’t consider it the best in Orange County, it was still very good in our opinions. Once we were done with our meal, David asked us if we wanted any pie. We politely declined, but he asked my wife what he favorite pie was«out of curiosity». A short while later, he brought out a piece for her as a Mother’s Day present. We were very thankful for the very nice gesture. When was the last time your waiter did something like that? Or the restaurant allowed or encouraged their staff to do something like that? My highest compliments to the store ownership and management for allowing and encouraging their staff to go the extra mile, and thank you to the staff of Polly’s Pies for making this Mother’s Day such a wonderful experience.

Ah I miss going to pie-centric restaurants! It’s been a while since I’ve been here. I came here to this location for breakfast with friends and had waffles, bacon, scrambled eggs, a smidgeon of a cinnamon roll, and washed it all down with coffee. My friends, who arrived first, had to wait a little bit to be seated because they had just arrived for what seemed to be the 2nd wave of a breakfast rush. After we were sat, you could see the short-staffed servers going to each table trying to catch up on orders. But for all that upfront waiting, our food arrived pretty quickly. Uh, that aforementioned cinnamon roll was the size of small pizza, but better cuz it was a cinnamon roll. It was nice to pay under $ 30 for breakfast for 3. I didn’t get any pies. Maybe next time. The parking lot can be a bit of a war zone as Leisure World is just down the street. Nuff said ;)

The food here was good and the fact that my order came with a piece of pie was also a plus. Worth checking out but keep in mind you may be dining with majority being senior citizens.

I love this place! Go early enough and enjoy their daily deals! Busy on the weekends! Price is low $ 8 or less for a full breakfast with coffee or orange juice. I had the chicken egg white spinach omelette, yum!!! And they make their own bread and muffins. TODIEFOR!!! I’m going again tomorrow!

UPDATE: Their special of the month: Turkey Dinner Cakes — $ 8.29 — Crab cakes have nothing on this«unique» version of the traditional turkey dinner. Warm, fresh Turkey breast, stuffifing and Yukon Gold Smashed Potatoes, hand-formed into two yummy cakes, fried to crispy perfection and served with turkey gravy garnished with cranberry sauce and served with freshly baked dinner rolls. OMG! OMG! OMG! These Turkey Cakes are DELICIOUS! You really need to go in and try them while they are being offered and serving them. I know I’m going back. Our visit was on 12−16−14 at around 5:30PM. Our Waitress was a cute young thing by the name of Gabriela. Polly make sure you keep her at any cost. She made us feel like family. Merry Christmas Gabriela! Gary & Paula.

Great burger combo. I had a medium rare burger and the dish was delicious from beginning to end. The fries were very tasty too. This is mostly a spot for old people because the area is Laguna woods senior community.

This place kinda reminds me of a Cracker Barrel with the storefront before entering the actaul dining area. I love all the fresh breads, muffins, cookies and pies they sell. It was lunchtime but I was craving breakfast, luckily that wasn’t a problem. I ordered the Country tater breakfast which was perfect for me because they fix it just like I do at home. Hasbrown on the bottom, eggs on top smothered in gravy with a side of biscuits and gravy… yummo! It was simple and good. Our server was fantastic, she was friendly and talking to everyone. You can tell most patrons are regulars, but no worries service was still great and everyone including the patrons were friendly. This is on the top of my favorite breakfast spots close to my neighborhood.
