The Harvest Wine Bar is a perfect neighborhood spot to have great wine served by someone who is extremely knowledgeable about wines(Eric) but at the same time, is the total opposite of a wine snob. The food is small plates, which in these days of getting enough food for 3 on a plate served for dinner, is a welcome change and, BTW, is always good. Love the Mac & Cheese and Salmon, to name a few. It is a fun atmosphere and we always feel welcome.

Came during a wine tasting night and I’m sure glad I did! This place feels like a family room filled with great friends! There was two wine experts on hand giving splendid advice, Pinot noir Jolete and it’s the perfect pairing with my bacon Mac and cheese. They also make a healthy all veggie/fruit smoothie that I enjoyed earlier today for a very reasonable price. Friendly quick staff.

Delightful family-owned wine bar that offers the best of all worlds — impeccable wine selection complemented by great small plates, affordable bottle pricing, spacious layout & patio seating, tasteful décor, friendly staff(shoutout to Caleigh), and extremely knowledgeable & perceptive owners in Eric and Theresa. I’ve been to several of their Wednesday wine tasting events, and gotten to taste some wonderful flights of local Oregon/Washington, California(Russian River, Paso Robles) and European wines. Their food menu has some staple items as well as some changing and seasonal items. I’ve enjoyed the tapenade bruschetta, herb-marinated olives, gougeres(French cheese puffs), three cheese melt and salmon(market fish) small plate. Kudos to their chef, who’s been doing a great job! This place is truly a neighborhood gem for the locals & regulars, and also worth a trip for foodies and wine lovers in general!

Very cool little wine bar. First this is not a restaurant. It’s a wine bar. The type of place you’d normally expect to only get light snacks as the focus is wine not food. That said the food is really good, with a lot of interesting options. And, they have beer for the non wine set. Prices were reasonable, staff was super nice and extremely knowledgeable of their wines. Ignore the negative couple complainers. They are probably the truce that goes to the tropics and complains about the heat and bugs. Garlic cheese cake is off the hook

What a find! A wonderful selection of wine, apps, small plates and full meals. I had the Thanksgiving wine tasting & charcuterie plate. The owner has an extensive knowledge of all the wines in their collection. They aren’t limited to only OR wines. I’ll definitely return.

The food was mediocre and the owners were pretentious and unfriendly. I even heard the waiter and the chef(one of the owners) trash talking the customer–(me) when the order went to the kitchen.

Cozy neighborhood feel. I love having not to go into PDX. The food is great. Elk meatloaf is one of our favorites. Delicious homemade soups. Be sure to leave room for dessert! Yummy fruit crisps served piping hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! The wine tastings on Wednesday and Thursday evening are very enjoyable. Eric, the owner, is extremely knowlegeable about wines. He always has something interesting to try. And the Chef David is always trying new ways of preparing things. I just found out they also do catering. I plan on using them to help us with our Christmas Party this year.

We had a late lunch so decided to try this place for wine and a snack in the evening. It looked good onYelp: it is. The owner has real enthusiasm for his business… and knowledge. From my perspective, he is living the dream I had but never fulfilled: owning a wine bar. There was a tasting in progress and I got to taste seven interesting blends for $ 15. Some were not that great, in my opinion, but some were pretty good. My wife ate nothing and drank reasonably priced Pellegrino. I had the charcuterie plate of sausages, cheese and an olive bowl add-on. Staff was relaxed in the serving but we were not neglected. This seems a neighborhood place and I wish it were in my neighborhood. It was a beautiful evening and we were able to sit outside which enhanced the experience. For what it provides, I rated it five stars. This is not a five star restaurant and the wines served were not top wines but it is perfect for what we wanted tonight.

Stopped in there almost by accident last night. The place was empty and I wasn’t sure what we were getting into but the owner was incredibly welcoming so we gave it a try. I had the hanger steak and my wife the salmon and they were both very good. A reasonably priced bottle of Piedmont wine rounded out the meal. Kudos to these guys for taking a chance on this little restaurant. Lake Oswego is a bit of a culinary wasteland in comparison with Portland, with a couple of overpriced high-end restaurants and all the usual suspects in the world of chain dining spots. It is nice to see a neighborhood bistro is working so hard to turn out interesting and tasty food. We will be back.

