We wanted to try food from Norway and didn’t realize why the reservations were so hard to get. So four of us adults went to dinner here with all of the princesses visiting.(It was a bit weird as they came from table to table to say hello, but they were good sports when we wished them a good evening and they moved on.) The food was awesome! It started with a cold salad, charcuterie type of set-up on a buffet, which included familiar and unfamiliar items. From there, I had the raviolis. They were out of this world. For dessert, they bring an assortment of items for the table to share, all of which were good.

I was happy to pay the price for our meal and the interactions with princesses. I can’t imagine waiting in the hot Florida sun trying to get my daughter to meet all her favorites! Luckily the majority of them were here — same experience as Cinderella’s Royal Table but for less money. We met Cinderella, Aurora, Mulan, Ariel and Belle. They do offer kids choices like mac n cheese and meatballs for the parents who are worried if their children will eat the food here. My husband and I were happy with our meal — I actually really enjoyed my ravioli. I was happy they had a vegetarian option for me! They offer a buffet or fresh things and various cheeses and cold cuts as well. I expect this place to become busier now that the new Frozen ride will be opening right next door from the restaurant entrance. Disney might be smart and even include Anna and Elsa in the meal and jack up the price. I would make reservations as early as possible and enjoy this not so busy but still FANTASTIC Disney Character dining experience.

One star is generous. For starters I made this«princess character» reservation because I assumed that we would be able to meet Anna and/or Elsa. Little did I know that the Norwegian princesses don’t actually go to the only Norwegian restaurant at WDW. Since assumptions are just that, I’ll take the blame… However the meatballs were horrendous. Makes ikea’s look like brunch at the Four Seasons. I traded it for a kids pizza… Do not go here for the food unless you like cold fish, stale bread, and a whole lot of bad Norwegian food. We also had a fire alarm go off complete with evacuation. With that said, the princesses not named Anna and Elsa are there and our waitress and manager were awesome. Every other character dinner(we did 4) was amazing. Just avoid this one unless you are desperate for a princess meet and greet.

This place is great. I honestly don’t know how the people who had dinner reservations said the food was anything worse than fantastic. While I feel like we were slightly judged by the wait staff for dining here as 3 adult women, it was well worth it. The food is amazing. The food is the same quality, if not better than Be Our Guest. The desserts were very good, and the characters came up and interacted with us even though we didn’t have children in our party. While the characters are a little rushed, they are trying their best to please the guests in the restaurant.(Also, Norwegians are cute? Why didn’t I know about this?) On a different note, Snow White, I’m sorry I was being weird, I was super tired and didn’t process what you said until a minute or two after you said it, I’m so sorry ;-;

Excellent way to avoid the huge lines for princess meet and greets. On our visit there were pictures at the door with Belle followed by Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella, and Ariel walking the floor. Aurora was really attentive with our daughter and led her through the princess procession, she is only 1. Food was actually very good for a Disney restaurant I had the roast beef dish and my wife had the pork chop. Both were very tender and had excellent flavor. The appetizer buffet was a little lacking in variety but my 5 year old loved it for the salami slices. This is a Disney sit down restaurant so expect a $ 200 bill for a family of 4 to eat. All of the on the park character dinners are very high priced.

I had mixed reviews about booking and reserving our time here, but I had to do it eventually for my two little toddlers. We were just basically coming here for the princesses, not for the food. There were so much negativity on the food, which was disappointing. However, I am reluctant and wishing for the best on our time here. I was able to get us in for a late dinner with the princesses. I really wasn’t expecting much and forewarned my husband that we maybe hungry afterwards and the big bill to come. There was a cold buffet, which was actually delicious. There was grilled asparagus, shrimp salad, cold cuts(we didn’t care much of), hot fresh bread, cold cooked salmon and other things which I cannot remember. All was delicious. Do not get filled up on this, for your food order will be abundant — of course you want to get your money’s worth here. I had ordered the Salmon dish and my husband had ordered the vegetarian dish — which was ravioli. My dish was wonderful, filling and delicious. I had just wished they had given me a bigger salmon fillet. My husband devoured his ravioli dish — I didn’t get to taste it, but he says it’s the 2nd best ravioli he’s had ever in his life. For my husband to say that means that the food was awesome. The princesses that came to thru for the evening was Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, Cinderella and Ariel. They came at different times to take pic with my kids. My girls enjoyed the little time the princesses came to our table. I just wished that the princesses stayed more than a minute and talked to them more than just take pictures. Overall, my girls had an excellent experience at this dining with the characters. Reservations are hard to come by, but keep checking every day/hour. Oh yeah, it’s expensive dining — our dinner bill came out to $ 175 with 20% tip.

