No burritos are you kidding me?! If you want the best breakfast burritos in south county go to ELMOLINO in SANJUANCAPISTRANO … New location in Lake Forest is obviously for burrito haters only.

Do yourself a favor and visit this Mexican bakery. Go. Now. Are you there? Ok. Now, order anything, literally anything, off the menu and enjoy. You’re welcome. This location is a smaller version of their San Juan location, but still packs the great quality of baked goods than of the OG location. They don’t offer the extended menu options that the SJ location does, but this allows them to focus on their specialty: baked deliciousness. I’ve had their tres leches, rosca, and countless versions of pan Dulces and they’re ALL delicious! Their rosca is by far the best I’ve had! I’ve also had their breakfast Bolillo’s are also flavorful and beyond worth the $ 3.75(TOPS! $ 3.75, people!!)! They’re made fresh and served warm and just melt in your mouth. You cannot go wrong with this bakery. So, go. Eat. Enjoy. You’re welcome :)

El Molino Lake Forest is just as good as the San Juan location, I only wish they served the wide variety of food found at the other location. The pastries were fresh and tasty and the flan(as always!) was to die for. They have the best flan in the OC! Don’t walk, run, to El Molino!!!

I was looking for a bread at the Indian store nearby and it was out of stock. I decided to experiment. The bread I was looking for was non sweet and soft, preferably fluffy like a hawain roll. I bought a single piece of Talera, tasted it outside and right then it hit the spot for the flavor and texture I was looking for, not as fluffy, but the first two were pretty much top of the spectrum. I bought 7 more and totally relished it with a Indian fast food called Paav Bhaaji

I love the quality and the prices. Great pan dulce is hard to come by. I also enjoy the the staff is very friendly and accommodating. My husband loves their jalapeño bread and lately they’ve been out every time we stop by. Today I called and they saved the last two for me for quite a few hours. Cannot ask for more!

My daughter’s school holds a yearly«International Day» event and there has never been a Latin American or Mexican booth represented. I decided to change that and spearhead an effort to have one this year(my daughter is bi-racial). I initially had no idea what to do and one night while having dinner at Taco Mesa in Mission Viejo I decided to serve pan dulce(sweet bread). I approached the owner and asked him if he had any recommendations and he suggested El Molino De Oro in Lake Forest. I emailed El Molino de Oro via Unilocal and got a response from Alex a few days later. Alex was more than willing to work with me! I needed enough pan dulce to serve approximately 800 students! I realize that this is a small business so I wasn’t expecting to get all the bread for free. We worked out a deal and I was able to get 200 pieces of pan dulce for less than $ 100. I ended up cutting each piece of bread into 4 pieces(sample size) and it worked out perfectly because in the end I ended up with 800 sample size pieces. Just enough for the student body at my daughter’s school. The children LOVED the pan dulce and it was great exposing some children whom may have otherwise never tasted pan dulce to this delicacy! We got great feedback on the bread(tasty, soft, fresh & warm). My daughter told me that the next day at school that’s all the kids were talking about! I can’t thank Alex from El Molino enough for helping to make the Latin America/Mexican booth a success at International Day! Muchas Gracias!!!

Best Mexican bakery in Lake Forest. Use to have to go to the one in San Juan Capistrano to get my favorite jalapeño cheese breads. Now they are here and also fresh made tortillas just like the one in San Juan use to have. What I was really takin a back to was Cinnamon Rolls? I have had some from Cinnabon, T.J. Cinnamon. These are some of the best I’ve ever tried. Awesome place.

As far as Mexican breads go, El Molino has it down. I love all of their pastries, and the stuffed rolls with jalapeño and cheese. I’ve also tried their fresh juices, and watched them squeeze those oranges right on the spot. Mostly I go for the fresh warm tortillas. Keep in mind that they are frequently out of just about everything, and often have a hard time keeping up with demand. If you go there any day after 5pm or so, it’ll be packed with local Hispanics lined up with their trays of baked goods. I asked the counter lady once why it was so busy, and she said it was like that at this time every day, just after folks got off work. Makes sense. Get there early.

Quick update: Their corn tortillas are great. I’ll have to check them out again. I’m still not sold on the baked goods I tried there. They may not be my thing or I could have tried the wrong ones for me. I do like their tortillas, which brings their 3 star rating to a 4.

This is a small bakery with a friendly staff. The have a cooler with milk as well. The pastries are typical for a Mexican Bakery but they are also one step above the baked goods in many other places. I like the Fruit filled ones, and the large elephant ears. They also have good dinner rolls, albeit a little dry. Get what ever recently came out of the over. They also have butter that will melt all over it. Yum.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Worst service ever I went in twice to see if I could get my brothers birthday cake and the lady with orange curly hair said that they couldn’t take my order. Wtf is she doing in there then? What kind of person can’t write down the order on a piece of paper to give to the baker? It’s common sense. And the cake that we wanted wasn’t even hard all we asked for was a plain white cake with 3 colors on the border and happy birthday in the middle it’s not hard to do so my mother and I will be doing our cake now thanks for the sucky ass service«Molino» never coming back here and I’ll make sure to call and talk to the manager! Thanks for nothing. !!DONOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACE!

They serve up a bevy of typical Mexican breads, cakes, and wonderfully fresh tortillas. They do fresh jugos as well, and squeeze them out on the spot. Love this little place. It’s my go to place for tortillas from now on.

I think its from the same owner of san Juan capistrano location. They’re serving the same great bread for now. I see fresh tortillas making machine inside but its currently not in production yet. They’re putting grease receptor in the front so I’m expecting them to make some great grub too. Glad they’re here!!!
