The service is too bad. Also, the food prices and taste is not good at all. I have experience with Iranian food and this is the worst.

One of the best Persian food anywhere on planet, their Kabobs are great and live Steven their server. I also enjoyed smoking hookah here, I will come back again and again.

Great Persian food and good value too. The lunch buffet has a lot of options and it is only $ 9.99.

We were told by their staff that there would be a family-friendly party on New Year’s eve. We reserved a table SEVERALWEEKS in advance. Now on the DAYOF new year(12⁄31) they call us to tell us it is 21 and over so we can’t take our kids. We have no babysitter and now its too late to find another place. We are stuck at home now thanks to the incompetence of their staff.

Lunch buffet was ok, for Persian in a Persian restaurant the buffet was all over the place(different foods). The ghorma sabzi was not good, however they did make a fresh stick of koobideh kabob for me. I am trying their dinner tonight chicken barg and koobide. I give the lunch buffet 2 stars, dinner 4 stars, service 2 stars. Price for quality and value I give 2 star, I think they need to come down a couple bucks on most of their items.

Very unreliable hours… They open and close randomly and do not stick to their advertised hours at all. About the food: Portions are fairly large and quality is definitely good but the food is overpriced. I have been to many Mediterranean and eastern places in general and the food here is about 40% more expensive than most other places that serve the same quality. Service: The waiters weve had have been attentive and nice. However I categorize reliability as service as well and this location can close as early on a day they advertise to be open, or chose to not be open at all on a day that they normally have been open. This means you absolutely MUST call every time before you go. Overall we will not be back, there are better locations for this type of food.

Location is somewhat difficult to find, but the Buffet is definitely worth it. Restaurant was bigger than I expected, and looked to be an occasional nightlife/music/karaōke venue, with a full bar. I was surprised as well with the larger than usual number of buffet items, which I found to be all very good, better than most. The Curried Fish was fantastic! I especially liked the other boneless meat items rather than the usual haphazardly cut with sharp points. I was disappointed the Naan was not warm and soft, and the tandoori chicken was somewhat dry. Service was attentive and friendly, and not intrusive.

This place was lovely! I’m Persian from Los Angeles, so it was great finding a place in Oregon that serves Persian food! My only complaint would be that they don’t serve Tahdig(essential Persian appetizer) or mast e mousir/mast o khiar(common Persian yogurt appetizers) Otherwise the kabob was surprisingly tasty and I would definitely come back again when in town!

This place use to be called Kolbeh, They have had a lunch brunch that I have ate at probably 30 – 50 times. The food is fresh, tasty, and filling. The only thing: I use to LOVE eating the kebab, and now they only give you one piece. That being said, its a big piece and its fresh and hot off the grill and not a part of the buffet. It isn’t out there so if you read my review, don’t forget to mention it while you’re getting lunch. It’ll be the capstone to your experience. — A

Wow. Really terrible experience. The worst in many ways. If you find yourself unlucky enough to be in this place, be prepared for the following: 1. An empty lunch buffet– there was nothing but rice and salad. When we asked the server when they would replenish it, she informed us «we’re out, there’s no more». There was literally nothing left aside from unkempt salad and rice at 1:47pm(the lunch service closes at 3pm) 2. The absolute worst customer service– not only was the server utterly unhelpful and rude, she did not bother to take drink orders or bring silverware to the table. Apparently, she was too busy flirting with two guys at another table to be concerned about the rest of the place. 3. Crazy charges on your bill– we were charged for items we did not order and we had to argue with the above mentioned server to straighten out our bill. We(and several others from what I observed) were treated like an annoyance and a bother– not as if we were paying customers. I can’t say much about the food,(considering there wasn’t any), but I can emphatically say that I will make damn sure I never go back. I really thought for a minute that someone was going to jump out with a camera and tell me I was being punked. This place was a joke.

