Been here a few times since moving to the area and always good service, on time, pleasant and no complaints and will keep coming back, not the cheapest though.

Dropped of school uniform shorts to her Monday. Had to revisit to make sure she cut them right. I asked to re-try them on or if I could see how they look on me. She said no and was very impatient. I asked again and told her the importance of the length, she said no. I took them and left. No wonder the prices are so cheap, this lady has lost all her marbles & custom service skills!

Um, methinks not. You are unfriendly, perhaps it’s because you are asian and always curt. I can accept that. But you charge me $ 20 to fold and sew? Didn’t even open a seam or hide the work. And it still didn’t fit right. For the sake of your reputation I hope this work was passed to an apprentice and not the esteemed«Grace» because it was far from Amazing. Peace I’m out and won’t be coming back.

I just moved to the area and was nervous to take my bridesmaid dress just anywhere. I don’t know many people in the area yet but the one person I do know referred me to this place. Grace is very nice, she did a GREAT job and got me my dress back in less than a week. The only negative i’d have to say is the price. It was $ 40 just to hem my dress and $ 50 to let out the sides. It was my fault for waiting so long to have the dress altered so I had no other choice but to pay $ 90. Had I not lagged, Alfred Angelos(where I bought the dress) would have done the hem for half the price. If you don’t mind spending so much money for altering a dress, i’d highly recommend this place. The dress looks fabulous and you can’t tell any alterations were done at all!

They do good work, but it is very pricey work. Get a price quote before you get any alterations done. I made the mistake of paying when I picked up… that is when I learned that to get 2 jackets altered and dry cleaned was $ 165. If I would have known that prior to going there I would have looked elsewhere.

Unfortunately I cannot share some of the other customers’ good experiences. On my first visit to this establishment, I had taken in a jacket to have the shoddy-looking buttonhole fixed. First: the item wasn’t ready when promised. So they asked me to come back in 10 minutes, which I thought wasn’t really enough time to fix the buttonhole, I went back in 30 minutes. Well, to my surprise they had sewn shut half the buttonhole so that the button no longer fit through it. When I showed them this they said they’d fix it immediately. Again, I wondered how they could in just a couple of minutes fix it! Of course they couldn’t and when the buttonhole now looked as it did before, I asked for my money back. The tailor became very loud, yanked the jacket out of my hand, refused to give me back my money and wouldn’t give me my jacket, either. In desperation, I said«Keep the money, just give me my jacket!» Then he handed the jacket back over and I was never so glad to leave a tailoring shop. Never again will I go there!

Did a wonderful job on altering shirts and sports coat. I was surprised when they told me it was going to cost $ 40.00 to launder a sleeping bag. They told me before hand and I still let them clean it. At least it was packed in a sturdy plastic package with a handle to carry it that we can reuse to store it in. Update: Last time I was in, Grace had apparently read my review and kindly reminded me my sleeping bag was extra large, which was true, and that is why it cost me more than I had expected. I felt a bit awkward to say the least. :/

Based on the other reviews on here, I had such high hopes! Probably 1.5 stars is appropriate for this place. Basically, the woman working the counter did not have a clue. She told me my shirts would be $ 2.25 ea when they turned out to be $ 3.25(pretty damn expensive for one shirt). She told me that I could not have my shirts boxed for travel, that I could only get them on hangers. Luckily the owner was there to correct her on this point. In addition, I dropped off clothes on a Monday and was told that they would be ready on Thursday at no specific time. I show up Thurs and they are not ready bc drop offs are at 5PM. Why this was not written on the slip, I have no idea. I finally was able to get my clothes on Friday. 5 days for dry cleaning? — I think not. The owner gave me a 10% coupon but I won’t be back. On a side note, the actualy quality of work was pretty good but the customer service was god-awful.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. Grace always does a great job and she’s built up a loyal clientel; but if you have a special order or want to make sure something is done a certain way or done well at all(which it always will be), make sure to speak to Grace herself. She’s so kind and so good at what she does, and there tends to be a lot more confusion when I have to deal with the other people on her staff. Seriously, this is the place to go. It’s affordable, well done, and they now do dry cleaning. I moved to Downey and I still take my things to Grace.
