Hampton Inn Valdosta/Lake Park Area

Hotel was just ok. staff tries but not really efficient. i don’t know if it because of the area it is in but not the norm one expect from Hampton. Breakfast was limited. Not my best experience. Wifi is very poor needs good management

From 2000 – 2011, I travelled frequently for business and stayed at Hampton Inns often. Since I started traveling, Hilton has made tremendous improvements to that brand.
This Hampton Inn in Valdosta could definitely use some updating. The lobby looked redone but the guest rooms need refurbishment. The décor and furnishings look old and dowdy compared to other Hamptons I have stayed at. The bedding could use an upgrade as well. The blankets were thin and scratchy. Other Hamptons I have stayed at have had cushy duvets. The bathroom looked institutional and had cracks in the formica.
The breakfast was standard Hampton with make your own waffles, cereals, sausage, yogurts. Everything was good except the eggs which tasted like they were made from powdered eggs something like that.
The staff was friendly and the place was clean. It just wasn’t aesthetically pleasing or the very comfortable. Until they refurbish, I would try to find another hotel if passing through the area again.

Compared to other Hampton Inns this one is not up to par. We stayed here on New Year’s Eve on our way to Florida. My biggest complaint is that by 8am there was very little left for breakfast. They charged extra for the rooms and knew they were full so should have prepared accordingly. Our room #109 was over heated and we had to turn on the ac when it was 35 degrees outside! Would recommend trying one of the other Hampton Inns in Valdosa!

The wifi did not work. We were able to get Internet access in a hallway but not in our room. We were told that the Internet was being fixed. We asked to be transferred to another room but the lady at the desk said no more we’re available. We arrived at 6pm and there were lots of empty rooms at that time. The clerk didn’t seem to care and blew us off. We were never told about the Hampton 100% satisfaction money back guarantee. We won’t be staying at this Hampton again.

Not a bad hotel in this little one horse town just south of Valdosta, probably one of the best in the area. The staff is friendly and the hotel is convenient, comfortable, and clean.
Lucky for me I made reservations to the hotel a couple of weeks ahead of arrival since when we arrived the hotel had put up a sign that they were booked and only reservations were be accepted. They had a full house that night.
We arrived a little late and went straight to our room where we found a very clean room. The bed was so comfortable with it’s thick sheets and many pillows that we just jumped right in and watched TV until falling asleep. The next morning we awoke to a nice little breakfast spread that included hot items like sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, and oatmeal in addition to cereals and pastries; also some pretty good coffee and juices as well.
Overall, it was a great little hotel to spend the night on our way to the south.

Average at best, located in very busy area. Our room faced a 24 HR McDonald’s which kept our room brightly lit all night.
Exercise room is a joke, old non-​functioning equipment that looks like it was picked u at a tag sale. Really a Schwinn bike?

Below average for a Hampton Inn. However, it was a good, decent, safe, clean option when traveling on I-​75.

Clean, inexpensive and convenient. We stayed here one night on our trip to Florida. Would have stayed here on the way back, but they were full. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a very convenient hotel close to the highway and next to cracker barrel so you can walk right next door. I’m used to only at staying at high end hotels but since its a family trip I gotta stay where everyone else is staying but I was very surprised the hotel is very modern and clean hotel and its pretty stylish It was very affordable and well worth it. And the Beds are very comfy!
