Kevin and Eric are both awesome and extremely helpful. they really made the whole snorkeling experience fantastic however keep in mind all the spots they recommend are being recommended to everyone that goes to the store so expect the places to be busy

The Snorkel Store was awesome! Such friendly service, fitted our snorkel gear perfectly; which gave us a week of great gear to use all over Maui! These guys are hospitality to the T! I would highly recommend using them!

For first timers in Maui who have trouble understanding what to do apart from playing in the sea, The Snorkel Store is the answer. Not only did K2 help us with the snorkel rental, he helped us book an amazing snorkelling trip the next day. True example of how a business should treat customers!

We got our weeklong rentals from the Snorkel Store and were really pleased with our masks, snorkels and fins. I usually have some sort of issue with either leaking or fogging, but my mask stayed 100% clear the entire time I used it and I didn’t have any issues with leaking at all. We did the 2-​for-​1 deal we found online which also came with a boogie board.
Kevin assisted us with our rentals and gave us a map with tons of suggestions for lunch, dinner, happy hour, snorkeling, just about anything you could want to do. We kept this map on us at all times and used it as a lifeline during our visit to Maui. Even though we had all visited Maui before, Kevin gave us a ton of suggestions that we would’ve overlooked otherwise.
When snorkeling conditions were bad at our beach and the other 2 we went to scope out, we called the shop and they actually looked at all their beach cams and told us where to head. We went to the spot they recommended and enjoyed 2 hours of awesome snorkeling.
We previously rented from Snorkel Bob’s and had a less than pleasant experience there. We were so happy to find this place and will definitely rent from them next time we visit! The only «complaint» I would say we had is that we received 1 bottle of anti-​fog for 4 rentals. We were able to make it last and bummed some off the crew when we went on our snorkeling expeditions.

Superb. I have nothing negative about my experience. I booked a SUP on Monday for Wednesday, and a see-​through floaty board thingy for my wife who hates getting her face wet.
Within 5 minutes of placing the order online I got a phone call saying a driver could deliver the SUP within 30 minutes if I wanted it a day early (there were no time slots online). I took it. The driver met me at my hotel. The driver also picked it up from my hotel the next day.
The best part of the rental was the price and the employees. Price: my hotel tried to charge me the same per hour as I paid for one day at The Snorkel Store. The employees were very friendly and upon pickup of the floaty board, recommended places to use it that may be calmer than the black rock in front of our hotel.
I’d be happy sending any family or friends here and will be returning here for more, next time we come back to Maui.

Best place to get a 2-​for-​1 deal for snorkel gear! The staff was really nice and showed us good places to snorkel and recommended good happy hour restaurants.

One fish two fish red fish ALL THE FISH. As an avid snorkeler, novice Maui visitor this snorkel shop was the BEST find.
We arrived on the island on Wednesday afternoon, one of our first priorities was to rent snorkel equipment for the week-​we would be ready to swim with the fish and turtles at all times. The gentleman who helped and fitted us at our initial rental was full of knowledge and enthusiasm, it set the perfect tone for the rest of our trip. The gear was top notch, they fit the masks to your head, we never once experienced the gut wrenching doomed feeling of water creeping into the mask. In addition the flippers were lightweight and comfortable.
We trekked our gear all over this island, it was easy to throw over our shoulders or hook up to our backpacks so that we never missed a snorkel adventure at the end of a hike or climb.
Returning our equipment was fast and streamline; no hassle, no haggle. We will definitely return to the island and have every intention of renting from The Snorkel Store. Thank you guys for being such a blessing to our incredible trip!

Great guys, great gear, great experience!
We used the fins for our snorkel experience and the gear worked great. Not only that, the guy that works there gave us a great tip of a place to snorkel and it worked out amazingly.
Saw some really fish and even a couple honu!

We rented some boogie boards for a great price from here. We ended up booking an extra day in Maui and I forgot to return the boards on time. They were really cool and didn’t charge us a late fee or anything just paid the extra day! Thanks guys. We’ll definitely be back next time we are in Maui :)

You want to rent snorkle gear in Maui? Look no further. Seriously, don’t waste your time looking elsewhere. These guys are as friendly as it gets. We were in and out in about 10 – 15 minutes with all our gear, and even used a 2 for 1 online coupon. We were also given a low-​down on the cool snorkle areas and a map of the locations.
If/​WHEN we go back to to Maui, I will be surely head to the Snorkle Store. A+++++

So awesome! My friends and I wandered in here just to check out our options (we had been researching snorkeling stuff online already) and they hooked us up! They booked us a cheaper excursion that picks us up right at our beach, snorkel gear to boost our experience (super reasonably priced), and let us rent paddle boards ($ 45 for the whole day! The resort was $ 39 for 1 hour)! Before we left he brought out a map and marked all the good spots to visit and food to eat and stuff! It was so helpful I can’t even tell you. Definitely worth the stop in!

Kevin is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable about best places to snorkel! Good pricing, too. We will only rent gear from here on future Maui vacations!

Family and I just returned from Maui and as promised one of my first orders of business is to give these guys a solid review. Been to Hawaii several times and have always gotten gear from one of the two other outfits in Hawaii. There has always been something wrong whether a leaky mask or faulty something. And who’s got the energy to go back to the store, wait In their lines bla bla bla bla.
Anyway, tried the Snorkel Store and these guys were great. From the fit all the way to the return. AND their prices are much better than others.
On top of that, one of my sons was coming in from the ocean and slipped on some rock and had mask in hand so trying to break his fall the mask hit on a rock and broke the mask screen.
Thinking we’d be paying for a new mask, (sorry I didn’t get the name) the gentleman’s FIRST question was to make sure that my son was ok. NOT… sorry bro that’ll be $ 50 for a mask or NOT… you need to be more careful. He did not charge me for the mask replacement and chalked it up to accidents happen. That goes a long way with us as I was prepared to pay and although yes an accident, we still returned a broken mask.
Hats off to these guys and top notch for sure. Any future Hawaii treks, they have my business for sure.

Excellent customer service. I was here originally to purchase my first gear. Staff suggested me to rent first buy later to try out the gear. Great products and went back right away to make my purchase. Very friendly and helpful staff. The place is always busy! So you might have to wait a little bit before getting served though.

Stay away from their website and from that store.
I was looking for an «Outrigger Canoe Tour» their website says it is available (it says checking for availability and then say available; but it’s fake). The store person said it was not a live system; then they should pretend it is!
Then going to the store the person was very rude; made me wait for 1 hour and made fun of me for waiting! He took 10 persons that came after me before taking care of me which was just placing a quick phone call to figure out there was no availability! It looks like he knew there was not going to be availability so he didn’t care about me since there was no money to be made!

Snorkeling can be a wonderful meditation if your gear is good and cause terrible anxiety if the gear is bad. Skip the bad and go for the good for a good price!
We rented excellent snorkel gear at Kapalua Bay for $ 10 for half a day, and then terrible snorkel gear at Honua Kai (got money back). I finally found this shop and rented excellent quality gear for $ 25 for the week! We’ve hit multiple beaches with the family and all of us had fun. Kids too!

The Snorkel Store in Ka’anapali is the best place to get snorkel gear in all of Maui.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and provides insight on the best places to snorkel based on the current weather conditions.
They have new gear and great prices. They’re the only choice if you want to rent snorkel gear on Maui!