*******Kolbeh is now reincarnated as Pasha FYI. First off you will want to set your GPS for Walter Mitty’s because this place does not show up on the map depending on what you are using. I almost want to give Pasha lunch deal/this place a 5⁄5. I think it is one of the best things I have experienced so far in 2015. We have been there 2x’s in the last couple of weeks. I can see myself becoming a regular patron of this place. The lunch deal can’t be beat. The off the skewer chicken kabobs the first time we went were off the hook! I craved it. The next time we went however, it seems that they got the meat too close to the flame because it had a scorched taste to it. That and the ran out of grape leaves that week for their lunch and substituted beets which were nothing outstanding. Chicken Shwarma, meatballs and some sort of seasoned? curry? fish also available as for the meat selection. They also had an eggplant dish, seasoned yummy slaw, bread, great hummus, lentil dish, two different kinds of rice, salad w/homemade dressing, various kinds of vegetables. The lasagna is better some weeks not so great others. I suspect they switch off family members of who is cooking on certain days??? They do have soup available on the lunch deal but it is across the room from the buffet so keep your eyes peeled for the pot. I suspect it is because they ran out of outlets on that side of the room so they have it plugged in close to the bar. The Décor: They have a lovely patio out back next door to Walter’s Patio. The interior has a full bar plenty of seating and is painted in theme to fit Pasha’s owners country of origin. They have belly dancing at night on weekends here. I see posters in the window for an 80’s night. They have a dance floor area and If I recall correctly a DJ& stage area. You are prob best to phone the Pasha to find out what entertainment they have going on that weekend as I am hard pressed to find any solid info online about it. Sometimes you may find an event calendar on their FB under their former listing of Kolbeh. Ancient Persian Secret…

As a child, we used to go to the old restaurant that was in this location all the time. We hadn’t been back in years but we went last night! Boy I am glad we did! The waiter was very friendly and had a good sense of humor, the food was delicious, and the company was the best! I will definitely be back for some Persian food. I got the beef soltani — 1 skewer of filet mignon and 1 skewer of ground beef, the food melted in my mouth! There are only a few Persian food restaurants in Portland, so I would recommend trying this one! They also have a hookah lounge outside, if you’re looking for some hookah fun!

This is a great restaurant for anyone wanting to embark on a culinary adventure! Persian food, in general, is delicious, Pasha takes it to a whole other level. I would recommend the chicken soltani. It comprises of a heaping pile of fluffy rice, grilled tomato, well seasoned chicken kabob along with a juicy ground beef kabob. The shirazi salad is also scrumptious. Generally no need for reservations and they have a full bar. If it’s a nice day out ask to sit on the patio among the trees. It appears they also host parties so keep that in mind! Make you next culinary trip abroad to Pasha!

Portland has a lot of culinary options but ethnic buffets featuring the foods of Mediterranean Europe and the Middle East are not a strong point. As for Italian buffets, there is Nonna Emilia’s in Beaverton /Aloha and possibly one or two more. As for Greek buffets at exclusively Greek restaurants, there are none that I am aware of. However, learning of Pasha, a Mediterranean buffet with a Persian bent, from a resident of SW Portland was indeed welcomed. Note that Pasha also offers a regular menu and also features a bar. Pasha sits smack on the border of Lake Oswego, and its Mountain Park development, and SW Portland’s West Portland Park neighborhood. While there may be a sizable community college nearby, Pasha sits in a wood shingled shopping center surrounded by tall evergreens, shrubbery, enough parking, and a quiet atmosphere, both outside and inside the restaurant. As for claiming to be Mediterranean food, I’d say Pasha hits a solid middle ground as to what its buffet features. Mediterranean food, if not termed Greek food, can be the foods of Lebanon, Jordan, and adjacent countries, where preparation and seasonings are similar. What Pasha does is pull in some foods from points west, such as meatballs and lasagna, and some items such as its chicken kabob and a yogurt with spinach and dill that are Persian in their inspiration. The lunch buffet costs $ 9.99. I helped myself to 2 plates. The first consisted of various salads, this Persian yogurt, hummus, and a small bowl of tomato based soup. The second consisted largely of their chicken kabob, in which the individual pieces were tender and very nicely seasoned. The server was very personable. The first thing I asked is which dishes contained curry so I could avoid them. I was quickly informed there was one of two types of rice and one of two types of potatoes that contained this spice that I detest. That said, everything else was very satisfactory and seasoned and spiced to my liking. Note that they don’t have much in the way of desserts other than chocolate chip cookies but, given what they put out on the buffet line, there is NOTHING to complain about. It’s a very good value. In Los Angeles, I’ve had Greek food and Lebanese food, but never Persian food. This is surprising since the Southland has an Iranian population numbering about half a million and an Iranian lady cutting my hair once laughed, also claiming to hail from«Teherangeles.» I’ve always loved that nickname! Another tidbit of trivia is that, just like Brazilians have adopted the word«ciao» to say goodbye, Iranians will say«merci» for thank you, though there is an official word in Farsi to express gratitude. I learned this from a nearby patron, which also means that, if Iranians eat here, that’s a very good sign. You will feel full, but in a good way. You won’t need a nap and you won’t be that zapped of energy. Instead, you may be pondering your next trip and wanting to tell people you know about Pasha … buffet and otherwise.

