Play it Again Sports has been around since 1983. They have over three hundred stores in this country and a couple of dozen in Canada. The exact number seems to change from month to month because this type of store seems to flick in and out and changes locations quite frequently.
Play it Again Sports is known for selling used sporting equipment but most stores have just as much new stuff as used. All kinds of different things for golf, baseball, hockey, skating, biking, running and exercising. The items differ greatly from store to store and even from time to time so you never know exactly what you will find.
This particular store had a sundry collection of stuff scattered about but seemed to emphasize fitness equipment. Various exercise machines and some free wights took up a large portion of the store and of course on the used machines the prices were substantially less than what you would pay on something brand new. Perhaps the folks in this part of Florida are into fitness or it’s possible that’s just what happened to be there when I went in.
The store was clean and pretty well organized considering how much stuff, some of quite large and heavy, was crammed in there. The staff that I met weren’t exactly friendly but they were competent and professional. Play it Again Sports is a type of place that you just never know. You might find what you are looking for or maybe you won’t. Then again you just might end up finding something you weren’t looking for at all.
