Lake Panasoffkee I-75 KOA

Do not stay here! It is weird. When u pull in there are tailers/​mobile homes everywhere. The 5 tent camp grounds are in the back near the water. We were out in the open, no trees. We brought our boat and the dock was so old. It was covered in cobwebs and I wasn’t sure if it was safe to walk on. Many people live at this location. .all year round. What! Yes. They ride around on there golf carts spying on you while ur trying to camp. I felt like I was an attraction for them. If you are looking for a camping experience please do more research and stay at a different KOA.

If you like the gestapo in golf carts accusing you of speeding over 10MPH and cursing at them, stay here, you will have a blast, went to go for an airboat ride and that is what happened, will never be back here or the airboat ride, go up the road to another KOA or Wild Bills, they gave us a great time after this very poor experience, it is shame, I believe the old guy has a mental issue or something, but it was funny the way his golf cart skidded to a stop and he got out like he was going to do something to me, it was a true Barney Fife Mayberry moment! Wonder if they give him a gun with no bullets!!!
Would give this place a zero as I wasted half a tank of gas getting there, but Unilocal will not allow it. Go elsewhere unless you like getting accused and bad customer service… if you like that THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU NOT

The staff members were extremely helpful. Although we arrived after the office was closed, one of the employees called the manager and she allowed us to check in late at night. You can bring your own RV or you can stay at one of their apartments which are fully equipped with anything you need. It was cleaned, spacious, with working air conditioning. If I happen to be in this area, I would stay there again.
