Modern Image Beauty Supply & Salon

I’ve been coming to Modern Image for years — even after moving to Orange I still make the drive out because I love the service. I go to Breanna… she’s amazing. You know those hair stylists that just «get» what you’re thinking and talking about when trying to explain a hair concept? That’s her. I trust her with more than my life: my hair! I always arrive feeling welcome and leave feeling satisfied by all the staff. Definitely would recommend!

I have problem hair – dry, color treated, and tends to get frizzy in humid weather. I had been to Modern Image in the past but just to buy products. This time I asked the woman behind the counter (wish I’d gotten her name, because she was great) to recommend some products for my kind of hair. What she picked out for me has worked wonders on my hair. Plus I received $ 10.00 off my purchase. Needless to say I will be back!

Very deceiving from the outside. This a good size salon and beauty supply. Loan has been my stylist for about 4 years and this is her new home. Everyone seems super sweet and helpful!

Stopped here after getting Phở at Phở Majestic next door, Some of their sales are really good, I got a great deal on shampoo and conditioner from Kenra, but I agree with the over reviewer that said they felt like the associates treated you like thieves. I wouldn’t return to their store, but the deal I received was decent

I go to this store all the time, i want to try the Salon & went for a hair cut and Ashley did a great job, she very nice & has the best customer service. It was a little pricey though.

If you need waxing done, do it here! the esthetician Vicky is the best! She is very sweet and nice to talk to. I have very complicated eye brows to wax and she was able shape them just the way I wanted them, for a great price too. Clean and very comfortable environment. It’s also a beauty supply and hair/​nail salon. They have all the best hair products you can buy.

I LOVE this store and the people there are so helpful. I don’t know which store SS 0 went too, but it wasn’t this store!!! I have filled out so many cards and they keep giving me product. The owner is delightful as I have known him for many years in that great store! I know there are MANY places to shop for goods like Modern Image sells, but, the customer service keeps me coming back! Thanks you guys.

I am so happy that I decided to wander in this morning. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for Epicuren skin care products, and they carry them. Whoo-​hoo!

I bought a few of the OPI Muppets nail polishes with a coupon and then got the exact same ones from my mom as a gift that night (they’re limited edition and I had been talking about them for months!) so I went back the next day to return them.
The middle aged woman in the front who had sold them to me said they didn’t take returned polish and I told her I had not been informed of that when I bought them. She said «well we have signs posted…» and wandered off to the displays (not even the one I actually got the polishes from) and looked around for a sign that wasn’t there. I told her I was definitely returning them and that I wanted to speak to a manager if she wouldn’t help me. She said she could give me store credit at best and I said that wasn’t acceptable. I paid cash and I expect cash back since 1. nobody said anything about them being nonrefundable, 2. there is nothing posted anywhere about that rule, and 3. they were brand new and unopened.
I told her I would be away on vacation for a couple of weeks and that I made the trip to the store specifically to return them. She said a manager wouldn’t be in that day and then had the nerve to actually QUESTION whether or not I was really going to be out of town. I asked for a number to reach the manager at and she refused and said he would be in later in the week and I could come by again. Good plan, except I was gone… like I said I would be.
I have called a couple of times looking for help and have not gotten any kind of reloution so far. Therefore, this review stands as a testament to my poor experience with Modern Image. If anything changes about this situation, I may edit my post to update readers.
But for now, stay away. They’re unprofessional and there are a million other places (Ulta, Sephora, etc.) that offer coupons and rewards AND actually inform customers about policies, though they take returns anyway.

This is the best beauty supply in all of orange county! Everyone that works in this supply and salon is so experienced and knowledgable. The owner is extremely fair and their return policy is amazing!

There are a few other stores in the area that sell beauty and salon supplies but I like this store much better as they keep it very well stocked with products.
I mainly browse the hair care side so I’m not sure what they offer on the beauty side, but from walking past it looks like they have great products there too. The hair side has so many choices it is hard to choose but the sales associates are very nice and will help you find what you need.
In the local flier that is sent out in the mail every month it seems they always have a 20% coupon off of things in the store, but you do have to be careful what you want to get with it. One time I wanted to purchase a bundled shampoo+conditioner package but the coupon isn’t good on those as they’re already discounted. Either way they’re the only store I know that puts out coupons for products.
I would definitely recommend this store to any one who is looking for a great salon store.