Surprisingly good. The dinner menu is limited in selection a lot of beef which I don’t eat. We had the chicken kabob platter. It came with diced eggplant dish(not babaganoush), hummus, tomatoes, domate, cucumber & what we though we’re Greek olives. NOPE black olives — strange. All good except the olives. The grill chicken kabob was amazing!!! Our yogurt cucumber salad was yummy. The sabzi salad — we thought was diced up & mixed together. NOPE, it was whole radishes, half an onion, cubes of feta & probably the equivalent of a whole basil plant on the stems. It was good just surprising how it was served. We would defiantly come back.

So nice to see Pasha in business again! Went by Saturday night and it was a great experience. Harry(the owner) gave me a big hug — he always makes his patrons feel like a million bucks. The people are so nice. Showed up late so no chance to get some great food, but looking forward to going back. Really missed the great atmosphere and music.

Went in for the lunch buffet, mostly us and a few elderly folk. The server was super nice and I liked the quiet environment although it seemed somehow a bit well not so happy there. The food was disappointing though, although they had some Mediterranean basics like pita and hummus none of it was very tasty or inspired and many of the dishes were just basic food that wasn’t Mediterranean at all like regular salads, mashed potatoes, white fish etc. Maybe dinner is better but I can’t say I’d want to come back here to find out.

This places really kicks butt ! This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Portland area. My middle eastern friend told me that this place has the best middle eastern food in the entire Portland Metro area. He had told me the name of the place was Kolbeh. When we arrived, we could not find Kolbeh. But, we saw Pasha. Was told that the owners changed the name, but the owners are the same and the food is the same. There were a lot of middle eastern people, so we knew we came to the right place. Starting from the appetizer, everything was just perfect. We had Baba Ganoush, Hummus, Chicken Kebabs, Tabouli, and another kind of stew like dish(can’t remember the name) with saffron rice. I was so impressed with Tabouli. Probably the best I’ve had all these years. The service was excellent and the waitress was very knowledgeable about the food.(Thinking maybe, owner’s daughter).

Pasha is directly above PCC Sylvania in Mountain Park Plaza, which seems to have a few offices and businesses. The space was formerly held by a restaurant named Kolbeh. They serve Mediterranean and Persian food and their obvious desire for authenticity seems to be paying because you see the kind of designs we have come to associate with them. Their patio is large and the trees are tall. What really made me enter was the $ 10 lunch buffet that I just saw after deciding to eat in the plaza. After walking through a doorway into a large room, I was seated fairly quickly. The place is fairly informal and with a large, but often unoccupied bar, so I did have to ask for my drink, but the refill was offered. The music was authentic, appropriate in volume and it was used in a way that adds to the experience as opposed to the carts downtown that play loudly. The pictures of the Middle East and trees, combined with the well-kept tables made the atmosphere flawless. I went up to the buffet soon after I was seated. It was two tables and it had chicken kabobs, meatballs, beef cutlets, authentic hummus and tandori, lasagna, multiple kinds of rice and pita. The food was very good, not just for a buffet. The lasagna was great, the kabobs were tender, the meatballs were flavorful and the sauces made it work. I loved going back for seconds and I would have gone back for thirds had I not been in such a hurry. After that, I walked up and paid with my total being $ 13. The food was full of flavor for such a small price and the atmosphere was special. They were very friendly and the place is full of fun. Their patio seemed to be a place that I would enjoy with a group of friends and I saw some people with a group of friends. Their seating and tables are arranged in style, which Pasha showed consistently. I don’t know how good their full restaurant menu for sit down is, but I welcome others to find out. Pasha is unequivocally worthy of recommendation.