Very good restaurant. The Disney characters were very polite and feminine and gave us good service. The guys were dressed very nice also. Loved the strawberry cakes and I’m not a big dessert person(whatever they’re called, I forget). The Disney servers brought us bacon, eggs and stuff while there was also a nice buffet. Left feeling very satisfied.

This place was all about the Princess procession! Belle?, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Ariel all make there way to each table to greet all of the other little princesses in the room. They pose for pictures and they are really beautiful. I found myself asking«How much is a princess at Disney paid?» and then I got my $ 424 bill! $ 54 per person just to sit at the table for the princesses. Multiply that by 7 people before your food order is placed and… yeah. After the quick stop at the table all of the kids follow the princesses in a procession around the room. Had I been a kid and didn’t have to pick up the tab, I probably would have loved this. The food was traditional Scandanavian food with a separate buffet in addition to the menu. The food was really good and so was the dessert! The drinks were strong(and pricey) and I’m 100% sure the kids were elated. The seating was pretty uncomfortable but this was a must do when consulting a friend(and Disney fanatic) who had been multiple times. All in all, I’m glad I went. Looks like the breakfast reviews were terrible. I’d recommend dinner. It went off without a hitch! Not so humbly submitted, King Michael C.

Sucks Unilocal makes you have to give a star! Stay away! We made reservations 5 months in advanced for cold scrambled eggs and undercooked sausage links? I get the whole«meet the princess» idea, but for a $ 385.00 breakfast tab, you’re better off braving the heat and long lines to meet your favorites somewhere else. Two out of my 3 kids didn’t even eat, yet they were charged $ 29 each to just sit there since they were part of the group. The food was blah, at best. They bring you out a «family size» portion, which is warm if you’re lucky. Then you ask for ketchup, another drink, salt, whatever, and by the time your waitress comes back, the food is cold. Tip was included in our bill, party of 9(5 kids under 8) and she had the nerve too add $ 50.00 tip in our bill! She brought out 1 wave a drinks and ketchup. No refills and a server brought the food. Sorry Disney, but I can get robbed for $ 385 somewhere a lot better than this in One of your attractions…

Welcome to Norway ! The appetizer is buffet style … Don’t eat too much which I did … then your server will take your order for your Entrée beef, chicken, pork and fish usually is salmon but don’t get the Salmon for your entrée because they have it on the buffet appetizer. lol … Served with potato and greens. Kids and the big kids going love this Place because the all the Disney Princess are here ! Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel and the bad ass Mulan ! … This is inside Epcot by the way… this is great if you have Dining plan

I’ve been to Akershus on several occasions. My most recent experience was for late breakfast on a Sunday morning. After checking in you are given a ticket and you get in line to meet Princess Belle. One time I was here and it was Aurora, but 90% of the time it is Belle. After taking your picture with Belle you are then shown to your table, where several other princesses come by. On this particular day it was Cinderella, Snow White, and Ariel. On previous occasions I have seen Jasmine, and Mulan here, but that was many years ago. Back in those days you also got a photo package with your meal. Disney cost cutting at its best y’all. For breakfast, there is a buffet that has cheeses, meats, smoked fish, and pastries. Then they bring out a platter with bacon, eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The buffet holds little charm for me. I ate some cheese, but I don’t eat seafood and cold cuts do not seem like breakfast food to me, though I have seen such items for breakfast in many locations in Europe. My boyfriend on the other hand was loving the fish, so to each his own. The platter was good. I don’t know why, but I was loving these eggs. They were really good, but the bacon was overcooked for me, and I prefer patty sausage to link sausage. I was completely unimpressed by the potatoes. The really unfortunate thing is the lack of Mickey waffles. All breakfasts at Walt Disney World should include Mickey waffles. I know that at one point they had them because I went once with a friend who is vegetarian so bacon, sausage, and fish weren’t working for her, so they brought some out, but this was probably about 8 years ago. On this trip I did not ask because we ate everything, but I really wish they just came as part of the platter. I’ve been here for lunch too, and I probably prefer breakfast. For lunch they still have the buffet with the meats, cheeses, and fish, but you order from a menu. I went once and had some kind of bbq type pork. My friends had the meatballs. It was ok. Essentially, you should come here because it is an awesome way to meet/greet princesses. You can get your picture taken with them. You can get autographs. You don’t have to stand in 45 minute lines. If you are looking for a spectacular meal, this is your last choice in Epcot. The food at Epcot is pretty spectacular overall and there are tons of options, so pick one of them instead.

