No one ever wants to be in this situation, but when I took my 13.5-year-old Golden Retriever in to Lake Oswego Veterinary Emergency for trouble breathing last month, I could not have hoped for or imagined a kinder, more compassionate, more capable veterinarian than Dr. Cheryl Roth. She was amazing; she cried with me, held my hand, offered me a comfort room, and guided me though every step of the heartbreaking goodbye as I sang my sweet old girl to sleep. I can’t fathom that there’s a better doctor out there. Thank you, Dr. Roth; you are a credit to your profession and your community.