A quaint little bistro off the beaten path of chains on Kruse Way. The ambiance was lovely and intimate. The tuna sandwich was just fine, but for a smallish sandwich and a small helping of chips, I didn’t expect the price to be that high.(Thankfully, my lovely sister in law paid.) But it was delicious. So there’s that.

Had another wonderful meal and dining experience here. The wine tasting excuse is a brilliant date night excuse ever Wednesday and Thursday. Dining here is like eating a home cooked meal and sharing it with family! Than you Eric, the owner, for making every visit a reason to return.

Before the new owners, I had a not-so-good review. Now, however, things have totally changed around and I love this place! The people are very friendly and helpful in finding wine. I love the appetizer options and the atmoshpere is quaint! Service is great and I highly recommend!

This place is great! Really good menu with tasty food. Nice selection of low to high priced wines. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and willing to talk about the wines as well to help you find what you want. They do tastings on Thursday’s, usually starting around 5:30pm. Check their Facebook page for the latest as this time can slide. Arrive early if you want a seat, it can get busy. The knowledge of the people pouring the wine has always been hit or miss for me, sometimes they don’t seem to know very much about the wine they’re pouring — but you can always talk to the owner guy. During Lunch, parking can be a nightmare, so be prepared. But outside of that, I have never had any issues. Highly recommend!

Pretty expensive for what you get, and the food was pretty meh. If it was just that, I would have given three stars because it wasn’t awful. After dinner though, the wait staff brings over an iPad for the bill and stands there while I apparently need to fill it out on the spot. Really? It’s especially weird when you need to stop your conversation, and then everyone(my date, the waitress, and her trainee) is watching you click buttons, like«how much do you want to tip?» Seriously? I have to stop and do all of this right now?! Awful. Waitress did this annoying faux«oh I’ll turn my head while you pick the tip rate» thing, and I just wanted to leave right then and there. A great example of gratuitous technology usage, and besides, what ever happened to a nice, discrete bill?

Very good food and excellent service. Was kinda nervous when I called at 8:20 and was told it was pretty empty. However, it was close and we were hungry so we went for it. Am glad we did. It was probably quiet as it was a hot weekend and everyone was out. We ordered the trio of dips and it was all made in house and delicious. My favorite was the Golden Beet hummus. I also had the Bolognese which was really tasty. Would def come back! Too bad I don’t drink cos they have a wonderful selection of wines.

Nice place, simple, yet inviting décor AND good food! We tried the French onion soup, Bolognese, Piggy Pot Pie, Braised short ribs and polenta — all good and filling. Should’ve tried some Oregonian wine … C’est la vie.

We purchased a bottle of wine here based on one of the owners recommendations– the bottle was marked $ 25.00, when we got the bill the wine was $ 37.00. When we asked about the price difference the owner told us it was a corkage fee and that most restaurants in Portland charge $ 15. He suggested that we were fortunate to have received a lower price– you sold us the wine at a markup! If you sell us the wine, don’t charge us a corkage! It cost more than our lunch, you have no idea how sleazy that feels, we’ll, maybe you do. By the way, we ate here 6 months ago, there was no corkage, and the wine selection was better.

I think I’d go easy on that 5 star rating after the re-open, sounds like a complete shill to me. Good to have it up and running after the sad circumstance for closing but 5 stars no way. First off you have wine buyers and distributors trying to now do food. They really don’t have a clue on the service end when you have to repeatedly leave your table and go up to the counter to ask for napkins or silverware or a glass of water etc. Probably a good idea to learn how to use your cash register. The menu looks like every other menu in Portland although the wine list is interesting but probably a step down from previous years. Poor execution but lots of promise. Worth checking out in the future when they figure out what they’re doing.