We went here for the Princess dinner. I have a 6 year old daughter whose princess idealization started at age 2. She still adores them and had the most wonderful time at dinner. She literally jumped for joy when she realized Ariel(her favorite princess) was there. It was magical to see. Beyond that, we found the menu to be fairly inventive and delicious, inspired by Norway, the country in EPCOT where the restaurant sits. The braised beef, Cod, Meatballs and Porkchop were all winners. The kids loved their mac and cheese. They also have a great salad bar before dinner that we enjoyed. The grilled asparagus and caramelized goat cheese were the winners there. By far, our favorites were the desserts though — a traditional Norwegian rice pudding, apple cake with salted caramel sauce and chocolate mousse cake. The service was good — all students from Norway. Our waitress Martine was quite open to share her experiences in her country with us which we appreciated. This experience is not cheap at all — you are paying for the experience for sure. But, seeing your little ones spend time with their idols in not something anyone can put a price tag on.

My boyfriend made reservations for a breakfast buffet. When you first enter you get to meet Belle and take pictures with her. As for the rest of the princesses, they visit each table to chat, sign autographs and take pictures. The food: The food at the buffet table were a mixtures of cheese, pickled fish, smoked salmon, pastries, bagels, fruits and yogurts. The pastries were moist and fluffy. The Mickey Mouse waffles were amazingly fluffy and delicious! The waiter/waitresses would serve a plate full of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and potato casserole. The casserole was so cheesy! I loved it. There was a tangy and sweet pomegranate lemonade they had as well. The décor: Not very memorable. Wooden floors, stone walls, tables with chairs and booths. The entertainment: I got to meet Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Snow White and Aurora. They were all very sweet. The princesses would gather all the younger children to walk in a line around the restaurant — it was very cute. Price: get ready to fork up $$$, my boyfriend spent ~$ 45/adult. It was a fun experience, I would go again with my niece and nephew. It is a better option for meeting characters instead of waiting 30 – 45 minutes in line at the parks. Only do this if you have time and money to spare.

My second favorite Experience at Disney(the first being the Cinderella castle). Be prepared for a wait and make sure you book in advance and try to take into consideration the firework showtime when ur booking !! Book early then leave in time to see the fireworks show! So you can get it all in ! Bring your signature books because you will meet a lot of princesses ! Each princess will come to your table to take a photo and sign ur book. The food is unusual and very good! Hearty meals! U will start at the salad bar and end with a variety of authentic desserts! There are several selections for your entrée. Great times even though you always feel rushed at most Disney dining experiences ! The lady who seated us was a very rude because I misplaced a very small Piece of paper they gave me like an hour and a half ago when I signed in !! It kind of put a bad taste in our entire experience that evening ! My daughters were also worried with her lack of kindness and disrespect! I said«I’m sorry I must have misplaced the paper«and she replied«well that’s your problem and u need it to get in «» even thou I have my bracelet on that says who I am and can be scanned to confirm that we had reservations! I then requested promptly for a manager !!! –at that point it was taken care of ! She snarled at us, as my children took photo with belle fearfully ! Ugh not a Disney experience to say the least — but what I had to go thru for my girls to see the princesses

I wasn’t thrilled with the food but I imagine that most come for the captive princesses :) we did a dinner here and the appetizer buffet had good variety and the desert sampler was also good. Dinner itself was OK but nothing special. Service was adequate but also nothing phenomenal. I guess I don’t blame then though, almost everyone was there for the princesses.

While in Disney we chose Akershus for a dinner meal. We made our reservations 180 days in prior to our vacation. Since we have a princess loving daughter and had heard mixed reviews of Cinderella’s Royal table we thought this could be a nice alternative. When we arrived we waited about fifteen minutes outside before being called. When you are called there is a line for a photographer and in our case it was with Belle. Then we were taken to our seats. Our waiter told us about the appetizer buffet and had us get started there. It had some meats, cheeses, and salads on the bar. Shortly after we visited the dessert bar they announced a princess parade. They had all the children come up and walk around the dining area with the princesses. They were very keen all stay i their seat as the princesses would make it around. Well… not quite. They princesses and children did a big circle. If you are sitting in a corner you won’t see them. The princess experience compared to other character meals as well as the princesses at Storybook Hall was subpar. There was Mulan, Ariel, Belle, and Cinderella the evening we visited. The interaction was okay when they came to our table, but I felt my daughter had much better interaction at the magic kingdom. In addition the lighting there in the evening is somewhat dim. I couldn’t get very good pictures of princesses with my daughter as the lighting was very poor. The food was just okay. There really wasn’t anything that wowed me. I had the braised beef. My husband had the meatballs. My son had the steak and my daughter had the salmon. Dessert came out in a trio for the table to share. There was an apple pastry dessert, and norwegian«ice cream» and a chocolate mousse cake. The chocolate mousse was pretty decent. The ice cream had a weird texture to it that I did not care for, but my husband. Would I go back? No.

