I dropped in for the first time to sight-in my rifle for deer hunting. The staff made me feel welcome even though I told them it was my first time visiting a gun club. I was given all the instructions I needed to get up to speed and when I did make a mistake keeping my action open, the Range Safety Officer was right there to help me out. Great location, close to the city and very easy to find just north of the freeway.

Oh, the gun range. A place to go for one purpose — shoot your gun. Excellent experience. It was my first time there and I felt really comfortable the entire time. All the rules and expectations are set up quite clearly(as they should be with live ammunition) and there really is no room for error. They are helpful, ensuring all questions are answered. While on the range the assistants were there to help me dial in my scope, talk about what’s needed and ideas to hit a better shot. All in all, I really enjoy this place and am feeling good about my rifle I haven’t used in years.

I’ve been a member at OGC for 8 years now. It’s a wonderful place for shooting sports. There is a 25 yd, 50 yd, 100 yd, 200 meter, 25⁄50 yd comp range and a trap shooting area. I shoot all types of weapons, but trap is my thing. There is a Thursday night Trap shoot which is open to the public after 4:00pm. It’s low key and full of a great mix of folks. At $ 6 a round, it’s the cheapest trap in the cities and in a beautiful setting. Members pay a mere $ 2 a round! The membership is as wide a variety of walks of life as you’d see anywhere. Members are respectful and everyone there is more than willing to let you try out what they’re shooting should you show the slightest amount of interest. This place is certainly no «good old boys club» what with many ladies shooting and firearms safety classes offered to kids. Try it out some time, it’s a blast!