I read a lot of reviews prior to eating here and there were some that loved it and I was surprised to see a lot that hated it. I can say my husband and I really liked it! It is roughly $ 60 a person but you get tons of food! This is actually a princess meet and greet in Epcot and it was a little awkward being two adults without kids. When you walk in they immediately take your picture with Belle and then seat you. We were placed at a small table next to the kitchen and the buffet so I did feel like I was in the way of servers and guests trying to get to the buffet. The princesses come around to every table for pictures and even though we didn’t take pics they still said a few lines to us. Although Cinderella was not the nicest, she had a smirk on her face and I saw her snap at a little girl. Everyone else was very nice! They do a cute parade with all the kids in the restaurant as well, and a coordinator also comes over to make sure you saw each princess. Our server was so sweet, very attentive and made conversation. We each ordered and drink. I got the Banfi Rosa Regale which she warned me was sweet and it was exactly what I wanted. It reminded me of a sparkling moscato. For the appetizer, you eat from the buffet bar. It’s filled with bread, salad, shrimp, salami slices, turkey slices, multiple cheeses, smoked and poached salmon, veggies and peppered mackerel. I enjoyed the mackerel which I’d never had before. I loved the smoked salmon! Even better was the Gjetost cheese which tasted like peanut butter! For the main course you can choose one entrée from a list of seven. My husband and I each got the red wine braised beef. The red wine was infused in the beef which gave it a sweet taste. This meat was so tender a knife was not needed but it was fatty, I could only eat about half of it. It came with garlic and cheddar mashed potatoes and carrots which were fine but nothing special. Dessert was a chocolate mousse cake which was smooth and decadent! It also came with an apple strudel and rice pudding with strawberries. The rice pudding was good but I would have liked it better had it been sweetened. I couldn’t have the apple strudel due to my cinnamon allergy but my husband said it was the best he’d ever had. Instead they brought me a dish of raspberry sorbet which I’ve had at other Disney restaurants as a dessert alternative. It’s actually very good, packed with flavor. I liked that all the desserts were half the size of a full dessert so it was plenty to share. Overall I liked the food and could have done without the princesses, so maybe next time I’ll need to find a kid.

This was a nice table service option to meet all of the princesses. They had a very organized process which allowed you to dine in just over an hour. The cold appetizer buffet is AWESOME. I loved the cocktail shrimp and shrimp salad. I got full off of the cold bar which was ok since I did not enjoy my entrée. The bar served up tasty drinks which was a welcomed thing in the stressful environment which is princess meals. The kids all got pizza which they enjoyed. I got the potato pasta with a balsamic reduction and I found the dish to be lacking but our waiter was quick to offer me another selection. The husband and sister in law both got a sandwich which they liked. The dessert sampler was really good and not too heavy. I would recommend Akershus if you want a good experience with decent food!

Went for Breakfast, and I was ripped off!!! Sorry Disney, this was not worth the $ 94 for two for a platter of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries w/cheese…(they did give us a loaf of bread with drizzled with chocolate, and coffee size cup of fruit(for two). I had to beg for some Salmon! Never again would I go back to Akershus. I thought I would get some more Norwegian food??? If you have no kids, and don’t care about the princesses… SKIP this place! If you want to make it right Disney, send me up a package of Salmon!

Dinner was a great treat! Throughout dinner, we were sure to meet & greet 5 princesses. Belle was in the photo section at the front of restaurant. Princesses Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella and Ariel greeted each table throughout dinner and there was a Princess procession for the children too. My son(9 years) and niece(4 years) enjoyed it. The manager will come and make sure every princess visits your table so you get what you pay for! It beats waiting in the 30+ minute lines in the heat to see a princess(around the parks). About the food and staff: Food is a set price. You get the appetizer buffet, a choice of an entrée, dessert and drink(water, soda, milk included in the price). Any special drinks or alcoholic beverages were additional costs. Kids’ meals are not the same price as adult meals as their portions are not the same. Appetizer buffet was superb! Everything was so fresh and there was quite a bit of a variety for an «appetizer» buffet. There was poached salmon, smoked salmon(with dill sauce), cured meats, cheese, chicken salad, pasta salads, different fruit salads, 3 different types of baguettes(bread), grilled asparagus(delicious!), ETCETC, just to name a few! My son devoured the chicken salad! Our whole party of 11 agreed that the appetizer buffet was filling as well as fulfilling! Entrees were O-K, but for theme park food, it was much higher than the average. I’m rating 5 stars for the appetizer buffet and experience. Service was spot on. Nothing great. Princesses were great though, played their parts so well, but I don’t count them as staff. Lol. Our reservation was for 8:10 pm. We checked in at 7:40 hoping to get seated earlier to make it out for the illuminations show at 9’pm but we had to wait. When they called us in, I looked at the time and it was 8:10 exactly. Talk about prompt! Many people I saw tried to come in early but everyone is seated at their correct time. If your entire party isn’t present, you won’t be able to check-in. If you’re in disney world, especially with a child, this is definitely a place to experience!
